I was kind of thinking of using a Game Shark to make a ram dump. Something what I do with my Apple IIgs, poke 56,3 and it dumps for me. Now, the PS2 is worlds ahead, but is there a poke to make it dump the ram? (On the screen, like and error message or a BSOD) Maybe have the dump trigured when you are looking at a any car by turning on the Game shark, so you could find the car code or something. You would have to do a lot of trial and error. Is there a dump function in the BIOS? Are there any memory maps anywhere?

Anyway, this is too much to do. Who needs GT4 hybrids that much?

do you have any info on how to make ram dumps of the ps2 memory?
that should be all you need to be able to start looking for the right addresses and values for different car parts. or are those part values stored in a different way than those in gt3?

I'm not sure. I could sure use a pinout for the port on the back of the PS2 though.

How GT3 stored these value? I have interest on how the money stored.
You can do ram dumps with emulator. I don't know if this can be used to the real hardware though.

pcsx2 works, with PAL disc it can display all the way to the race result.
there is also ps2dump.7z files

by the way would you know the answer to my question in this thread seeing that you use an emulator i've been thinking maybe you might know
