I have both of them, and I'm pretty sure the HP on both of them is maxed.
F2007-721HP@18500RPM, 545KG(469 miles)
F2010-726HP@17500RPM, 560KG(202 miles)

Drive your F10 another 93 miles then do an oil change. From everything I've read it takes @ least 200 miles before the motor is broken in.

You are correct. I made it 200 miles now, maybe it's at the max now.

Only a 5 HP difference but a 15KG difference in weight. I like more power but give me the lower weight car. It sucks that these cars can't be raced against each other in 2P Arcade mode.

How do you guys like driving the cars? I'm saving up for an F2007.

The money isn't that daunting; I've spent 15 million on the Lamborghini Miura (and I don't regret it one second!).

I have the F2007 and it is very fast, but looking at real life i think that a F10 could be the quicker car. It has a smaller rear wing, but then it is an older car, so aerodynamically it won't be as efficient as the F10 in terms of downforce/drag. But it also depends which F10 spec it is, if it is the late season one i think it is faster because of the development on the car. Blown diffuser and because it has slicks, which will improve slow speed cornering immensely. But i bought the F2007 simply because i wanted the penniless trophy.

I've driven my F2007 for about 35 miles & that's it. The car is pretty much useless but to race in one make races, online races & to trade. I've given away 3 of them & no that does not mean I will be giveing anybody else one for free.

Tested it out on straight and F2007 goes about 214 max and F10 barely goes 203ish, so F2007 is faster and the fact that the F2007 costs more than the F10 is kinda a hint that the F2007 is better

By your it costs more therefore it makes it better theory is highly flawed. Is the '69 Ford GT40 $7.5mil better than the F2007? What about any of the other $20mil cars (except the X2010)? Are they $7.5mil better than the F2007?

have just bought the f10 also, and i can tell you straight away that a 150/200 downforce and 5/4 break bias is way faster then my f2007 on the top gear test track. Harder to drive in the sense that as soon as it gets out of shape you are dead, but lot less understeer and a lot less oversteer out of the corners like on the f2007. And since it is 2,5mil cheaper that is the one to go for. I think it is more fun to drive as well, though i like the F2007 because it was the one Raikonen drove : )

I think both cars are similar, but the F2007 was made at a time when the restrictions werent as tight.

Again, it was a very lame move to block the Ferrari F1 cars from being used in any events, not even offline A or B-spec races :grumpy:

Especially since they are very nice cars too :(

I ran a few tests between these two. First off I did a top speed test:
Aero--------------F2007---------------F10
Default(108/150)---221MPH-----------216MPH
50/100-------------228MPH-----------223MPH
150/200-----------217MPH------------212MPH
Then I ran some laps at the Top Gear Test Track. For default aero the F10 was quicker with a time of 53.141 vs 53.261 of the F2007. For max aero the F2007 was quicker with a time of 50.925 vs 51.254 of the F10.
To me, the edge goes to the F2007. But they are very similar.

I did a bunch of searching, and finally came across this. Great post - this is exactly the kind of data I was looking for. 👍

I did the same, I managed a 52:xxx in the F2007, whereas in the F10 i couldn't even get it round the track, so i'd say F2007

The F2007 is the better car....at least, for me it is. I can't drive the F10, but with the F2007, I easily win. The handling is just so much better, or so it seems.

I enjoy the F2007 a lot more.

They're very similar in lap times, but different in driving styles.

F2007 has all the nannies on. You can not turn them off. So its a very easy car to drive. Taking it to the limit through high speed corners requires very fast hands. Makes GT5 a great hand speed trainer.

The F10 has no TCS but more mechanical grip. Little easier through the high speed twitches and slow corners as well. But, you must be cautious of throttle oversteer when tracking out.

I'm running both with a controller and frankly, I find it hard to point out an obvious difference in driving characteristics. Any difference I feel has more to do with different downforce settings than anything.

I bought GT5 just to drive the F1 cars. How can I drive them right away? Or do I have to go through all the classes and earn all the credits to get to drive one?

I you purchased GT5 just for the F1's, prepare to be disappointed. You can drive the Formula Gran Turismo in quite a few upper level races but the F10/F2007 can only be driven in one set of current Seasonal Events and, I'd assume, a one-make race under Practice. The two Ferrari's can't be driven in A or B-spec at all.

If you wanted to race f1 cars, wouldnt F1 2010 be a better deal? Fair nuff if ya want the other cars but yanoo!

The F2007 is as fast and has the better handling - it's also looking way more awesome, in my opinion. :p

Then again, not much use for them outside of online lobbies and the current seasonal challenge. Yet, you can win one through a level 24 ticket - obtained by winning all endurance races in either A-Spec or B-Spec.

I looked at the prize car list and the F1 cars aren't there. You have to buy one if you want it legit? There's no way to win one?

Like Scuzzilla said, you can only buy one from the dealership, win one from a level 24 ticket, or if you hurry you can trade for one before 3/3/2011 :nervous:

The F2007 is 12.5 mill and the F10 is 10 million in credits.

Wich of these two F1 cars do you prefer to drive, and wich is the fastest one around the tracks?

You are welcome to post your lap times for comparisom.

I am thinking about buying one of these now, but I cant make up my mind on wich one to choose...

Don't buy either!

You get a two Lvl24 Reward tickets from completing the Endurance Halls of Aspec and Bspec. You're guaranteed to get one of them. Use the 20mil on something else, there won't be anything more frustrating than to waste your hard work on getting a duplicate car.

Honestly, buy something else. You can't even use the F10 or F2007 in Aspec races..

On topic: I prefer the F10, it just feels that bit more modern.
