I want to re-schedule this race for later in the week. Perhaps Wed. what do you guys think? You have to give me some feedback.

Wednesday is pretty bad for me unless its after 8PM EDT. My kid has soccer class from 6:45 to 7:30.

Wed. is my only day with something scheduled that I can think of off hand.

I wanted to do it, but it wasnt popular among the "purists" & others who dont have all the nordschleife sectors down.

That's a shame its a really good track for the F1 cars too but it may just be that I am a total nordschleife addict lol.
I seen a YouTube video of some one doing a lap of the tourist layout in under 5 mins looked one hell of a lap too if he did it with no driver aids.

Laguna Seca should be a good race too the F2007 handles really well on that track, I had worries about really bad bottoming out on the corkscrew making the car go erratic,but after playing a few laps the car handles great on that track.

Making passes at the 'Ring in F1's is quite harry. That track barely feels two car widths wide in some areas. I love the track too. I just don't feel it belongs in this series. We won't be doing anything until PSN is back up. What did people do before online video games.

I see your point, But I dont think its a track that does not belong in the series its just a track that requires a lot more care and attention when overtaking.
I think its a shame we cant map the buttons on the G25/G27 or we could assign the wheel buttons to look left and right always a big help when doing trick overtakes and close racing.

I dont even remember playing that meany games before online play came along lol.

PD should have given full support to the G27 (did they dont know). With my DFGT the GT5 is really alive. Compared to F1 2010 its night and day.

Yea the G25/G27 should have had full support, I noticed the DFGT felt a little more responsive on GT5 compared to my G25.
Hopefully they will work out some kind of update for this in the future I hope.

As far as I know its still down but the last time I checked was 3 hours ago.

Can you clarify what the rules are? I'm guessing heavy damage, grip reduction to real, tire wear on, and no penalties right? Is there a formulation lap, or any reconnaissance laps? Are you using a two wheel rule?

In the F2007 you'll use mediums, F10 softs. The F2007 is a bit quicker at the GP/F even with that tire reg. 1:30.5 is a real good time. 1:29 in the F10 without runoffs or cutting is getting freakish.

Are these times online or offline?

I never use car setups. They are worthless in GT5. The basic setup with max downforce and gears just long enough for the fastest strait is almost always the optimal package.

Really? I have spent quite some time on my setup, and recently revamped it completely and took 1.5 sec off my fastest time on Nurb GP. Max down force is just slowing you down on tracks that don't need it, ie Monza.

I don't want to be a negative Nancy here, but I think PSN is down for a while. I wouldn't make any firm re-scheduling plans until the thing is back up. Unless you get a lot of feedback from the regulars I wouldn't change the day.

Oh really, thats interesting. But they have millions of passwords to choose from.

As far as the rules couchy, you have to keep 2 wheels on the track at all time, and only ABS is allowed. No other aids. In my opinion the car setups dont do much. Yes increasing front camber helps the cars turn in a little better, but eh. Its not 1.5 sec. diff, you improoved your driving skill with the practice laps while tinkering with the setup.

Light damage, real grip redux, tire wear on, and i think penalties are off. No reconn lap. Rich opens up practice for around 30 min. Then he changes track, then back. We then have a 15 min qualify (free run) and start the race after that.

From this article it appears "they" got names, addresses, email addresses, birthdates and passwords. My guess is its in an easily sortable form. I'd just assume "they" got your login and password.

Works OK. Its hard to get everybody to stop and start after a formation lap. If we did that there'd be false starts galore. Its hard to catch that too with slightly "off" connection rates and what not.

Add mustardaddict as a friend on PSN when it goes back up. If we all looose the PSN accounts then that really F-S things up anyways doesnt it. Would be tough to re-group if that happend.

A little off topic but, do any of you have rfactor? As I am currently downloading the fsr 2011 f1 mod. I tried the demo and the wheel felt better than in gt5, in terms of feel for the road.

I've got a copy of rFactor, I was sent in one package with my G25, but it never wanted to work. The disk has some problem I think. I play with Race07 now on PC and it has really good open wheel cars too. (Formula3 I think)
