i think my nickname should be smokey, when it comes 2 driving style im almost always smoking my front tires in the corner going into a corner at full steer thats y i had 2 pit twice in the monaco race i ate up my front tires. toolo could vouch 4 me we've raced each other enoff so he's probably seen me smoking the corners a few times, if i had 2 guess it would probably have to be the camber i run although my tireware is pretty even i guess .

i figured a good way 2 test your skills and have some fun i took my F2007 and did some laps on Autumn ring mini really take a bit a skill 2 get a good line but its fun 2 i got a 0:26.120 give it a try ;]

If your smoking that bad then you might want to check your setup, especially your spring rates, dampeners, and camber settings.

O really I don't practice offline but only online :)

My Ps3 is dead right now too

You mean no abs , like me endless wants to do no abs too :D

no i run abs... id be in trouble with out it

I don't use abs, also abs is not going to make the tires smoke mid corner.

It will but you are only going to smoke with abs if you like understeer ^^

That is completely wrong in reality you would spin the car like it does in the f10 in online atleast.

An example is braking hard while turning hard on a medium fast corner or slow , hairpin in Suzuka - very bumpy and uneven elevation , you need to apply opposite lock on braking just like in reality on those corners with those type of surfaces , not sure on the f2007 I gave mine away 4 months ago

Part of GT5's years of development is going to the actual track and copying every single surface detail like nurburgring and suzuka

I should have been a little more precise in my wording, there are some types of corners, like decreasing radius corners where you must brake quite late into the corner, or an increasing radius corner where you want to use the throttle to induce over-steer, where you may see some smoke.

i run a soft frontend with up 2 3.5-4.0 deg of camber so when the tires brake loose mid corner all the weight and grip they had generaites losts of friction , which = SMOKE
or thts how i see it. but like Rev said ye its "understeer smoke"

Your on the list already.

Hey I wonder if they WILL turn PSN back on at 23:59:59 on Sat. :sly:

The F10 was really competitive last year. This year the Ferrari 150° Italia has just struggled, off the pace BIG TIME. Some designers are going to get fired from Scuderia very soon if they cant make this thing work. You know the Ferrari CEO wants to "wack" whomever has F-d up with the car design. :sly:

There's a channel where you can watch their progress.

Offline physics is undoubtedly unrealistic due to corners in Suzuka being taken flat-out , like turn 3-4 and the high speed corner before the last corner to sector 2. Offline is an awful lot easier than the real car too like the multiple rally champion from UAE that crashed a 2008 Renault f1 car on a stand still in a straight line. Although I'm not so sure because 2008 f1 car's don't have the 2009 or 2010 regulations which is even more difficult than 2009's with the wheel fairings and large front tyres and the biggest bit the double difuser being banned completely. Which in conclusion the F10 is undoubtedly the closest you'd get by vettel's alone , rbr and GT experience , not sure on the F2007 though but it's close to the Toyota F1 in the old GT's :D

But even the lap times confirm this and GT is not like rfactor with the "simulated lap times" bur rather makes nothing close to the real thing at all.

But truth is racing car's are never easy , on the limit the drivers always put everything on the line.

Confirmed by a dozen rally world champion from UAE.

I dont think there's any miscalculation online

Because in japan grand prix 2010 , Lewis Hamilton crashed at practice

So you'd expect some other people to crash as well

But actually a dozen of them failed to finish ^_^

And that's on the dry

On quali and practice 3 or 4 already crashed

When the race started even before turn 1 ended already 4 have retired

Not everyone could go on the limit in Suzuka due to the 2010 regulations

Sebastian vettel who won in 2009 and 2010 knows the limit in Suzuka

He is the only 1 who has done 128 and insists of 127 but it's too risky

But obviously the g force in suzuka is always 4g even 5

Oh and by the way the lap times confirm this and also times are made by the reality of track / car physics in GT5

I may have some short term entertainment that we all can reminisce about. I bought myself an HD PVR and have been editing some GT5 video recently. It's been working so far, but my CPU is ancient and takes forever to render. No promises, but I may have a highlights video of the Monaco race we had eons ago ready for YouTube within a few days. Honestly the video is centered mostly around me, sorry. I did get most of the other racers passes; to the best of my ability/patience. Since GT5s replay controls are insufficient it basically takes a full race capture of every view of every racer you want. Sometimes I play director and change people/views on the fly, but that is cumbersome. Anyway, I'll update later.

Dude I watched that replay, you totally T-boned Reventon at 150 mph. LOL, he'd have been in the hospital after that one.

What? Are you talking about after his spinout (Lap 3 turn 1)?

May I ask you guys what kind of laptimes do you have on the Nürburgring GP track? I've just tried the F2007 on mediums (offline of course.. :( ) and I did a 1:29, but I'm not sure it will be enough.. Thanks

Try atleast 128 at offline if not continuous 129s

Yeah, haha. Your not in trouble or anything. I just though that was funny. :sly:

Do you think I was gonna go around the other way and let you blaze on ahead? And it was a mere 110mph-ish hit. I'm sure you'll find more incriminating evidence in the link below.

Some things learned. I didn't realize that Youtube videos have a 15min/2gb limit. I also didn't realize that when you give them a 720p file they downconvert a 480p, 320p, and 240p for you. Awesome, I thought I'd have to do that.

So is my car choppy (connection) for everyone else's saved replay. Because some of your cars are pretty choppy in my replay. Almost in a comical-cartoonish kinda way. I assume when each person watches replays of their own cars they aren't that choppy.

I updated the first post with this Monaco race vid. I'm not a big you tube guy so hopefully tool can do our vids. This one turned out real well, imo. And the contact is nobody's fault.
