RT i tryed adding you to test your custom track but it said you have the maximum friends....

I have hit 2.38s on Free Run with Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption ON, grip REAL. The aliens will do 37s probably :scared:.

I really don't think free run mode with tire wear on is comparable to the online physics, which seem to be completely different. I can test this tonight as I ran a 39.5 after a couple laps in an online room last night. I bet I could hit 38's too in free run.

I'll have to delete some, but I won't be on for a while.

Yeah I tried to add you aswell for the track, I've had a wee go on it but pretty good 👍

and I think NEPALII was online in CSLACR's room when he done a 2'38 in free run. I'm Still doing 2'40 on spa but that race is like 5 weeks away so plenty of time to improve.

Thanks for replying. Yeah, I know that the car is to be run in 100% stock condition, so Biffy's time and the sub 2:40 times in spa are with the series regulations then. Again, I want to practice to be at least not 3 seconds away per lap. Do you know if the times are in an online lounge racing by himself, or during a race, or offline? I don't expect to be that fast, at least not for a long time, but I don't want to get discouraged by getting slower times if besides my lower skill, the game mode adds even more time to the lap. Thanks 👍

We did some racing last night on spa and yes those are certainly to spec. With unbroken 207-209 hp cars we were doing 2:37.4 in the draft and low 2:39's out in front.

I can give you our 10lap race replay if it would help you.

btw, his car is fully run in.

Certainly the replay would be great as a tool for learning and improving! Not only for me, but maybe for other fellow racers. Thanks.

Buddy, hope this is ok...

Thanks!

I'm still trying to find a black paint that I like. This may be awhile... I'll probably have a picture up by tomorrow morning.

Damage - Welsh
I see that now, I circled the car and it looked good last night, I'll try to get a good shot before the first corner now, as I originally thought it had damage last night, but then circling the car it looked ok.:dunce:

Shame to lose the sunlight view, but I'll see what I can get off the start, surely something use-able.

Have you tried...black?

CSL, just run a race by yourself. That is what I did.

No, but that's a good idea! Seriously though, I'm speaking of the paint chip here. ;)

If you could share that with me as well I would REALLY appreciate it! I have zero experience with Spa. Seeing what kinds of lines people like to take would really improve the productivity of my practice there. If I can be within two seconds of the front runners I will be very happy.

The metallic black from the Nissan 370Z is really nice. ;)

I've found that staying in 3rd gear for the off camber downhill right hand turn works better for me. I hear most people downshifting for it, but then they have to upshift right away when exiting. And I also use most of the curbing when available. Just makes the corner that much larger to carry more speed.

How about that opal black from the GTR R35 V-Spec?

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep it in mind when I get to practicing Spa. I'll be focusing on Trail Mountain though until we finish it. I'm so not good at this track. I can't recall discussion regarding the yellow painted hatched areas. Are those track?

I would but it's Welsh-bain's car I'm after a pic of.
In a twist of irony I only bothered saving one replay, and he got damage on the first corner it seems. I should be able to get one off the start though.

Black, Schwarz, Nero, Viper Black, all good choices for true blacks. 👍
English, German, Italian, American.

If it's a paved surface, it's track.

There is a thread stating that 2.01 has messed up the slipstream making it go back to the way it was before 2.00 even on weak setting. I can confirm this, based on the races I had yesterday with CSL, Owens, Reevos, and others. We were too close to each other which i found a little weird, but was so tired to even mention it. Now, it seems that other people are experiencing it. Can you guys confirm this as well?

Driver graphics for OwensRacing, Dr_Watson, KOS79 and SpyHunter have just been posted.

Going to need to come up with some rules for racing at Spa for sure.

Running wide on the run-off in Pouhon and Blanchimont should come with a penalty. I tend to be a bit draconian on the things so I'd say that if a driver goes beyond the kerbing they're required to lift and let cars through that stayed on track.

The whole time we were playing last night I was going to ask if the draft was on "strong" because it really felt that way.
When owens and I had to catch back up to you and CSL because you'd caught his draft and we hadn't yet... I did some figuring and the draft kicked in at a 1.6s gap.

I will when the time comes. My previous comment was in reference to Trial Mountain.

Yes Nepal, I can ABSOLUTELY confirm this. I did a few runs last night where we observed it, before I ever even read about it (the first time I heard about it was your post right here.)

The draft is definitely broken again. It will suck really bad if they don't fix it. Can you link me/everyone here to the thread? Let's all post in it and try to get another update released really quickly so we can have a proper "weak" draft and setting and let the drivers battle on merit instead of tractor beams :)

I was more of a zombie yesterday, I was tired so I didnt even bother writing about this. But yeah, its sad that this is happening. PD must have messed something up on the patch that made the slipstream back to the way it was. As long as they fix it soon, I wont complain.

:nervous::nervous::nervous: WHY PD WHY?!!

Sorry for double post.

wonder if that means the "strong" draft is even stronger now.
imagine the cartoon comedy of using RS tires with a strong draft and boost.

I agree...I have had this problem already in my room. Why can't PD just get the penalty system right, or find a way to punish cutters? I know we are going to run penalties off, but even with penalties on, you can still run wide at Blanchimont and Pouhon without penalty!!! At least they got Eau Rouge right. Without penalty or some sort of consequences, all of these corners became far easier and much lower risk = bad for the fun and challenge factor. I would love to be able to adjust settings in the lobby to add a "sand trap" effect for running wide, where you get slowed down a lot (a real consequence that is detrimental to lap time, but without a 5 or 10 second penalty.)

:scared: Geez it will be like Mario Kart... All we need now are some traps: Bananas, Bombs, etc... :)

If you go too wide in the Pouhon, you are already beeing punished by yourself. Thats not the optimal line.

In the Blanchimont, with this draft, i can see a lot of accidents happening if players arent allowed to go there.

Basic rules for real circuits is that drivers have to keep 2 wheels within the white lines that mark the track boundary at all times.

Edit: In post #2 where the driver graphics are, I have entered and highlighted in RED the number of racing spots that are available in each Division. I'm going to make these first come, first served to people who can commit 100% to the series. PM me if you are interested.
