Speaking of the tuning, I have heard that you can actually tune the car during the race even if tuning is prohibited on the lobby through the RA Menu. Is this true? It seems a bit unfair for those with a DS3. Looks like I might have to map the buttons and allow the RA menu

You can only change the brake settings and turn abs on and off, everyone can change their brake settings in the tuning menu with the tuning prohibited on.

Nepal. I would look into have a controller under 2 set up so you can access RA menu.

It can help tune a cars brakes as well a center diff AWD can be tuned here. Bias front to read.

Yes that is the case. I've tested it and you can set brake balance in the tuning menu and your car will still be valid.
The only advantage with the in-race menu is you can do fun things like tinker with your brake balance as tires wear (which I know I do if the rear starts to get loose).

have you touched settings that could have made you faster it sorta looks like your wheels are cambered more than stock maybe... (we are running tuning prohibted ofc) unless your just better than Aderrrm

Sorry if this posted but I did search the thread and the OP, I could have missed it though. I am registering for season 3, really looking forward to being able to race with everybody.
How long are the races? I saw that the season finale is 1h20mins. Is this more or less the length of other races? Just to plan my schedule for race days. I hope I can secure a spot on the grid!

Most races run about 45 minutes to an hour long.

I registered for the late Sunday night time, it works best for me. But if at all possible, I'd like to lobby for a weeknight date, for those of us that find it difficult to make weekend dates consistently. The Cappuccino Cup is in it's third season, has three dates per week, and the Tuesday night race is always the best attended, so weeknights can work. Just not Tuesday...lol.

Not possible for me actually. I don't get home until about 7pm PST, which by the time we got things running, the east coast guys would be looking at a 10:30-11pm start. And trying to run a race is not really on my list of things to do when I come home from a day at work.

I'm not sure there's a substantial online/offline difference anymore. I tried offline practice with tirewear/fuel depletion on and times I was turning were fairly similar. Of course that might be just me, scared to go faster.

Every time my back-end steps out during downhill braking into Bruxelles turn @Spa, I'm telling myself to try to adjust BB on the next lap. Then I forget

Down to 44.4 online at Spa, with still room for improvement. Only adjustment I made was raising the FFB from 5 to 8. hmmm.

EDIT: Heavily leaning towards switching to Div. 3 now. I like the 6:00 start, I like racing with Wardez and Nastra, and don't want to be put 10 laps down by Aderrrm and Moieman.

Question to the fast guys: Around what speed are you taking the first part of Pouhon at? That may be one of the places I'm losing time at (other than instinctively tapping the brakes through the third part of Les Combes when I only need to let off the gas slightly).

Err, just a quick question. How is the finale going to work? My idea of it at first was the fasted 8 in each division raced in the finale, and the champion would be determined there. But with 3 divisions, how is it going to work?

Here is how I do it. Requires a thumb drive aka geek stick.

Once you have the picture in your album on GT life. You go to it. Click the option and export to XMB.

Now with pic exported you quit game. Go to picture icon in the XMB. Find picture again option I think triangle. Send or save to thumb drive.

You are now ready to drop it on the PC.



Or load picture as favorite. Sign in to gran-turismo.com and log into your account. Pic is there you can right click and save.

You don't need a capture card or a phone. That's making it wayyyyyy too complicated.

You only need to transfer the picture from your PS3 to your computer with a USB stick.

If you use an ethernet cable and have a wired connection then you should have no problems.

When i host I always set it to recommended too, which is mostly always High, but that changes when you change the max number of participants.

Should is the operative word. I'll tweak some things today and hope people have less trouble getting into my room tonight.

I think I'm going to set it the room to standard every time from here on out since I'm guessing whoever host the races on Sunday will do the same.
