How long before someone says it "feels faster"? If that was true every time someone said it, by now firefox would be loading pages before you hit enter...

Oh dear... My PC didn't like that for some reason.

Any way to uninstall it? It says "uninstall log folder not found".

Could someone PM me instructions on what to do in the registry? I tried deleting the files in there, and nothing has happened. I don't want to experiment any further in there because it's not the place to mess around...

Edit: Nevermind. Problems seem to have gone away for the time being. Maybe there'll be an updated version soon that will allow me to uninstall normally.

It does that on Fasterfox. It is called "Prefetching".

On my connection it can increase it from 1mb to 29mb.

G.T man, don't install any alpha browsers, i stepped mine from 1.5.0.1 to a 1.5.rc1 and it went into an update loop, best to keep pace w/ the extensions.
Install a stable over (same folder) anything thats hanging.

What's wrong with installing stuff in the Alpha stage?

MR Tech Local Install is the extension you need if you're journeying out into developers releases, it cuts out the countdown timer and overrides the 'max version' of the xpi so you can install it on later releases than the extend was intended, all at the risk of breaking your browser though.

'Tis best to keep stable and have all your extensions in line w/ the release though. 'Specially if its your lifeline to the planetbrain.

ps Faterfox just hoovers up that lovely data!

What's wrong with installing stuff in the Alpha stage?

Alpha stage software is notoriously unstable. You're lucky to get software in Alpha stage to run for any extended amount of time without it crashing every few minutes.

Beta stage isn't much better, but at least it is usually more stable.
