Happy New Year everyone. I was MIA and partying a little too hard lol. Just now surfaced 21 hours later lol.

Anybody purchased one of the insanely overpriced 24 rare gold players packs? I'm really tempted...

Well, don't waste your money on that pack. Best player I got was Fernando Torres, doesn't even come close to covering the cost of the pack. Typical EA.

I had a look on Youtube for Jumbo rare pack openings, as you say, a load of rubbish!
 
I'm tempted to get one as it's not like I can't afford to lose the coins, the only problem is my coin total will be under 3 million again and I quite like it as it is. When TOTY is out I'm spending some on packs and players.

Too much, it used to be a lot easier in the days before the web app and the auto buyers. Although EA are finally trying to ban people who use them, the problem is they seem to be banning lots of people wrongly.:ouch:
 
Well I figured out that if your team is 4 and a half stars, it helps with the scripting. So I made the best 80 rated team I could and I actually competed in D1, even though I still got relegated but only one point away from safety. The team is:

Such a dirty team. Do you have to change shirts after a game because of the sweat? Lol. Just playing. Very hard team to come up against I suppose.

How do you like Felipe Santana? I am considering adding him for pace in the defense in my German League side team.
 
As I said, it's the only possible way to make a full impact in D1. You just have to go with a team that consists of constant pace.
 
Santana + Hummels is a great CB pairing. I bought a 100k pack too, lost quite a bit of coins, I have enough for a good team after TOTY though and still have lots of players. 3100+ players infact.:lol:

I bought Neymar to play up front along side ibrahomovic, with Menez on the bench. Also bought Pepe, Marcelo and Jesus Navas. Lavezzi has improved up to 87 overall, and Thiago Silva up to 88.
 
Only problem is now EA's darn system is pairing me with even worse teams that they can script to win. I mean who makes a deliberate system for the better players to lose, it makes absolutely no darn sense.

I mean I'm literally getting crushed by the dregs of the premier league solely because their ranking is lower and EA deliberately found these teams for me to play against.

Yeah I'm 1-0-3 in freaking Division 2. I hadn't lost a game in Division 2 before today. What have I done for Christ's sake...

I also bought Neymar. It's always good to have a striker who can score 90 goals a season.:lol:

In other news, Sahin finally left my club, so no more complaining from him, but FC Bayern offered 40mil for Sterling, then I jokingly upped them to 63mil and they accepted.:sick: Oh well, at least I now have justification for buying Hazard.:sly:

The match making does not go off rating so you've just been unlucky on who you've faced so far. I'm not quite sure how it works, it could be off your record if anyting at all.
 
Are the all attribute +10 cards worth the 1,000 coins you have to spend for one?

EDIT: Just realized the 4-4-2 Agger I just bought has 78 games worth of contracts on him.:lol:

No you get less coins than that when you win a match.:sly:
 
Well this is killing me. I need to know what in Pete's sake is going on and my UT is going to crap, I can't think of another reason than EA sucking up to the Christmas people, cause this has been going for over a week.

Found a guy online who made a good looking EPL team with 4.5 stars and 99 chemistry. I think Ill try that, because the 3-5-2 is conceding a lot.

Get a silver or bronze team to take a break from the rubbish for a bit. After having it for a bit it makes you play worse too, which obviously does not help.

I only just got out of division 2 for the first time a couple of weeks ago after everything kept going against me. I have not even tried division 1 yet.:scared:

Got rid of Maicon for an 8k loss, looks like Neymar will be closer to 18k loss if I'm lucky..

I honestly have no idea what to do. I've made my rating as close to 5 stars as I can get, made mt chemistry 99, put all crap bronze players in my bench, why can't I even come close to even competing

The teams rating means nothing in FIFA 13. The system tries to pair you up against players with similar W/L ratios. Doesn't matter what sort of team they have.
 
That's a bummer. Guess that plan blew up at me. School's about to start back so I'm gonna just let it be for a few days :lol:.

And that means there are some really good people with even records.. :scared:

I'm finding that pace isn't actually that hard to beat. Just get a German team, and they can't get past you because of strength.

When will all the players prices go down though? Is it after TOTY comes out?
 
Yeah I'm just gonna wait to play till the market drops so I don't lose anymore coins.
 
I've only lost once so far with my champ silvers and I'm one win away from div 2, this good run won't last much longer. Delfouneso is way overpowered but most pacey players are to be fair.;)

I even had someone quit on me when I went 1-0 up after about 20 minutes this morning, easiest points ever.:lol:
 
For those of you with eyes you'll notice the opening post has been edited. I've collected all FUT coin collecting/market trading tips and taken what I think are the best/still relevant.

Have a look through and tell me what you think, some of those may no longer be relevant, if people have a good source for formation card values and general non-player item values that'd be good. Hopefully we can make the opening post one very useful FUT money making collection.

The 404's aren't working on my side because the ellipses implemented into them get into the URL.

Also, Futhead is only truly good for buy now prices because the prices on the players there are somewhat inflated. ultimatedb.nl gives a better idea of what start prices players should be at.

How many teams to people have? I have a bronze team, a silver team, a Portsmouth team and 4 gold teams. These being a Russian (pace) team, a Brasil team, a La Liga team and a Premier League team.

My problem is the Premier league team (4-4-1-1) has cost a fortune to put together, but I just can't get on with it. My La Liga team, which plays 3-5-2 is a joy to use, as is the 4-4-2 Russian team, as is the 4-2-3-1 Brasil team. I'm tempted to sell the Premier League team and put the money to better use.

The links in the OP are not working for me as well.

I got everything out of the market worth anything and have around 250k. The day I see prices start rising again I'll buy some team and let value increase.

Right now I have a very cheap Serie A team, that Brazil team minus Neymar and Maicon, and my trusty old Bundesliga side.

Is it just me or are prices on the rise again?

Has anyone bought any packs with coins lately? I have bought a few over the Christmas/New Year peroid and they have been total crap. A mate bought Fifa, gave me the 2200 Fifa point voucher and after 16 7.5k packs with that, total garbage as well. EA do not give you any incentive to persevere with pack buying, its ridiculous.
