I really wonder why some of you play these games anymore...
I mean, if all that happens is "scripted" goals (called it) and other such nonsense, what keeps bringing you back...? Why would you willingly return to a game that, apparently, regularly causes you to want to break things?

Mainly because there is no other Football game on the market that is even remotely close to being as nice as FIFA. Mechanics wise.
 
Like just now. I'm one point away from staying up in this division, so EA needs to make sure I don't get too close to getting a free pack that I may spend real money on.

Thus, my defenders all picked up an imaginary bag of rocks before the game and have been outpaced by TOTTI for a hat trick. Thats why.

Made my USA team I've been planning for awhile. Its only been one game, but Eddie Johnson, Donovan, and Gatt have been my goalscorers. I didn't know Gatt had 4* skills.

IF Zusi would make my team look so sick.

Game 1: Take a 3-0 lead in the first half, play perfect defense and lose 4-0 on 4 corner headers.

Game 2: Take a 2-0 lead in the first half, play perfect defense and lose 3-2 on 3 corner headers.

That's why.

I have been testing a new bronze team today - specifically this one.

The defense has been solid, Trimmel is particularly impressive but as a more attacking force. The goalkeeper has not been the best though, and my playing style really does not suit the wingers. The same can be said for my current Eredivisie team actually...but all of the midfielders have been superb, and Magennis has been strong so far for me. Lazaro's dribbling skill has impressed me considerably, Landu Landu is superb defensively and Jack is a good playmaker.

Give bronze teams a try some time. You will be proud if you get the right one.

Yeah, bronze teams can be fun, but me personally have always been more interested in the gold teams. ;)

Speaking of which, my team is getting more and more complete now.

I don't really know what to save up for. Part of me really wants Eto'o because of how much I loved him last year, but I don't really know what to put with him since I could probably barely afford him alone.

Another prime example of EA making sure of a result beforehand. I'm up 4-0 in the 60', playing defensively and holding the ball. Whenever the ball got relatively close to Llorente, he turned into 150 pace, shoved me down, no foul, and scored 5 times to beat me. Even if I tried strategic passing, an opposing player would teleport in the passing lane and steal it. I'd rather just lose 7-0 than those lying, cheating twerps at EA tease me and then take it away. Its really not cool that a game can't just be fair.

Just got Aubameyang in a pack :).

I think I may sell my team with Cavani and make a cheap Bundesliga team.
 
Last night I picked up Lewandowski and Alaba in the "promo" gold packs. Sold them for a 104k coins total. =)

And with that amount of coins (and some more I had) I got Õzil and Kompany for my BPL team. And here.
 
No fair! Lewandowski is literally all I want to pair with Aubameyang but I'll be 20-30k short, let alone funding the rest of a team. So, that brings my total of packed players worth over 10k in FIFA history up to a monstrous 2 ;).

2-2 games where you have nice buildup goals and responsible defending against two headers is about the most frustrating thing I can imagine. I guess they had to pay me back somehow for mistakenly giving me something good in a pack!

Hmm, some tough decisions for this Bundesliga team. I can't afford Lewandowski, but I think I'll go with Beister so I don't look like the turd that uses Diouf or Ramos. I can't decide between Schrock or Perisic for LM.

Leave it to EA to make my first game with an expensive player that they gave me a 6-1 loss. Every time I set up a good run, their strikers grew extend-o legs and walked into the net while my defenders froze. Meanwhile, any time he hit L1 + triangle, even if it was with a center back, it sent everyone on the freaking team in on goal undefended. Thanks a lot, as always EA. Real treat.

Silver team it is. That's what I won with last year, its what's working this year (at least with 7 of 11 players being silver).

Upgraded my strikers today to Negredo and Soldado. The midfield is my next target, but I can't decide who to buy first.
Also it says on the right the squad rating is only 68 and 3 stars, whereas it's actually 4 and a half stars, and around 80 I think.
 
Your squad rating is down because you don't have a bench. I'd say try to get Xabi Alonso for Michel, and then something like Pique, Puyol, or Ramos in defense.
 
Lost 5 straight for no reason. Was gonna sell the silver team, but then I remembered it doesn't matter what players you have.

Got IF Howard to make the US team cooler.

And so ends my lovely day of FIFA. 1 point from 7 games, with a 4 or 5:1 ratio of headed goals to normal goals scored against me. And it was all capped off with a sublime 90th minute disconnect when I was actually winning. Hats off, EA, you continue to disgust me when I figured I had seen it all.

Try using a custom tactic with 30 pressure, 30 aggression and 100 width, makes it a bit harder for people to cross abuse and over use the lobbed through balls. You'll still get some stupid goals against but this seems to have cut them a bit for me.

Also press triangle at every corner and if the ball is near the net the gk will try to catch or clear it for you and if it's too far out he'll go back into the goal. The gk will still make an odd mistake but using him is better than using the defenders most of the time and you can still try to use a defender at the same time as well.
 
Anyone know how "Club Value" works in UT?

I mean, I got a pretty decent team now, and it worth 6,4 mill.
However, a friend of mine got a team worth 34,5 mill.

And it's, to be honest, not as good as my team. Skill, chemistry and everything speaking.

Players all have a value, rare golds the highest, normal bronzes the lowest, some other items also affect it too I think. Basically the more players you have the higher your club value.

Well, I got all my players rare gold, except 1 I think. He got lots of normal golds which are lower skill and about the same chemistry as I got. And his team is worth almost 6 times as much as mine? There has to be something else behind it.

It's not just calculated by the players in your current team. It's calculated by all players (And maybe other things) that you have in your club.

Sold the silvers for a small profit, they weren't very fun. Bought a Brazilian team, just because I had no idea they were so cheap. I got Costa, Pato, Bernard, Hernanes, Fernandinho, Maicon, and Marcelo, among others. I'm still waiting for Costa to be as good for me as he is against me. I still have 40k left, and don't know who to buy.

Yeah, same here. Though for me it's BF4 and DayZ Epoch on PC thats taking up my time.

I'm definitely gonna play some more Fifa soon, and with PS4 just around the corner, i'm gonna continue there.

You have to find the players that fit your play style. I dislike Benteke and Lukaku in this game because even though they're strong, tall, and fast, they have very little agility and poor dribbling. If you're going to cross a lot, use Costa. If you haven't already, I suggest trying Jovetic.

He's one of the best players I've used, on my GTP account I have him in a Liga BBVA team and without him it would suck. He has nearly a goal a game in nearly 50 matches and more than 10 assists. He can score every type of goal, try some shots from the edge of the area or even further out and cross to him sometimes too.

Sometimes everyone can play worse than bronzes though, that's just the game sadly.

Not even bothering, the market is such a mess and the autobuyers are out of control this year. I'm just playing matches to improve my teams and build new ones. EA need to give us the coin boosts back, how long does it take to fix a glitch?
 
Yeah, I bought all of the bonuses and I don't think they were all given to me.

Better session I just had. Scored a double hat trick in a single game with Eddie Johnson (with no headers, mind you) and two goals with Diego Costa in the next game. I think Thiago Silva may be my next pickup.

I need more USA informs. I can't really improve that team as of now. IF Johnson would probably be out of my price range, but Donovan, Dempsey or Jermaine Jones most likely would be reasonable.

However saving up for Ronaldo and/or Messi is gonna take forever.

Don't do it, they are not that good, well the cheap ones are not, don't know about the Iniesta, Xavi, Ronaldo, Messi, Di Maria class of player. Only players that have impressed me so far are Diego Costa, Adrian and Casemiro. That said my BPL team isn't that great at the moment but I can scrape wins with that easier.

If anyone wants an overpowered team then Serie A is the way to go and they are not even dear either.
