RUF Sports Class Testing

Here you go guys, results for sports class RUFs.
Struggled to settle into this car and track combo, so hopefully this won't drop the average lap times too much!
All cars tested for 10 laps using DS3 (d-pads to steer, x go, square stop). No aids except driving line and ABS 1.
Well done to all the tuners for making this car driveable in my hands.

Locks up under braking. Understeer and oversteer both present. Slow and steady will provide consistent lap times, but not overly quick ones.

Best Lap Time - 1:34:830

Nice car to get around this track. Solid under braking, good turn in. Some slight understeer mid corner and easy to get on the power apart from the slower corners.

@coryclifford
Best Lap Time - 1:33:410

Good solid tune when you can hit your lines consistently. Not very forgiving. Struggled to land the jump consistently.

Understeer and oversteer both present here. Good under braking but watch the throttle control out of the slower corners. Was carrying more weight than any of the others.

Similar to Cory's car but a bit more forgiving of my inconsistencies. Satable under braking, good turn in and rotation with a hint of understeer through the last section.

@Otaliema
Best Lap Time - 1:34:286

A solid tune that offered continual laptime improvement. Some understeer present and some issues getting on the power out of the slower corners. Easy to be consistent once you factor in the understeer.

Felt light and nimble. No understeer detected but has some slight oversteer. Easy to get the power down. Good turn in and rotation. Some lift off oversteer helped at the big circle. Great 1st submission. Bravo sir.

Also felt light and nimble, but has a misbehaving rear end. A little loose for me to set a really quick time in. Good effort though.

I remember withdrawing a week ago.
Right I'll get you taken out. Must have forgot to remove you from the list. Because I remember you saying you couldn't finish the car.

I'm glad you liked the car. It's doing what I wanted. Be consistant and solid. It's just not fast enough this time around.

Great testing Biffa. I have linked your review up and I am pleased to see that my times are not too far behind yours. Maybe I am not captain slow with these cars.

As it stands, this review is the last one of the testers I know about. Is anyone else testing this class (who hasn't told me) or would like to test this class of cars. If the answer is no, or I don't hear anything back by the tuning deadline for Supersport Class, I will call time on this testing and we will start working out the results ASAP.

Thank you very much on the review and glad you really liked it, it's my 2nd 10 score :embarrassed:

I will have the CTR2 ready by this weekend.

Problem has been sorted out on the scoring sheet. I left out one $ in one formula, the only reason it was spotted was because one tuner didn't turn in a tune so a row was blank. The master sheet has been fixed as well so no problems will arise in the future events.

The following is directed at all participants in this and future FITT events.

In regards to lap time and DC scores with only a few testers on board.
There is many factors and reasons the times and scores are not what you are expecting.
You tuned the car too much to your style or the tester and the tune just didn't get along. These are two most common reasons. They both happen, ask any just about FITT veteran and you will get the same answer, I've driven tunes that I just couldn't get right, I've submitted tunes that I over did and no one else could get it right. DC is a PERSONAL score we can't control the score in any way, unless it's obviously a deliberate high/low score to knock a tuner around the rankings, and even than our control is ask for a re-evaluation, or void the entire set of results from that tester. If you are having a problem with a tester please use PM with the Host(s). If you really want to make a difference, TEST we don't get nearly enough testers anymore, for I feel this reason, Few people are willing to put in 5+ hours of drive time only get to belittled in the thread.

So this is my bad, totally forgot about one class. Super Sport
The current deadline is tomorrow.
@787bcgr @lBt_33 @Antares26 @MrGrado @ugabugaz
How are you tunes. Does anyone need an extension on the deadline?
Sorry life has been a tad crazy, and this one slipped through. :odd:
If you are part of the group but not listed you have posted a tune đź‘Ť

Ready, will post it this evening :)

We need to bring a wider audience, some kind of "publicity" so that more people come. Ever since GTS was announced people say GT6 is dead but with a little imagination there's alot people can do.
I wouldn't say that GT6 is dead per se, but it appears from an outsider that the game play is declining. Take the seasonal events for instance, we were going to have more events less often. So far, we have less often but no additional races have been added to that section. I would like to think that GT6 has a long lifespan left but the fact it is on the PS3 platform would signify that as soon as GT Sport, and eventually GT 7 proper, come out, I can see the game being patched within a year for offline play only, like GT5 was. Time will tell what happens I guess. At least we have FITT and other monthly threads like CoTM to keep us entertained.

Yeah i think things are evolving to quickly, they don't let things settled in, every year its something new, and by the time I got enough money saved for something new it's outdated.

For example the VW golf. i remember the V gen and the VI it took a couple of years in between one another, now days it looks like everyday they release a new different golf... I don't know if im making sense but pretty much my daily life is given with car examples related stuff.

Tune looks good on first glance.
Linked up.

Ask a FITT veteran, testers don't come here to be belittled, etc

*sigh* I'd have preferred to hear that my tune was utter garbage. Honestly. At no point was I trying to belittle anyone, but I'm sure you've noticed I have a tendency to be just a bit abrasive with my wording. Politics are not my game. I'd explain again what my actual complaint was but it's completely worthless to do so as the entire thread will jump me again after misreading it again.

The FITT veteran thing was a good giggle though, seeing as I was around for not just the formation of FITT but also for the competitions that preceded it.

Alas, I'm completely out of place now, where one must be completely PC at all times and anything short of six apologies preceding and succeeding any criticism is read as attack mode. Oh well. I'm sure I'm not doing my scores any favors by opening my mouth either. :lol:

However, I'll gladly test when I have time. Will probably be close to the close of testing, but hey.

I went back and re-read yours posts. from what I read, your complaint was about the lap time difference between the fastest car and best dc score car, if thats not correct then I am completely missing the point of your posts after reading them ten times. Hot lap happen for us average drivers sometimes. we are not going to punish a tuner that happen to get it because it was out of normal. Out of normal slow, we will ask for a re-run.

I know your a vet of FITT been around long time. You understand what I was saying. The fast super good drivers moved on FITT with GT6. Average Joes is who tests now we have a couple of aliens. Most testers are not at the speed of most of the testers from GT5 era, almost every challenge someone gets a hot lap in for a hard to drive car thats a second or three faster than the rest. đź‘Ť

Your comments are PC, just maybe not clear 100% of the time.

Anyways back to the Challenge for the topic. If you want to continue the discussion send me a PM.
