Fastest car in GT2

I got my Escudo to 270.75mph
-I was doing the tuned turbo event on the Test Course. I was drafting the 180sx and floored it around him. I made 270.75mph to the start of the turn but on the next straight away, the fastest I could go was around 247-249mph without drafting.
I don't have a gameshark so I can't do hybrids. I don't see hybrids as cheating unless you compare them to stock cars (or modified). If you do that, then you are EVIL 😈

-DRAFTING-- stay very close behind the 180sx while pressing the gas, but don't ram him
--i promise you that you will go over 260mph if your gears are set high enough (or low enough )

I got the Drag 180 to 271mph on the test course with no draft. With draft on test course I hit 286 with GT ONE Road Version 98' and is still listed for my best lap time.

i'd have to say the speed 12 and the gt90 when its fully tuned up. the damn thing has so much torque and lightweight that it could hold its own against the speed 12, meanwhile the speed 12 just sits there spinning its wheels violently fast... :burnout:

Hi Guys i am new here!!! Anyway my fastest cars is My Arta, Unisia, Zexel Skyline they reach speeds over 200 mph the fastes i have gone is 231mph but i have a drag skyline and drag 100sx or somem and the fastest i can get with them 219mph after it reaches there it just slows down!!!!!! do u know whats wrong with this!!!!!!!!!

Ok, you are leaving out detail like how close you are to redline in the rpm band.

If the car is slowing down but the tach is not bouncing it probably means that the speed you are reaching is greater than what the car's hp can handle at that point.

Suppose that your peak horsepower is 600 hp at 7000 rpm. In your car you might be able to get and maintain 205 mph. But if the rpm increases or decreases to a point where the hp is significantly less, you will not be able to maintain the high speed.

You can adjust gearing so that you are in the peak power band for your car after you have shifted to 6th gear.

Try lowering your ride height, reducing your downforce and putting camber on 0/0 front and rear.

Yeah thats great but this was in Gran Turismo 2
And i dont know how you lower ur ride and change everything but i can tune up how do you lower your car????!?!?!?! :lexus:

you set the ride height to a lower level. isn't there a settings menu? it should be the second adjustment. under spring rates.

if it's an arcade car, you are out of luck

The fastest car I've driven so far is a Wiegert Vector W8 Twin Turbo. It's really fast even when it's just in 3rd gear. And I was wondering. Why do these Vector cars look like Lamborghinis?

Raw power? Speed 12.

Fastest all around? GT40. It seems to do much better than other cars in the high mid range and straight-a-ways.

But I don't think it's like a 4WD. I have trouble controling it in corners, unlike, say, my Arta GTR, which is practically impossible to spin out.

I've also had good luck with my fully tuned TVR Griffith 500 Blackpool.
