If you go too wide in the Pouhon, you are already beeing punished by yourself. Thats not the optimal line.

In the Blanchimont, with this draft, i can see a lot of accidents happening if players arent allowed to go there.

I disagree. It's not the optimum line if you have an appropriate entry speed into Pouhon and you will lose time. But if you're running wide its because you're carrying too much speed into the corner. The extra 10mph easily makes up for the extra distance of going out onto the run-off.
In any car, I've never gained time on someone who put their foot down and ran wide by staying on track.

Yes Nepal, I can ABSOLUTELY confirm this. I did a few runs last night where we observed it, before I ever even read about it (the first time I heard about it was your post right here.)

The draft is definitely broken again. It will suck really bad if they don't fix it. Can you link me/everyone here to the thread? Let's all post in it and try to get another update released really quickly so we can have a proper "weak" draft and setting and let the drivers battle on merit instead of tractor beams :)

With the old draft physics, once someone is on your bumper it is very difficult to pull away from them, as everyone knows all too well.

Thanks, posted in the thread (and correct the OP's butchering of the spelling of "Drafting")...he spelled it "Draughting"....WTF??!??! hahaha

Draughting is the correct spelling in British English...
 
i actualy believe for Pouhon atleast you lose time ive been in races on someones bumper into the corner then ran wide by mistake and id normally lose 2-3 car lengths (this was in Pure and in the Mx5 Tc). but blanchimont is punishable unless draft causes it to be side by side then itshould be albe to use to avod contact aslong and the driver that runs off backs off and stays behind... thats my opions and facts from my experinces!

Quick story for you guys, on my lunch I was heading out to my car to go get something to eat, and sitting in the parking lot was a Patrick Dempsey RX-8 racecar. Maybe for the Grand Am series? It had been unloaded from a transport trailer so that they could load a couple of our shop cars on it that are headed to SEMA. I took a quick peak around inside, it's pretty cool. Wish I could drive it. :(

Wait a minute... I just looked at the drivers and I saw that D2 says there's only 1 spot left. I'm in D2 but... does this mean if someone else wanting to be in D2 and had a picture they would be placed in it instead of me? I can't get a picture anytime soon. :nervous: Plus I'm quite confused.

But you do need a picture, so the best way to get one is to show up to a practice room and run a short race so that the replay can be saved and a photo can be taken from it.

Yeah made me wonder if the car actually came from us because we're currently working on a 3-Rotor RX-8 and I thought this car was the finished product. :lol:

(as you can tell, I don't go into the shop much. Or, at all.)

lapierre4 is in...my god, that guy is an alien! NEPALII is also a monster. There are some seriously fast people in that room right now! Just watching them race is a blast :)
 
I swear I'm driving a different car from everyone else. While I'm waiting for the understeer to give me my steering back, everyone's right on my ass in the middle of the corner ready to power out. So frustrating.
