Cheapest I've seen is Pique for 592k.

Sorry but I don't know why you guys drop real money on fifa points. You are telling EA it's a perfectly acceptable practice. I love this UT mode but their servers are crap and unstable. I just have fun and if I get frustrated pop in another game.

Yes wasted about 200k to get Mata and a lot of rubbish. Packs have been awful for me for a long time, maybe it'll change when the midfielders come out, whenever that is.

Actually it was more like 100k, I forgot I bought a player for my gtp account.:lol:

Needed a CB for my La Liga team, bought Pepe. What a load of old tosh, played 2 with him, lost 2.
 
The La Liga team is 352, so I have the minimum amount of defenders. I normally have Puyol, Mascherano and Pique as my first choice, with Albiol as a sub. But Albiol was suspended and Pique injured, I won't be going back to pepe in a hurry!

But presumably without them you'd concede even more goals than you would normally.

You have to find the right ones, but unfortunately, there aren't many of the right ones to find. I wouldn't settle for any less than 70 pace in any case with CBs - maybe even 75 when you reach D1. Unfortunately not many defenders are like this guy so you really have to be careful with who you pick usually. There are many cheap CBs touching or within the 80 pace mark. Ogbonna comes to mind.

There are in fact no less than 8 CBs under 2k who are within or touching the 80 pace mark.
 
David Luiz and Santana are my favourite pairing with Dede in reserve. Luckily they are Brazilian, so fit in perfect with my Brasil team.

Edit - The prices are starting to come down, just noticed a couple of Fabregas cards go for 15k, they were 20k + at the weekend. Also the amount of auctions is around 1.8 million, it initially was around a million.

No the midfielders are out now and the defenders are not in packs anymore.

They probably will be a point when they are all in packs, there was last year.

Scared to see Ronaldo and Messi prices. Ill gamble to say ~7 million will be a low BIN price on Messi.
 
Just wait until Messi and Ronaldo turn up then! You won't be far off with your estimate, I reckon initially 5 million, going down to 3 or 4.

I'm in need of monies again, really must start trying to trade properly, no reason I can't as I spend my working work within touching distance of the PS3!

My latest signing is Giovinco, Pedro hasn't quite cut it for me, so wanted to be able to rotate, Giovinco is doing very nicely.
 
Nearly time for me to buy some good players again.:) At weekend the prices should be nice, what with TOTY Messi and TOTY Ronaldo in packs.:sly: I'll probably waste another 200k on packs too probably get rubbish as usual.👎

I will give away another 50k after I get my team. If I get anything good in the packs, which isn't likely, then it'll be more.
 
I can't remember the last time I got a player rated higher than 77 in a pack. I'm tempted to spend a few coins on packs, but I know I will be disappointed if I do.

Yes if you have not got tons of coins don't do it. The only thing they have helped me with is my club value, I'm around 75-80th place on the leaderboards these days.
 
Got 240k at the moment, and that is mainly reserved for the market crash. I have the club value trophy so I am only focussed on players that'll improve my most used teams.
 
The attackers are out now, incase any of you didn't know. I'm starting to build my team now, chances are prices could go a little lower still but they are low enough now and I can't be bothered to wait anymore.
 
I need a CDM to pair up with Song in my 4-2-2-2 hybrid. Is Busquets any good?

EDIT: Actually.. I'm thinking of dropping Song and going with Busquets and some Spanish La Liga player in the CDM slots, but I'm leaning toward De Marcos or just dropping the La Liga players completely.

Khediera and Busquets are very good CDM's. I rotate them two with Alonso. Also have Song as a back up, not overly impressed with him though.
 
About to go on and try to make a good team with my newly deflated funds.

You guys said good Bundesliga teams are tough?
