Well when it gets done your in for a whole new game.

Thats what people have been telling me, I just got my ps3 online (the internet connection required a wep key, which I forgot).

I still have to update about 10 other games from early versions.

Good luck on your long, perilous journey lad! I know you'll make it!

Seriously though, you will experience the rebirth of GT5. So many things have been added since 1.0 that made the game so much better. 👍

30% done

I can't wait, the first thing I will do is kill some seasonal events with my 500hp Lancer (Its my ferrari killer, if it is applicable for the races) if not I will see if one of my other cars is.

Make sure you give the Toyota 86 a go. Though a bit underpowered, the handling is excellent. One of my favorite cars in the game :)

CONGRATULATIONS! Seriously, I did the same a month ago. Let me tell you that it's going to be one hell of a wait, but it will be worth it.

Don't get your hopes to high when it reaches 100% bucause if you notice there is a 1/14 below the progress bar. Those 600mb are only the first update. the next one will be around 300mg, then the next couple will be less than 200mb, and by the time you reach the 10th update, that's the big one with a whopping 1.1gb. The rest are around 200mb as well.

I don't know what speed you have, but in my case, with only 1mbps (though a very solid connection) it took me around seven to eight hours to update everything. Probably you have like ten times that speed though.

I already knew about that, I am currently at 13/15 though :D approximately 90% done :D (I have a relatively quick connection).

Oh and don't forget to got to GT TV and download the new intro. Trust me, it is worth it. the new vid rocks and the light remix of 5oul on D!splay is really nice.

Man, it makes me feel excited because I went through the same. Though in my case I played v1.00 since release date up until last month.

Get the DLC as well. You won't regret it. I suggest that if you don't want to buy the whole pakage, get at least the two last car packs. Those are the good ones.

Man, you'll see how different this game is now. It will be like playing a new game. You'll find yourself grinding in the A-Spec seasonal at the Nurburgring GP instead of the old Indy offline race over and over for that Cr.600,000 prize, or testing the Toyota 86.

I don't have plans for the DLC at the moment, and I am downloading the new intro, I saw it on youtube at it looks pretty awesome.

My lancer got a chronic case of under-steer from the update, fixed now.

The recommended gear thing is a bit off, there are a number of turns that I can go through in fifth gear and stay on the racing line when the thing says 4th gear (and yes I have all the assists turned off other than ABS).

I only got online with my PS3 last few weeks.

Remember to log in every day to get a sort of Credit and XP mulitplier. after a few days it will double your income. Cash will be very easy to get, so just relax and enjoy the races. The cash will just flow and flow.

Any old track builder tracks will need to be edited if you want to let other people drive them... SO it says, I ha a dash to edit one but it totally altered the layout. The track builder hasn't really had alot added to it. Mt Aso only has short semi dangerous layouts now, only really good for basic slow road cars.

You can't cash in a ticket and reset your PS3 to have a second bite at getting a good car. BUT you can save your game to a flash drive and manually restore your game... this is a tedious thing but is useful if you need that rare car that is otherwise impossible to get.

have fun. lots of musuem cards to catch up with...

Thanks for the tip.

Does anyone else think of Enthusia when they use the tire load indicator?

GT5 is a totally different game going from 1.0 to 2.05.

I don't get the tyre load indicators... they just seemed to be going random- There was a red flashing light in the corner though... 'Xenomorph detected in car.'

I was expecteding the fronts to enlarge during heavy brakes or them to shrink when I put on a spoonful of Powah with a dab of Oppo... I don't think it could keep up. Prefer it with the green text scrolling down the side anyhow. --

As you will be tempted to buy cars I would suggest you work out your game date and place on the Used car master list...

This will give you a chance to see what cars are comming up, and plan ahead to pick up a rare car. (Vertigo/ 2J / 2D / Woodone Supra) - all too easy to have your head down and miss a car as you have racked up six online races or you were enjoying a seasonal event session.

The Seasonal Time trials don't advance the days.
Running Bspec remote races yourself will advance the game day clock.

Game day can be found just before you start GT5, triangle I think over the GT icon/disc should tell you game day, credits and current car.

I'm not a huge car collector, haven't been, even since GT1, I like sticking to a couple of cars and perfecting them and when they become too weak I move on to a new set. However I do want to get the sucker car just because it is awesome (I think its the 2J).

I've seriously no idea how you guys could have been playing this game all this time without online racing.

Whatever floats your boat, hats off to you.
