Wow dude, whats your secret?????
Right, im gonna have a quick run round tonight see if I can best it! Your getting faster steve.

No secret just running fast. Tried to do 106s again. I spin out. Still working on setup. See ya at the race! Peace out

1.07,236 still my best lap. I am sticking with that as I have never been the fastest in qualifying but seem to do ok in the race :)
Quick practice tonight or tomorrow then its time to find out :P

106's are possible but only if you lean on the srf hard. Gotta thank pigboy for giving out his diff setup earlier, the best setup I found for use with driving aids, thanks bro. Also for me this has to be one of the most monotonous tracks in gt5, no elevation change no trees, genaric cookie cutter corners. Funny thing is I've been to this real track for the usgp twice, I guess gt5 is just a game...

Yes, thats 3 people that I know that have run this time so far. If you get time, have a run round with your SRF off and see how you get on mate :)
I think its a fairly simple track but I am sure it will produce a good race tomorrow, much better than DFR.

Edit: Then go round with an F10/07 with SRF off and compare times. Im using SRF to replace the missing downforce, hoping you get the same results as me :)

PB, you are overpracticing. Its like revising for an exam, dont overdo it! See you in 7 hours :)

Your lap speed is good! Looks like your setup is working m8. See you at race! Peace out

Results Posted!!

Just wanted to say, what a fantastic race!
Everyone was respectful and fought hard until the end, Congratulations to Ronin. You worked the pit strategy well and kind of beat me at my own game (I usually use 1 stopper)
Well done to the rest of the field too, great battles between Runfast and Sakery, Electric popped his nose into that one regularly. Good fight up front too with the top three.
Oh and Fergus, amazing fastest lap, I have never even heard a rumour of a 1.05 before. At least im not the only one to have run out of fuel now lol, sorry had to mention it.
Great stuff!

That was a good race :D
Surprise at the end where I saw (read) that ETID ran out of Fuel => 1 spot better for me.
At some point I tried to stick to you rhyf (Lap 38 me think where you lapped me). This gave me my fastest ever Lap with this combo (1:09.815) but this felt mean wicked and totaly on the edge of spining almost every Corner :D (thx for that rhyf xD)
=> I went back to my safe 1:10-1:11´s :D
Just because I can´t drive with that SRF respectively I can´t use the grip it provides (my times are almost the same => I don´t use it).
I wanted to do a 30 Lap stint but my 27th Lap was a 1:13.987 => I would have lost too much against electric so I pitted.

PS:
This is the official Lap Record for the F1 at Indy:
0:01:09.454 (Practice) 0:01:10.399 (Race)
Set by Rubens Barrichello
=> I´m close to that => I´m a F1 driver *freakout* *Rubens who ??* xDDDDD

Trial Mountain will be harder then Indy for sure => I have to train more :D

I had a terrible race today. it was fun and im happy i was consistent but i was just so bad today:yuck:
I got knocked off in the first lap causing me to be 60 seconds behind. Then i ran out of fuel on almost the last lap ahaha.
Someday i will be good at FGT driving. Some day...

Oh the pain of it...Sometimes it isnt possible for me to attend.Im spewin i cant even watch it.I got up and want5ed to watch it before all me other motorsport events i watch, and checked results of this b4 anythin else.GGRRR.Off to cry some more.
Actually the next few weeks should be more stable for me.Theiving family dont help..!!..but thats my problem.I practiced so much for indy too.

enjoyed the race, wasnt expecting to finish 4th, runfast1 was so close behind me on the last couple laps, i kept loosing a lot of time every lap.

Sakery - Indy worked out really well for the FGT's didnt it, I hope Trial Mountain doesnt end up being messy like deep forest did, there is a bit more room but we will all have to be careful of the other drivers. Do you know what year Rubens set the lap record? I might have a lap in the F2010 car with no aids and see if I can match it. It was a good scrap and I see you are holding runfast off in the drivers leaderboard :)

Skate- Run some practice with us in the week man, you will get better the more you race, I am going to have a run round after work If you want to join in.

PB - Dude! Everyone was asking. Where is PigBoy? I was gutted you couldnt make it but you are still 3rd so try and make the rest of the season if you can. I know its not always possible but its better when you and neth are there. Sorry your haveing problems atm mate. Let me know what kinda times your pulling around TM.
Still 7 races left so your still good to challenge for No. 1 :)

12th in the championship now mate, and you have only done 2 races! Like I said above lots more to go before the end so see what you can do.

Rubens set it 2004.
Be carefull at the 2nd and 3rd Turn it´s very tricky without any aids (during the Race I turned TCS to 3 because of Tire saving) and the Mickey-Mouse sector (the two Hairpins) is also "smokey" ;)

Trial Mountain is a fast Track with lots of Bumps => i´ll have to train how the FGT reacts in certain situations
I do know the Track very good (GT2 2 Hour Endurance, GT3 and GT4 plus It´s one of my favourites :D) but not with the FGT :D
I think last chicane and first two Turns are crucial when Tire wear sets in ;)

Runfast is my "Team-mate" => he can pass me in the Drivers-Leaderboard (not fightless though xD). Are there any "prizes" for the constructor-championship ?? If no it´s ok.

I also missed PigBoy and nethreal just because of the Racing they would have given to you :D That replay would have been fun to watch.

Hey everyone, good race at Indy:) tm is gonna be wild n fast! Drove it after Indy and it's one of my fav tracks. Takes a few laps to get running fast! Get it runfast,:) lol. A ran a good lap or two 101.xxx now time to tune car. Peace out!

Hey Guys,
Glad to hear that yesterday turned out to be a great race. Happy for all of you
Sorry I didnt make it , but should be there for the next!

Yeah, best race for me ever. I was pressured all the way to the end
After complaining about Indy it's nice to see that it's a good track for racing. Now on to the awsome deep forest. It seems my setup is better for smooth tracks though, don't know how to tune for bumpy tracks in this car, any tips?

Oh and Rubens set it in 2004, with that wonderful V10 noise, I was there to see it
The race was a procession though, but the Honda engine in the bar was the best, made my teeth rattle

Sakery- Just had a run round Trial Mountain, I am worried it will be too arcadey and end up like Deep Forest. But hopefully everyone will drive like they did at Indy, I wont try and beat Rubens in the F2010 as I believe the cars back in 04 were much faster. Do you know if they were allowed TCS and ABS back then?

Runfast- I managed a 1.02.xxx with no tuning so once again your a little faster than me, tyre wear is awful on the rears too.

Neth- Dude! Come back, it dont seem right being so close to 1st in the drivers leaderboard! It was a repeat of Laguna except I was playing you and Ronin was playing me. 2 seconds I lost by :(

Ronin- Just so you know, its Trial Mountain not Deep Forest, just in case you practise for the wrong track. Maybe I shouldnt have told you lol.
Peace.

Cant practice right now mate, I sent you a message anyway. Glad to see you joined GTP its a good site!

2004 they had TCS and automatic Gears (they programmed the Lap and the shifting spots like a Video Tape and the Driver just had to Throttle, Brake and Stear) and Launch-control.
It was the Time where the Technologie was on the peak-point and where the Teams fought with their Money.

Auto gears! I had no idea they ever had that. I am glad they dont have those things now, I know I use some of them but im not a driving genius like them.

Flood, what were you doing up at 5 in the morning, thats dedication for you. The lap time is not bad but you need to try and shave 2 seconds off with some practice. Ill follow you round sometime in the week and try to see where your losing time.
