Lots of nifty improvements and the new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine make browsing a little faster. Get it now.

Just downloaded it, I don't really see much of a difference but network here at work is pretty poor so that probably has something to do with it. I'll have to check it out once I get home.

Aero Fox (skin) and the Imageshack toolbar aren't compatible with 3.5, which is annoying :(

This is a full release and not a Beta or anything?

I'm suprised I didn't hear about it before!

Im going to run a speed test on it in a second. Dont think it will improve to much...

EDIT: I see a new tab button...

Unless your not utilizing 100+ tabs simultaniously open you won't see any real difference. It won't die at 800+ MB RAM consumption any more and also seems to be a bit more easy on RAM overall. But the normal everyday user won't notice any significan difference, imo.

Help for those who dare to test their old add-ons on the new fox:

Been using it for a couple of weeks. It's quick.

I have been holding off as there are compatibility issues with a few plugins I use. As you seem to be someone who has used it for a little while (as opposed to one or two days), what sort of real world speed increases do you notice in general, 2x 3x more?

I reckon it cuts down loading times by at least 30% from FF3, if not nearer 50%. Much quicker at loading things like PDFs, things that use Flash, etc.

It also seems to complete a page quicker, if that makes sense. So, if I go to open a page, once that page shows, it loads instantly, there's no delay for it to download some other data from that page.

FF3 did need an update as more flaws were creeping through with other browsers doing well (Chrome being quick, such an unfriendly interface imo).

I don't see too many new features. A little button to open a tab, but don't see point in it, Ctrl+T does the job. 3.5 is all about speed for me. I expect all the security I get with FF. Not too many interface changes - looking at their release notes - but quite a lot of background work, which is why it's so much quicker.

Fans of FF will get it and will be happy with it. I've not tested the other ones for a while (not going to be both with even trying IE8, it gets used - forced - for doing Windows Updates, I could load 10 tabs on FF3.5 in the time it takes to load that one page.

This is turning in to a review!

Despite the lack of new interface features (that I can see, might be missing) I don't feel it's missing anything, I don't say, "I wish it had that.".

To summarise: Get it. It's quick.

Wow that's a very positive summary my friend, I am definitely looking at upgrading (just when!) I was just a bit surprised at the speed figures Mozilla were claiming!

Those of you with geekier interests like myself may find these statistics from my hosting company's blog interesting. They volunteered bandwidth on their CDN network servers (the same servers which deliver our images, smilies, and avatars) to Mozilla for the 3.5 download rush.

I've been using FF3.5 for the past 2 weeks at work and haven't changed over from 3.0 at home for one simple reason - 3.5 won't let you close your last open tab.

Until now. thank you, Sanjay!

3.5.1 is out now. Fixes some security issues and stability issues. Also made it load faster, which is good because it took forever on my home computer to load.

Anyone get the problem where upgrading to 3.5 most of your bookmarks dissappear? I only have some really old ones now - it's really quite annoying since I had some useful stuff bookmarked...

Quick Question: What do you guys use to save your passwords and Forms in Firefox. The built in password saver won't show for GTP, Flickr or Facebook so I need something else that can do the business of logging me in all the time.

I just switched from Safari(Windows) to Firefox so forgive my noobishness.

EDIT: The Built in Password Saver shows up now I've messed with my History settings for some reason. No need for anything else now.
