Hi all,
I'm about to buy some hardware by Fanatec, probably including CSR Elite Pedals;
I would like to know if there are any direct experiences of using Fanatec hardware under Linux.
Thanks in advance,
Enrico

I didn't even know there were race games suitable for use with a wheel on Linux. I'm interested to see an answer to this. Also what kind of games are you going to play with it on Linux?

There's plenty of racing simming available for Linux - even excluding the use of Wine (appdb.winehq.org). Just a few examples: vdrift.net, speed-dreams.org, sf.net/projects/trigger-rally.

Of course I wasn't considering Wine, but thinking about native games. I will check them out at some point. Thanks for the links!

Come on, I can't believe that nobody has had such an experience!

Please, read on: if you have got Fanatec hardware, and would like to have a better operating system or you like hacking, consider trying Linux (and maybe your Fanatec hardware with it...)! You'll be very pleased (and - ridiculous to hide this - you will do me a huge favor).

Here people like sim racing and the familiar interface of Windows most likely. Funny to see how all Linux people always advertise like mad men though. lol

If you like hacking so much. How about making drivers yourself by reverse engineering? Everything will work on Linux with a little effort. ;)

Anyhow... can anyone help this poor soul out? I haven't got a Fanatec wheel yet to test this for him.
