It seems there must be some kind of handicap system too, having just played a game with my 78 rated team against an 87 rated team, and I won 4-2. Despite the huge gulf in class of players, I had more shots (16-14), similar possession, and higher shot accuracy. Maybe he was just bad, but it was surprising having seen the team pre-match and being quite scared :lol:

Best team I've played so far in Division 1. Anyone come up against a team rated higher than 87?

I haven't yet. My team rating is 85, and I thought 85 was one of the highest you can get lol.
 
I find it ironic that my funny name team, comprised of mostly sexually named players, ended up with a final rating of 69. That'll provide some laughs with friends.

Paid 15,000 for a Happy Hour pack, got zilch. EA and everyone associated with it can jump in a hole.

This is true.

Just bought a happy hour pack and got Theo Walcott in it. Almost worth the $3 haha. I think he sells in the 9K range. I am not at my computer right now and can't check.

About 9-10k. Not a bad pack, actually. I just wish I could get in on the action, but it's been 17 days, and my trade pile is still stuck. Still tuning in for updates that have yet to come.

An update came out yesterday that "should" have fixed that.
 
Is Doncaster a good team? I just lost to them on Career mode with Newcastle United. They got 2 goals from 2 shots on target and I got 1 goal from 11 shots on target. Such horse ****.
 
I cannot believe how badly EA are treating me with packs. It's like they're asking me not to come back.
 
Has anybody noticed that after this update. You just can't run past defenders anymore. In fact. It seems like my super pacey forwards aren't even sprinting. EA needs to quit ****ing up. This game is just getting even more pathetic.
 
What "free daily gifts" are they giving out in the web app that I'm not getting?
 
I got a silver pack on the web app. Unfortunately, the problem is, that my UT is not necessarily 'connected' to my main account on EA's website. It's my second account I made for creation centre.

By the way, I pulled the most expensive non-IF bronze player, Karleigh Osborne, in a pack today. CB, 81 pace, 86 strength, 64 overall. Sold him for the best part of 28k, managed to make an all-gold 4-3-2-1 hybrid team with the money and still had 7.5k left over afterwards.

It's also worth noting that in a pack that cost 750 coins, selling him for 28000 meant I made a 37.33333 times profit. Nice. 👍

Got a mini silver pack, which translated to 162 coins. Yay :lol:. Will this be an everyday thing?

I wouldn't have thought so, it isn't like EA to dish out freebies.

Edit - I finally got a decent packet. I had 10k in the kitty, bought a premium gold pack, and it had a 442 card, Di Maria and Cleverly inside. A bit of a result!

:lol: I just dropped 4 goals on a guy in 20' in a Division 2 game, I did the dance celebration where it looks like a bunch of hillbillies stomping and Martin Tyler complimented my professionalism as he rage quitted.

EA can go jump in a hole full of spikes and light itself on fire. Someone who starts a season with 6 points after 2 games doesn't finish with 10. Screw you EA.

Sold Di Maria for 37k, bought another Premium Gold pack, and it had Dede and Elia in it, not as good but should be able to double my money on it. I have had total rubbish up to this point, so it's a refreshing change.
 
Maybe the tide will turn for me soon.

Would a 4-3-1-2 play similarly to a 4-4-2? I'm considering making a Bundesliga team in that formation so I'll stop buying packs :lol:.

Yeah, Bundesliga will be fun. Saving up for the likes of Ribery, Robben, Neuer and Schweinsteiger will make me stop buying packs.

Bought San Siro, Anfield, and Stamford Bridge for a combined 600. Just in case I wanted a switch from Wembley.

More pace up front in the Silver team than the Gold team :crazy:
92-89-90 compared to 88-91-83. Love playing with both, but it's time for a new team I think. BPL makes sense, given Yaya etc, but open to suggestions.
 
Maybe Ligue 1? I know there are some quick defenders, an elite keeper, and Ibrahimovic if you ever get enough coins. Robben, Ribery, and Schweinsteiger will take forever..
 
Serie A. Without position changes, the squad I currently have costs 25k and still manages to be incredible. And the Eredivisie is a massively underrated league too.

Maybe in future I might go for those league's, but I did realise I had five players already for the BPL, so thought I'd go with that. It'll take time, I don't make coins fast enough unfortunately.
