WIth iRacing it's really a joy though. I notice a lot more subtle force feedback from the road. in GT5 the FFB is actually a little flat. YOu don't get a lot of feedback when you're just driving on a normal surface.
With iRacing...this wheel is awesome. With some adjustments in the in game settings...each car can be made to have an incredible feel.

I have my wheel mounted to a wheelstand pro.

I do have FM3 and 360, I just tried it. I wasn't too impressed. Not a huge Forza fan so that could be why, I just didn't feel like there was a point in play FM3 when I have GT5 and iRacing.

Also when I say that the FFB is better in iRacing I don't mean to put down GT5, I think it has something to do with the wheel. I think the G25 having stronger FFB made it stand out a lot more.

Did you drill new holes on your wsp? What about the pedals? I plan on doing what jhunt did to his wsp.

I may dive in and try PC racing when I get this wheel. I only have a mbp though so I don't know how well that would work.

I have a GT2 mounted to my wheelstandpro and I did not need to drill holes. Rather, I used two of the existing holes in the wheelstandpro mounting plate to attach the GT2 (two of the holes match up perfectly with two of the threads in the GT2) and then I also used the table clamp to stabilize the front of the GT2 to the wheelstandpro mounting plate. It works perfectly.

Right now i'm just using the standard clamp it came with, it's ok as long as you don't pull back, lol. Keeps me under control. Definitely need a stand where it can be bolted down.

The ClubSports are fantastic. Well worth dealing with Fanatec for those. Maybe by April/May I will feel like trying the GT2 again. But, for now this shiny new T500 feels pretty good.

I was able to attach FOUR screws to my GT2 through the pre-drilled WSP holes. Holds tight enough.

For the pedals I created my own base plate that sits on top of the WSP floor runners.

I will post pics tonight after work.

Please post the pics. I am curious as to how you were able to get four screws to line up. I only could line up two screws. I am using a wheelstandpro that is made for a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. Are you using a different wheelstandpro, perhaps for the Logitech G25/G27, that might have different pre-drilled holes?

Yeah my WSP was the full version for the G25 with the shifter plate on the side.

I am sure glad it did fit too because the table clamp on the GT2 is not very well designed.

Does the GT2 have pre threaded holes?
If so do they supply them or did you have to obtain them?
Could you give us the sizes if you got them yourself. Obviously you can't go using any old length as they might foul something internal. I would have thought.

Thanks.

the GT2 did have pre-threaded holes and it did not come with the hardware to mount it to a cockpit.

I used the screws that were supplied with the wheelstand pro to mount it. So whatever the thread size/length is for the G25/G27 wheels it would be the same for the GT2.

How far in to the GT2 housing do your bolts go when bolted to your stand.

Recieved the email containing the invoice yesterday, that said it was being shipped now. But no email with tracking numbers has come through so should i take it as my order is on its way or that it's still sitting in germany?

I doubt it has actually shipped yet. It was several days after that email that I received tracking information.

I know the mounting screws for the GT2 are 6mm. Not sure of the overall length. I would guess 20-25mm maybe.

They went in all the way.Not sure how better to describe it than that.

I just put them in and tightened them until they were flush with the stand and it all just seemed to work and fit exactly as it did with the G25.

Exactly the same, got an email 2 days ago that my GT3 has been shipped but still no email with tracking informations...

I waited almost a week after my product went to delivered and I got no tracking info. I emailed claudia and got some tracking numbers, then a few days later she emailed me different tracking numbers that actually worked.

If you guys don't get tracking info by next week I'd email the claudia's and try to get the process rolling.

Ok here are the pics of what I did with my WSP and my CSP.

I'm not much of a craftsman so it's not pretty.
Also it's lopsided to the left because I'd like to add a dead pedal eventually.

i hate to always talk against it since ive never used one, but i just noticed that clamp on the vertical pole. looks like its in a terrible spot. i feel like just by looks alone the rennsport has to be sturdier. sorry to put down anyones purchase but, man. otherwise, you did a good job on it. having to mod a $150 stand is ridiculous though.

Don't feel bad, your criticism is pretty spot on.

As I've said a few times I enjoy the WSP and it gets the job done for me, but if I had known that the Rennsport existed at the time of my purchase, I would not have bought the wheelstand pro.

And yeah, the clamp on the vertical pole is in a bad spot. It used to stick out more and sometimes I'd smash my leg on it.

And back to the GT2 talk... I played a few more hours today and it really is a good product. It's still a little flat in GT5 but in iRacing it is incredible. Especially the CSP. I played with the pot today to get the brake perfect and now I can step on it hard and get about 35% brake and then from there I just increase the pressure.

I am trying to not look at the wheel there because I know mine wont be here till 2012 or... but, uh, what is that Xbox "box"? Have a missed a generation or something?

(and my wife laughed her head off when she saw that wheel I am getting. I think that is a good sign :)

I get asked that all the time. The Xbox "box" is just a PC case with an xbox sticker on it.

I also have WSP with GT2+CSP.

No modification required to make CSP work with WSP. Just lay the CSP atop the horizontal bars and the pedals will be pressed all the way against the far base of the WSP. Mine don't budge in the least. Will post photos later.

GT2 wheel requires two holes drilled in base plate of WSP. Took me about 20 minutes to drill. Works very well.

Rennsport wheel stand not an option for me, as I use low F1 style seating position. Even cut a few inches off WSP vertical bar for increased comfort.
