Dang you beat me to it! :dopey:
It looks good , but they all did in the trailers and then :yuck:

I thought the last one was the last in the series?

From the looks of the trailer it will have basically the same story as the previous ones. At least they are keeping the creepy looks between Diesel and
Walker in the movie.

Damnit!! Wrong time for my internet connection to be playing up :/ Well from the 30secs or so I saw it looks pretty good, the last one was ok just a standard action movie but with some nice cars. Not expecting much from this but it should still be entertaining.....they seem to be missing the best cast member of the whole series....Eva Mendez!!

Tokio drift is still the last one in the timeline, that's why that cast isn't in it.

It was pretty obvious that after 4th it was not finished.
They needed to break Dom free

The whole serie was fun, not exceptionals movie, but still good movies that emphasis on cars, so I like it.

Trailer looks cool

1 & 2 I liked, Tokyo Drift was pretty good as a stand alone film, but the last one was rubbish, a real disappointment, this one looks okay though.. some good stunts.. and the Rock too!

The last one was rubbish? You kinda need to explain why you thought it was rubbish. To me, the fourth one was better than Toyoko Drift by a large margin. TD, to me, was a typical American cheesy film and overblown stunts with some slightly odd typecasting and strange scripting (not talking about the way they're speaking, but more on what was said and implied).

The first film was quite good as a film. The second one was slightly different and odd but it was acceptable to watch, in my opinion. TD wasn't very good. Fourth one was as good as the first one, maybe a bit better.

I had high expectations of the 4th film (original cast and all that), and although the basic premise was okay, it was mostly ridiculous, the tanker scenes at the start, the chases through the mountain, it was less about the cars and more about a generic action film, there really was very little I liked about it.

The first one and TD seemed a little more raw, and original. 2 and 4 were a little cheesy.

And I still haven't seen FAST AND FURIOUS. Not that I intend to. The first one was okay as a popcorn film, but the second one was an atrocity. It felt like the pilot to a television series. The third one was okay, except that it glamourised a non-motorsport and made sixteen year-olds everywhere think they can drift.

I will say this though for the trailer - their production values have seriously improved. Watching TOKYO DRIFT, I felt like I was in the middle of a garish video game half the time, but here at least you can see that actual stunt work has been done, which is always preferable.

The only problem I see is that its getting a bit over the top with what happens, towing a safe really? still I will watch it:)

Yes, but I'm still waiting for a movie that continues the story of the first film, and solves the unknowns, 7/10.

The worst film in the franchise, 4/10.
TD wasn't very good.
Has some pretty good and spectacular scenes, could be an independent film not connected with the franchise, 5/10.
Fourth one was as good as the first one, maybe a bit better.
Nope, but at least some of the original actors and actresses are back, 6/10.

Fast Five, the trailer shows another action movie, the spirit was lost.... we'll see.

I really liked number 2 :S

I'm not sure if I will go to the cinema to watch this, I might go simply to hear the cars.

Fast & Furious was the best movie, in my opinion. Though all the movies suck. This doesn't seem to be any different.

The first movie was good. The rest were pretty bad. I don't think this will be much different. The series has been way too over the top from the second one on. I'd much rather watch the first one again. Though I'm sure I'll still end up seeing this one in theaters. And I read that pre-production on the sixth film has already started.

And I still can't believe that they are calling it "Fast Five."

What else can they call it.. Faster and Furiouser? Faster than Furious?

I think all the films have been pretty good and I don't see why everyone hated Tokyo Drift, It was one of my favorites! Certainly better that FF2.

Fast and Furious was a good return to form but it was more of a reintroduction and Fast Five should expand things further.

Robin.

Just let the series die already.

The first one was bad, but at the same time hilarious. The second was terrible and Tokyo Drift was even worse than that. I thought the fourth one was meh, not as bad as 2 & TD.

They will probably call the next one 'Furious Six' ;)

There have been rumors that Lucas Black (FF3) will return for Fast Five to tie the whole arc together, Tyrese Gibson (FF2) is already in.

WTH, Han that guy from tokio drift, is dead. and in F&F he was alive but that was before Tokio Drift or whatever, but this is after and he is still alive.

And ps, compare this with the first movie.
This is just some action movie with cars, not a movie about street racing anymore.
Eventough it was "hollywood streetracing" ;p

Actually, Dom was in the end of the Tokyo drift talking to the main character, saying he owed Han. Dom got arrested at the end of Fast and Furious, so this is still taking place before Tokyo drift. That's why Han is still alive (and will live through Fast Five)

Warning - Spoiler Alert

Ok, Where to begin............

Um just want to start by saying that this movie didnt really cut it for me as a fast & furious film, The one major thing that was super annoying was the lack of car scenes & car races. I remember back to other FF films where the cars were the No 1, especially in Tokyo drift but this movie lacked alot of that.

The story line is just ridicoulous, Absoloutely ridicoulous, they left out alot of what I like to call "explaining scenes" which tainted things for me.

Since when did the Fast 5 become a group or cops & robbers? it doesnt make any sense.

How can 2 Dodge chargers have the ability to tow 10 tonnes at speed?

Why is the The Rock so shiny the whole time?

The above questions basically indicate that this is a terrible movie and not worth the money for the ticket, better to wait for dvd release.

Please discuss.....

I'm totally going to see this on Friday.

And they're already working on the last one, and then 2-3 years after that's released...it'll be rebooted or re-imagined, or whatever 're' prefix Hollywood wants to come up with these days in the opposition of originality.

I want ed to see that one but If it is More of an action movie than a Car one then no thanks.

It's better than Redline and that was all about cars, and I hated every damn minute of it. :yuck:

I haven't even seen this yet and I already know (yes, know) this is better than that crap.
