F1 is a great spectacle but you have to support a driver/team to make it interesting. I like KERS and DRS and look forward to every race. It is a shame there is no US drivers at present as this would help the popularity in the states, the new american circuit should help though.

America has indycar... It's not quite the same though... Indycar is to grand am as f1 is to ILMC

SM- Ill google it, hope not because the new circuit looked awesome!
Just checked and although its not definate it does look doubtful, what a shame :(

Aaronrray- I know, Indycar is good fun but like you say it isnt a patch on F1, look on youtube at all the F1 vs Indycar vids. All motorsport has its followers but F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport imo.

The F2007 is physically faster and more prompt on its sideway response required for swifter motion in cornering, but I think the F2010 can handle much better as it's fully provided with electronical aids geared toward for safety in protecting the driver from unexpected happening of their machine, soon befalling to the driver himself as a result of preceding accident.

VERY few of the American drivers have ever shaped up in F1. Mario Andretti was an ace but I can't think of any more recent ones? Michael Andretti was dismal & so was Scott (no) Speed. ;)

I only got into F1 a few years ago, I remember S.Speed vaguely, was he that bad? Who did he drive for. I am sure if F1 took a hold in the uS there would be some grass roots programmes to develop the vast pool of talent that must be over there.

In stitches

I Don't have either I cannot seem to get one how the hell you get so many from tickets mystifies me

Someone has the decency to laugh at my lame joke :)
If you can come in the top 5 in any of the remaining races ill do my best to get you a Ferrari F1 car.
Make it onto the poodium ill try and get you 2.

From everything I've heard, the '07 is faster in a straight line and on fast bends, but the '10 is faster on slower, twisty tracks.

I have decided to save up some credits to buy one of the Ferrari f1 cars. Which one is better in your opinion? Just wondering..

F2007 in GT5 although in reality the F10 is faster on the tracks they both raced at.

I prefer the F10, though both of them have horribly wrong gearing, which can't be corrected even with the transmission adjustment 👎

Trade for a level 24 ticket so you don't have to spend 12 million on the car. Save a back up and use the ticket. If you don't get the car you wanted, just reload the saved file and try again. 👍

I find the F2007 to be faster at every single track than the F10. It's also a lot easier to drive too. But I find the F10 to be more fun as it is a bit unpredictable. :)

So I heard youre a HUGE Senna fan, right?

F10 should have more power and less drag and more tyre grip F2007 should have more aero grip.

F2007 is faster. More downforce, smaller wheelbase, higher reving engine. maybe the f10 is faster in low downforce trim, but that's not really what f1 cars are all about.

no they should have the same tyre grip because they use the same tyre in gt5 , the only difference is aero , f10 should be much harder but now anybody can prove its arcade , I wouldn't even call it easy , just arcade.

Formula 1 changed the regulations for 2010 stating that the cars needed to be able to hold enough fuel for the entire race, no pit stops for fuel, tires only. So, the F2010 comes in a bit heavier and slower than the 2007 does due to the larger fuel cell onboard, and it has a fatter mid section to prove it. The 2007 is quite quick and nimble if setup right, whereas the 2010 has a lot of cockpit shake at speed, making it difficult to gauge turns properly. Of the two, I prefer the 2007.

I borrowed the F10 from a friend long ago, and kept sliding around so much and losing control. The F2007 (that I bought) is just a blast to drive. So I'd go with the F2007 unless you want to race with a current-spec F1 car.

I have enough money to get one of them but I am not sure which one I should get, I have noticed that it doesn't tell you the power for them. Can anyone help please.

The numbers are very close:

Model-HP-Torque-PP-Weight-Ratio kg/bhp
2010 704 212 871 560 0.8
2007 700 198 871 545 0.8

However, from my experience, the 2010 handles a bit better, but the 2007 is a bit faster. The Gran Turismo Formula GT is faster than both of them, but is a bit more squirrelly in the handling.

After reading Oshawa Joe's post, now I'm not sure if it's the 2007 or the 2010 that was the better handling car for me. :O It's been a long time since I drove them both in the same day.

You should get both for sure. Most people including myself find the 2007 much easier to drive making it the easiest to take around the track = quickest lap times.

HP when broken in:

2007 721hp
2010 726hp
