Pushing car to limits! I found three places to spin. Consistent laps 103's. Fun track to race on! I still need more practice & tuning. Peace out

You will get alot better floody.
In practice my fastest was !;00.3xx?,Them me and runfast had a 15 lapper that was fun.Ill put a lap up 2moro.n8ite

Nice one flood, keep pushing and ill let you know when im online for a practice. Iv noticed the three corners where you spin and it helps to raise your car a little, iv not really tried a tune yet so thats all I can think of for now.
1.00 PB? How do you do it, just be sure to make the race with those kinda times. Its about time you had your first race win, always the bridesmaid and all that :)

unrelated, but:
my 93 has now been chipped :dopey:

320HP / 410lbft
muuuaahahahahahaha
time to go put some beemers and mercs in their places - SAAB FTW!

Wow man, thats some horses you have got under there m8, is it rear drive? or front?
Haha, go slaughter some german steel!

As I have been informed (by the wife) that I am not allowed to play GT5 this evening I started thinking about driver traits, strengths and weaknesses of the drivers in this championship. Then I started thinking, which F1 drivers are we most like in real life. I may be going mad with withdrawal symptoms for GT5 but I thought Id get the ball rolling with a few comparisons.

Nethereal- Sebastian Vettel- When he wins (which is most of the time) he does so by quite a margin and he is ALWAYS on pole position!

Rhyfelwr79- Jensen Button- Normally finishes well with the odd win, average in qualifying but drives smooth and easy on the tyres.

Pigboy- Lewis Hamilton- Very fast, and a little crazy, would do much better if he didnt bin it so often.

Sakery - Nico Rosberg- Talented driver, not the best qualifyer but surely will break into the top 5 soon.

Runfast- Mark Webber- Solid driver, quick in qualifying and VERY careful on the track, perhaps needs to take a few more risks with race speed.

Floodmeister - Paul di Resta- Good when the effort is put in but too many incidents to make a mark on the drivers championship. Young and occasionally can make daft decisions.

What do you think?

I like my comparison. I did a Session with runfast today and it was a complete success.
Without aids I only managed a 1:05.673 but during todays Session I learned using the SRF :D
1:01.569 was my best and I see 0.150 seconds per sector could go off if I manage to get all sector peak times in 1 Lap ;)
But PB s time is out of my league.

Sakery- I am so glad you are using SRF, you dont need to use it for your other cars but it just makes this championship much more fun and maybe you will turn into schumacher now your car is sticking to the track like all the old polyphonics did :)
PB- Im late for work lol, ill check it out later m8. You hit the 59's yet?

Hey berty I took some risks and found more speed m8 a 100.641 and after I spun! Lol. Looking forward to race. And maybe I can get another top 5 :)
Peace out!:)

Runfast- I am going to aim for your time when I get on in a few hours, gotta have a run and dinner first though. Maybe you would like to join me, I hope my previous post isnt making you try too hard (ref:the spin) :)

I don't think I blinked at all on that lap. Then I blinked and eyes got watery and spun out lol :( yes I will join you.
Peace out :)

Ill do another lap,that was rubbish.Ive noticed a bit of a pattern,PIGboy is uses HAMlin's car,now HAMilton......hh(a)mmmmmmm

Nice lap PB,if you didnt hit the wall at the tunnel and just before maybe it woulda been even quicker. I can do the odd 1.01 but mainly 02's. 03's.

Things are really going to hot up at the front PB, I have now been informed by half of the field that drivers are running virtually identical lap times and if you can keep it consistent there will be lots of us going for the top 3 spots. My concerns about the track aside, it should be a close one :)

Hey, just a reminder. The OCD has re stocked today so anyone who only has the one FGT should consider getting another so there are more options with the teams next season.
Avoid white, white/green, yellow FGTs as we currently have no team for those.
I have 6 FGTs currently and will always take the last team opening, the only one I really want now is the one with the lotus colours.

Just had an amazing practice, I dont think ill ever do it again but I hit a 59.xxx on TM followed by 5x 1.00.xxx laps. If I can do that in the race ill be onto something. Good stuff :)

just got around to practicing the mountain, and I got a couple laps in the upper 59's. This is one hairy track though, always on the edge with the fgt. just one question though, wont the race be kinda short at 45 laps? I think it will be under 50 mins.

Nice one ronin, its definately hairy when your doing those kind of times but with the traffic for the first 5 or so laps its going to be more a case of avoiding collisions and trying not to spin off. When you get some clean air it will be head down and the race will be decided by keeping the car on the trackm (and pit strat).
This will be a shorter race but due to real life commitments I couldnt change the laps until a few days into the race and by that time some people had done their pit strategies so this wouldnt have been fair. It will still be a good race and Ill do some early testing for the remaining courses to bring them into line with a +1 hour race.

Yesterday was a good Testing. Lead the Practice Race for 2 Laps (rhyf did bump me a bit at Turn 1-2 => at 310kph it´s a spin around move xD hope that doesn´t occure in Race ;))

And my pace was ok. I can´t get consistant 1:01´s maybe cause I´m using a DS3 ??
59´s and 1:00´s are way out of my reach :D *bows down*
And yes the Race is short but that´s ok because every Track is so fast with the FGT.

@berty: Well if you know how much laps you can do with one Fuel-load, changing strategy isn´t a problem.
And 45 or 55 Laps means no real change of Race-Time it will just stress our reactions more => just stay at 45Laps (I think 45 laps is hard enough and I would think all of you agree with me ;))

Sakery- I am sorry for bumping you, it felt like the smallest of contact. People have gotten a lot faster for this one and I am concerned that there will be more contact on this track (like deep forest).
This race should really have been a 50 lapper and I wouldnt mind changing it but when your the race organiser you can get flak for doing things like this 2 days before the race.
If you dont mind a race extension to 50 laps leave a message saying so and if there are enough people I will change it. If not it will stay at 45.
I have my fuel consumption sorted and could apply this to a 200 lap race if needs be :)

Note- By the time next season starts I will have tons of data from this season so I can make some practical changes to race distances etc. also it looks like TCS and driving line might be binned, but this will be voted on of course. There will be 2 or 3 new tracks too and I think maybe the same number may be dropped as unsuitable. The champion also has the right to drop a track and replace it too!

I agree with all that up there^^^..i did 2 59's,but they are mad.I just did a 45 lap practice,1 stop ,1:03-5's till the end.My spins were from the jump after turn 1 and the last corner esses, only locked the rears once in the last 23laps which is good, always learning, remembering advice....i will sook though,me hand hurt for the last 10,cant we shorten it to 10 laps..haha

Hey berty 50 laps ok with me.

@berty no problem due to the pratice race it was. And my hope is not that any body bumps but it shouldn´t happen to me xDD And at that speed a slight touch leads to major crash (I spun 5times after that contact xD and it was a very slight touch !)

45 or 50 laps there is no difference in racing time or effort.
I´m for the 45 Laps because I think this track is exhausting (Deep Forrest has some "resting" spots but TM tension all the Time)
