I would like to keep the same specs, plus the downforce of course. We might end up with a full racing transmission, but we'll have to wait and see for sure.

i hella pumped for this SEASON 3... dont know if the time thing has been ironed out, but i get home @ 630pm....and online by 6:45pm (u know to kiss the wife,kick the dog....) on sundays...season 1 we started @ 8ish i thought....but im not trying to piss in the wind here.... I have a reason to start my PS3 again!!!

...And can i bumm a "Pontiac GTO 5.7 Coupe ’04" from someone (brosif) cuz i cant find one in the UCD and the one i had died with my othe PS3!!

Also, for those signing up for Season 3 that ran in season two, your car number will be assigned according to your finishing points position from Season 2. Those that are new can choose their car number as long as it doesn't conflict with an assigned number.

Can't we just make the prior year champion use el numero uno and everyone else can stick with whatever number they prefer? Seems kind of funny to hand out numbers to drivers other than the current champion. I know F1 does this but it is based on constructor's points, not driver's standings.


As for the rolling start topic, it's your series but I think it is an unnecessary hassle that consumes time while failing to offer any real benefit to the competition. It also adds another opportunity for mistakes and complaints. I would prefer standing starts with false start check.

That would be my preference also and even the No.1 plate would be 'optional' for the previous years champion. I'd like to reserve #36 if possible as that was my old racing number when I used to race IRL.
 
This sounds awesome, when is registration opening up for this R1600Turbo? I am actually building a 97 miata for NASA Southeast.

Track Schedule has been posted. We'll run every Sunday at to be determined times, between October 30th and November 27th. The World Championship race that pits the top 7 drivers from each division will be held at Laguna Seca and will be held the 4th of December.
 
Just my input on the time slots, the 9-10pm EST start time would work great for me that way it wouldn't interfere with the rest of the Nascar chase races and I'd have time to feed the family before I race.
 
Right now it's looking like we'll be using these time slots:

  • Division 1: 4pm EST / 1pm PST (9pm in UK)
  • Division 2: 10pm EST / 7pm PST
 
Looks like I would be in Division 2. :)
 
Well... I guess I've just been relegated to the early start :/
 
Yeah, sorry dude. Hard to please everyone but I think that specific schedule will work for the majority.
 
I'm down to join for Division 1 if at all possible. I'd like to reserve the number 21 if I could as well, that's my birthday and the number I use on all of my cars. (My goodness, that makes me sound like I'm 12)
 
Since there is a World Championship race, I'm assuming there is absolutely no difference between the divisions, right? Too bad the 1st race coincides with the Integra or else I would pick Division 1 instead of 2. Suits me better. You cant change mid season can you?
 
Like I already said, this doesn't start until after the Integras end.
 
The 1st race is on the 30th, same day of the finale of the Integras.

Oops, forgot about that last Integra race. I just didn't want to run too deep into December due to the holidays. People usually have crazy schedules around then.

I'd say if there's room in the other Division for the first race I'll allow one switch.

I agree. I'm kind of superstitious about having my #13. So much so, that there's actually two of us running #13 in the Capp series.
 
Okay, FYI, no one takes #4 because that's my number. :lol:
 
I'm in like always but only on races I can make. But #88 is reserved for me! I've had it since season one
 
I am very interested in Division 2. Would like to reserve the number 7. Typically, how long are the races?
 
They usually go from about 45 minutes to an hour.
 
well im in integras and i want to go into div 1 as the other is like 3am maybe 2am after we go back an hour.... so it means id miss round1 :( unless i was allowed to stay up and race in Div2 just for round1......?

Also PM me if you need a hand with the administration. When I ran my still-born Ferrari Challenge series I made a web interface for managing times and doing all the scoring for me. Been meaning to flesh it out some more, so I could work something up for this series which would hopefully streamline the overhead of managing the timing and scoring.
I'm going to make a management interface for sure, but it was really worth it for me, since it's all content driven. I just uploaded comma delimited text files with the times and all the photos for the gallery and the php code auto-magically makes the race page and updates the championship points table.

I like how people want to 'reserve' numbers like anyone is going to read through the thread looking for people's preferences before signing up on the 17th. :p

I'd really like to. We're going to limit the number of drivers in each room to 14 on track so that we can help minimize lag. I'll race in one of them, then just hang out in the lounge of the other to make sure everything is peachy. :)

I may need some people to host as I don't know how my connection will deal with hosting a room now. Although I could try hosting some practice races and see how that goes before we decide that someone else should do it.

I wouldn't ask them to do that. We'll probably just allow them to switch divisions for that one race.
 
Put me down as a possible reserve driver, early race only though since I work early on Monday's. I'll stay tuned for more details, really looking forward to the new Miata model. 👍
