Fifa 13 *FUT Tips in OP!*

Love FIFA games. Buy them every year, and that's still liking PES.. I just have a thing for FIFA. I alternate between PS3 and X360 versions usually each year. This year I got it for PS3. Before the latest update, playing 99% UT it would lock up my system every now and again with a bit of server connection issues (thanks to EA's excellent servers of course lol). Ever since the latest update I've noticed real weird visual glitches in the menus, something like for a split second only, but the game now locks up my system once every 2-3 times I play UT. Haven't tried any other mode though. I've lost contract games on players because of this lock up which stinks btw... And the last really strange thing that happened was over the weekend where a non gaming menu bar remained in game play and then after locking up and rebooting, the next UT game I played (not online) had no menus during play, not triangle over the player you are, nothing. Game was really choppy and slow too and then whammo.. another lock up.

Are any of you experiencing this as well or is my PS3 on it's last legs? Original fat nonBC 40GB unit, already had it's BD drive replaced once in the past (free, was under warranty). I wonder if I should go out and buy a PS3 Slim if it's a system issue... FIFA13 is the only game that locks up like this btw. I had GT5 lock up maybe a total of 2-3 times in all the times I played that game.

I'm on Xbox and have had a similar issue to you where the substitution screen stayed on even after finishing the game and returning to the main menu. I had to reboot to resolve it.
 
Juyst sharing my opinion of the game, from what I've experienced from playing a freind's copy at his house. Frist touch is very exaggerated. Finesse shots have been watered down and/or are just not as effective as a normal shot is. Real Madrid is still the best team.

Looking forward to getting it. Been spending weeks trading of FUT web. Good solid trade profit, and around 6 squads already built. A Barclays squad(80), a Bundesliga squad(81), a German squad(81), A MLS squad(78), a USA squad(78), and a Bronze MLS squad(54 without a bench).

Here's a pic of my newest squad for around 15k. Haven't played with it yet but I think it will be awesome. It's sort of a Russian League/Serbian/Switz/Budnesliga/Serie A Hybrid. Get's 95 Chem without a manager.

Will have a Word Document as an attachment in a bit.

Just finished my first season with Chelsea. I'll give a quick synopsis I suppose.

Started off the season by purchasing Pato form Milan and a German CB from Munich. Heading into the mid season transfer window, Me (Chelsea), Man City, Man U were really close. Found a 17 year old LB that was a beast and got him for loan. Sold the CB because he wasn't that impressive. Accidentally Sold Cech. Purchased a young CB from Real Madrid. And purchased De Gea from Man U. Man U finished the season in 11th... and I figured out why. Rooney had to play Keeper as De Gea was the only one they had I guess. LOL. Won the League by 18 points over Man City with a total of 102 points. Didn't lose a single match but, had around 7 draws.

Pretty good first season I'd say. Going to make a bid for Miyaichi and El Shaawarwy* next season.

Would you be interested in trying it on a higher difficulty? I don't know which you do play it on, and I also know that Chelsea are likely to win the league this year but it seems like it was easy enough for you. A higher difficulty may make it even better. 👍

I presume United sold Lindergaard during the transfer window. They might get relegated if they don't buy a new keeper :dopey:

Also keep an eye out for young players with decent stats and no face in there bio. There FIFA generated players and often reach high 80's even low 90's by the time there 25. 👍

Yeah, I play on Professional. In 12 I used to get so pissed off when I played on Professional because I would play well but never get a win out of it. Now with FIFA 13, I can actually create attacks and it makes me really deadly.

As for players. I have 10 players on my Youth team that have crazy good potential. So, I do know about the young players.

Getting Pretty angry at the moment though. Trying to move onto Season two but... the game keeps freezing just before the transfer window opens. WTF is up with that? I'm starting to get tired of companies releasing half assed or games that they know are broken and "plan" to fix later with a stupid patch update. What about the people with no internet?

A no risk way of trying World Class would be to play in EAS Match Day. Sounds like its online but it's just a renamed Kick Off mode. And play a few games. But I'm sure you already know that. And with your starting season 2 problem. There has been glitches in the past where you would do very well and surpass objectives and get fired for "Great Results" or "Performing Well Against the Board Objective" so maybe they just messed up again. It is EA after all. *sigh*

I noticed that as well, saw a trade that I knew had gone through but never showed up, for El Ghanassy, who I bought for 10k and sold for 12.5k...and a ton of others I had forgotten about were there as well.

I thought you said a few days ago that you finally got your PS3 connected to the internet? Have you got the first patch yet? Or has something gone wrong there, or am I just thinking of someone else.. :dopey:

I noticed this too. Had about 40 contracts that I had sold, and only 200 coins. I thought I had been hacked again for a second.
 
I need to sell like 20 players from bum squads that I made as well..

No, you are thinking of someone else. I have had Internet on my PS3 every since I got it. I am one of these people that would probably die if I didn't have the internet ;D

Problem is still persisting. Kind of pathetic that this has apparently been a problem with this game before release. And, they still haven't done anything about it. That's EA and modern game companies for you.
 
That's mainlt just EA for you. I remember a while ago KSIOlajidebt uploaded video's about career mode onto YouTube. And as a manager he got fired for being good, and as a goalkeeper he got dropped for having nothing to do. I think this was FIFA 11 or 12. Both on Legendary. I wish EA implementeed a way where you could slow simulate the game and make sub's yourself based on match rating so you really were the manager rather then playing the game yourself. I think they did something similar in FIFA 11.

Anyway I've been considering making a budget squad builder thread for FUT, would anyone be interested? This would be my second Squad. I would perhaps have squads up every 2 - 4 days depending on how much credits I have as I find it very hard to get them.

EDIT: Okay it took me an hour, but that was because I had formatting issues that I couldn't fix and had to improvise and I added a little comment on the bottom.

I bought Jones for my EPL team. I have him, Mirallas, Scholes, and N'Zogbia. I'd like Gervinho and Giggs, but gotta start small.

good work matty 👍. might want to put that all prices were at the date of xx/xx/xx. Also mention that prices will vary from what you got yours at :p. otherwise someone might read it later this year, and end up buying subotic for 2,500 when they could get him for 1,200 :lol:
 
Just finished my first season in career. Playing as Newcastle. Finished 6th in the league, semis of the fa cup, quarters of the capital one cup and won the euro league. Ba top scorer in the league with 23 goals.

Great season! On FIFA 12 I did a Career mode with Newcastle United. The Defense is ok but the midfield and attack are crazy strong. Found myself never in the market for a ST. Then Ben Arfa is just a monster, and my favourite player.

Got my Career working again. Went back to a previous save and got rid of my bid for Miyaichi. Was able to pick up Ronaldo in the transfer window for a fee of 95 million Euros. Going to use him for 3 years as a LW when Hazard gets tired but more for a senior ST while Pato is still growing. Then sell Ronaldo for hopefully some decent money. Probably will move onto Jovetic or Balotelli as a future striker in the future. Hopefully will be switching to a 3-5-2 once I grab one of them.

Yeah Newcastles strike force is good, I did sell Cisse ahead of season 2 though, Bayern offered 25 million so I couldn't say no. Used the money to buy some good cheap talent, Gourcuff, Debuchy, Mertens and Jordan Rhodes all came in for less than £25million.

Dang. Nice list of players to get for under 25 Mill. I seem to have trouble getting players to sell or loan. I can't even get some good players to sell for cheap.
 
After a bit of Googling, I have discovered a work around for the FUT trade pile hang up. You will need to select an item already sold , then go to another part of the FUT web app, it then clears. Then go back into the trade pile, select another already sold item, go ton another part of the FUT web app, it then clears, repeat until bored.
 
I have Mertens in my Eredivisie team as a sub. However, I prefer to start Memphis Depay at LF in my 3-4-2-1 formation, even if he's only a 68. He's just a cool silver to use with plenty of pace, dribbling and 4*.

I just kept removing stuff on the console. After about 70 items it cleared.

I don't have the game as yet, so that won't help me. What he said didn't work either. It's been over a day now that this has been an issue. All this time stuck could have gotten me a Lewandowski and a Sesengon by now to wrap up my EPL and Bundesliga teams. :grumpy:
 
First Episode of my Series that I'm making on Youtube. Named it FUT Trolling With Packs. Because I never get anything good, I just say that EA are trolling me lol.
