I take one or two laps of the Ring with every car I win or buy (except the old MBs). So far the slowest is the 2CV at 17:43.xxx I remember it slowing to 14 mph in the mountians around Klostertal...

you should try it fully upgraded, its awesome. Just be careful of liftoff. I think I managed under 9 minutes with it too

Wow, I wouldn't have expected it to be that fast.
I'm comparing it to my 17:30ish lap in the original Daihatsu Midget, which bottomed out at 18km/h on probably that same hill you're talking about. It seemed like I spent most of the race sloooowly decelerating.
I did a 27 minute lap with a Fiat 500L, but that was because I kept stopping to look at things.

Well ... 24 hours are 24 hours ( and 8 are 8 ) in every car you are racing the enduro.
But it would be very very worse in those races where you have to complete hundreds of laps.
Or would you be stopped after the winner has just crossed the finish line ? I don't think so.

Later this evening I'll take the Panda to race on the 'Ring : it will be a fun challenge.
And the Lap Times database of the site should be sorted by displacement , or by added modifications .
Otherwise , you'll agree that the first positions of every track would be always won by the same cars. What's the point of having hundreds of cars then ?

Thats pretty good, my funniest nurburgring time was 9:37 in a completly stock Ginetta G4, and 9:09 in lightly modded one (suspension, exhaust, stage 1 cam). The funny thing is, both these times are faster then my A licence qualifiying time in the Mercedes 2.5 evolution- Go figure.

A: The Ginetta's weight

Yeah I entered the Pace Car in a race a little while ago in the hope that noone would be able to pass me, but the AI didn't care

Slowest NBR lap I have managed so far was about 15 minutes in a '69 Stingray with 400ish BHP and very red rear tyres

Yeah true, I couldn't stand that pace car. Even so, if I didn't know the times for sure I could have sworn I was faster in the Mercedes. Thats why I was so surprised. I don't konw about trying to match your record in the panda, maybe i'll look for some other slow car (perhaps a 1970 celica).

Im not going to be smug though becuase i know there is still alot more time to be had! i think this could go down to about 10mins 50 seconds. I did think about having a go at it but my thumb was hurting from setting this time.

Maybe i will have another go later or tomorrow.

According to the screen photos pf the first post the Panda is running on S2 tyres! although these are default they are far from stock, they are equivavlent to a cut slick circuit racing tyre.....i imagine that the Pandas standard tyres would be more like an N1 maybe even an N2 but i doubt it very much 👍

Incidentally if any of you fancy some real racing around the ring follow the link in my sig, the NRS starts officially this Sunday 👍

and you´re right about that. i used to own two of this sweet little boxes and i loved every day of it.
the one thing it didn´t have though was grip....

I'd imagine it would be like my old shape '93 SEAT Ibiza, only narrower, more top heavy, less power and God forbid even more noisy (If thats even possible).

Actually I think SEAT did make a knockoff version of the Fiat Panda, but it was called the SEAT Malaga, not the Ibiza.

*edit* Actually, maybe it was the Marbella. Wasn't their minivan the Malaga? Hmmm now I've confused myself!

Your right it was the Malaga That was in the time that Seats were rebadged Fiats, and now they are VWs with their own bodyshells so bit better now 👍

EDIT - After seeing below post it was the Marbella i remember now, think the Malaga might have been some horrific saloon thing they did

I know about the Marbella, I was merely comparing it to my car how I'd expect it to drive. Still going down narrow alleys would be fun The Malaga was a saloon version of the old style Ibiza, although that too was really just a Fiat.

My SEAT has a 1.2 System Porsche engine, Fiat Strada chassis, the first 3 gears are VW and the last 2 are Porsche apparently...
