Hey No Bull,

How often are you having connections issues? Wired is the way to go. As a temp fix you can adjust the location of the router within the room it's in to get a better signal to the ps3 location. If you have a smart phone - use a wi-fi signal app to measure signal strength at the ps3 location. Have someone shift /move the router in the other room until you get the best possible strength. Small changes in router location can make an impact.

You don't need your phone to check signal strength. Your ps3 is probably more accurate at this. Go to settings>network settings>settings and connection status list.

This is super helpful, as it shows you how strong your connection is in a percentage. On top of that, you can still access it in-game if you press the PS button.

Crap. You guys raced yesterday? Sorry I didn't show up. I didn't realize you raced every week. Although I had to work yesterday anyways. I don't normally work on sundays, it has been about 6 months since the last time I had to work on sunday. A lot of people were on vacation this week so I may have just been taking someone's place but if they keep putting me on sundays I guess I'll withdraw. Hopefully not because I really enjoyed the race at Madrid, that was one of my most enjoyed races with GT5 ever

actually not that often the connection problems seem to really spike on sundays at the convient time of 10pm est right when s.n.a.i.l racing strts. I sware I only get disconnected at that time on sunday and sometimes once or twice during the week

Did you put your ps3 in a dmz yet? Do that ish, and don't use wireless, the wireless on the ps3 is notoriously shiet
 
My Router is right next to the PS3 n i get 65 - 70% signal, so i have a 2Metre Ethernet cable and its the best, besides, i stream Hi Def movies from my PC to the PS3 so i need the fastest connection. I have a Gigabit Ethernet on the switch plugged into the router but PS3 only supports 100MB :( i'd love to stream my adult movies to the bedroom but i guess i'm getting a bit off topic :D

try "ps3mediaserver" it's free and you can stream your "movies" with no problemo.
 
Yep, thats what i use at the moment to watch 720P movies, the 1080P ones do lag or freeze occasionally. And they have also started doing my adult ones in 1080P too, its so real its like being there :D

Edit - I dunno about you guys but my arms hurt a little from all that turning at Monaco, also one of the reasons i didn't play GT5 since the last 60 lap Practice race.

After watching the replays I think I finally found out why my times were so awful compared to everyone else's (I think my best lap was 1:14 on mediums).

I guess I was trying a little too hard to emulate real-life F1, as I was literally the only person who actually geared down for corners. All of you guys went through the hairpin (which is a 1st gear corner) in 3rd, sometimes 4th gear, and took all of the corners at a higher gear then intended, which seemed to work out in your benefit, as your exit speed from those corners was much higher then mine. I didn't watch the replays from everyone's perspective, but it seemed as if everyone I did spectate had used that tactic. Ahh, the little things like that make all the difference I guess

I love the Monaco track. I am very mad I got DC'd again. I have never had this much of a problem with GT5 and my internet.

I have my internet company coming out tomorrow. I have been avoid that as it will likely cost me $$, we'll see. I even had my new modem up for a few days with minimal problems. During the race I didn't lose my internet connection (PCs still had internet), but got booted from the server anyway. Once my network is figured out I'll have to do that PS3 refresh thing that GianDoe mentioned (if I can find what page he said it). I'm getting used to getting DC'd now, but it still makes me mad as hell.

I sure hope so. I don't find out my schedule until fridays but like I said, I normally don't work sundays so I figured I wouldn't have a problem racing. Most likely it was just this week they needed me.

It's a bummer I missed monaco, that's one of my favorites even if I can't get my F1s to take the grand hotel hairpin

Afro I thought you said you were using a wheel. From the replay it's obvious you aren't. Lock to lock happens exactly like wilso and tire wear is heavy on the front just like wilso's. Maybe I misunderstood you before but it's really obvious without a doubt. Everyone with a wheel will have much less front tire deg and will look smoother so it's easy to see.

No bull, Toolo try this on your PS3. www.speedtest.net/mini.php
You can type Speedtest .net in your PS3 search bar and Mini should be the second one down , this will give you a good idea of the connetion your PS3 has i think its more acurate than the one built in the the PS3 . To restart it refresh the page pressing the start button twice is the quickest. I get an average Mbps of 6.4 download and .8 of upload.

Well that's a shame. I'd like to actually fight with as many people in the points - it makes it much more interesting and much more exciting to finish above the others.
 
Sure killa but you have miss 2 races that have cost much points.
 
I know, Sundays are usually when my parents want to take the family somewhere. To be honest I'm lucky enough to actually have points for 4th, because they go out much more during the summer than after it.
 
Still a strange fact that the last two Ferrai WC ive been in ive missed both Fuji races now three:odd:
I should make the rest of the season though.
 
I find Fuji very difficult (to run fast) in the F10. I lose all my time in the last sector.Will definitely start practicing tonight. I have all the old set ups I used last season to see what works. My plan is to get some practice in every day to get ready for the next race!!!👍
 
I dont stream any races but I might stream a practice session. Wont stream the race because it takes away my concentration from the race. If you see in the video I posted I keep weaving on the straights. Thats down to me looking at my laptop which is where id look at the chatbox.

I doubt I can match the editing skills of toolo4sno. That man should have a job at FIA TV. Perhaps I could do a 10min highlight video but definitely not a full race.

I swear to god I'm using a wheel, a DFGT. I took different lines through some of the corners, which probably put more stress on the tires. As for the lock to lock at the hairpin, I have the FFB set relatively low (5) so I can flick the wheel from lock to lock quickly. The low FFB settings could possibly be why you think I'm using a controller, as there is less resistance and I can move the wheel much quicker then the default FFB setting (10). I'm not sure how to prove I'm using a wheel. I took a picture of my setup a little while ago while playing F1 2011 and posted it on twitter. When I find the link, I'll post it
