Hi guys, I have just hit 13,000,000 credits so I can now afford both the Ferrari F1 cars. I read somewhere that the 2007 is a better (and more expensive) than the 2010. Why?

Should I buy this car or is there something better I should get. Should I get the Pug 908 or that Mazda instead?

I already have an Enzo, McLaren F1 etc

Hear from you soon!

The Mazda 787B is worth the money, while the F2007/F10 are only good for that Ferrari F1 seasonal and if a lobby online has F1 cars only set.

The 2007 also has a lot less FFB if you play with a wheel.
So it's a little les noisy and easier to drive.

if you put the suspension tune of the f2007 on the f10 the f10 is faster due to the better aero and downforce it puts out

The F10 has slicks, which leads to faster acceleration, and better grip on the road. However, the F2007 has more downforce. Use the F10 on short tracks, and the F2007 on long tracks.

Some people say the 10 is faster around certain tracks, there is lots of threads with this on already so have a read and decide for yourself but general opionion would point towards the 07 (even if it is ugly bugly).

Ugly!!!!!!!!?????? :@

I think the F2007 is faster and more stable in the corners, so that is what I use around Spa.

@ SANDMAN13

The 10 is much better looking than the 07, I mean .....come on!

@Schwartz

It does feel better but dont think its as fast over a wide selection of tracks.

Which one is faster?

In real life? Or in the game?

In real life F10 just shredded the F2007. It's a normal evolution in F1 cars. I.e. F2007 got 204 points in WCC (1st) and the F10 got 396 (3rd; with 2 races more). If the simulation is correct, the F10 car is a much better car.

In the game i guess they are pretty the same. I didn't try any special tune for those cars, but the PP are the same for both (ini. and max.). So i guess unless someone finds a better tune for any of them, they should behave the same in general. Although, the weight difference between them may, may make a difference, providing a better max speed to the heavier one (560kg) in some tracks. Even though, from what i've seen, F2007 got better laps in Indy (43.088 vs. 43.620).

Conclusion: The F10 is cheapper so, i guess that would be the prime choice. Although i guess you should try it for yourself and buy both of them. Test them in Nurburgring and take them for a speed test in Indy.

Dont buy one till you complete a and b spec though, as you may end up with 2 of the same car like me :(

I hope the F10 is better/same, shame there is no KERS on the 10.

I don't think any of them are prize cars.

Level 24 ticket?
I definatley won one because I had 2 after completing b spec and I only bought 1.
Just checked and you win level 24 tickets for completing both a and b spec.

Edit- I now have 2x 2007 and 4x2010 due to my friend sending me tickets (why oh why cant you sell them!!!)

But they had different points systems. Then it was 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 but now it's 25-18-12-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. So you cannot compare points in a season.

The evolution of race cars is often backwards, if you look at the f10, you'll notice that the wing is much smaller. Another example of de-evolution is between the Audi R8 and R10 LMP cars...

Formula 1 has been getting 'nerfed' to be a more competitive racing series

the F10 is evidence of this. the 2007 is faster in real life and in the game

It was definitely competitive this year... NOT!!!
F1 is just a money competition as of right now, but it hasn't always been.
