So because of my time availabilty being a family man with a 2 1/2 year old, I am racing at 10 pm with most of the fast guys? Awesome!

My personal goals for the series:
1.) Don't cause any wrecks.
2.) Complete all of the races.
3.) Shoot for being the most improved driver in the series.

Edit: Didn't see Wardz in group 3. Plus, didn't mean to call anyone slow for being in either of the other two groups - overlooked because I haven't raced with you yet.

I'm not very fast but I am reliable ...would expect to make all races. Am teamed up with Grayfox in another series ...sure he will vouch for me... in both respects! Will try & do picture shortly.

The only reason to get Fanatec over Logitech, imo, are the Clubsport pedals and xbox support. I don't have an xbox, and I'm not about to sped an extra 100+ dollars for Clubsports, as great as what they apparently are.

Also, I don't trust Fanatec's customer service and shipping length, based on what I've heard. Because of all of that, Fanatec wasn't even in the equation for me. It was basically G27 vs. T500.

My Fanatec doesn't have xbox support. That's a wasted $100 add-on for MS licensing and wireless. Was $345 shipped with club-sport pedals. So when I got mine last year it was actually cheaper than the G27.
Now, the Fanatec does have much better pedals. You're right there. It also has better FFB, and the crown jewel is that I can tinker with my wheel setup ON THE WHEEL as well as in the game. The firmware even supports profiles so I push two buttons on my wheel and it moves it from the 900 degree rotation with strong feedback and 1 degree deadzone I use for normal driving, to a profile set to 360 degree rotation with weak FFB and big deadzone for rally, then switch to another profile to put it into 200 degree heavy FFB zero deadzone Formula1 setup. I can even tinker with when the club-sport brake pedal kicks in its haptic feedback for ABS simulation.
It's even dreamier on the PC where more features are directly supported, like rim-rumble for engine over-rev or kerb crashing.

As far as support goes.
I've gone through horrific support from Logitech on my DFP. Which consisted of much corporate call-center run-around compounded by massive delays, shipping costs, etc... to get RMAs processed.

I've gone through excellent support from Fanatec just recently as my shifter switches started to give up. It consisted of
Me: "hey my switches started dying, can you send me a replacement?"
F: "send me a short video of the issue and your order info"
Me: "here you go"
F: "dude, yeah those are on their way out... here's a new PCB and instructions to put it in... or would you like to deal with a b.s. hassle from an RMA?"
Me: "gimme the parts bro I love you"
F: "hey I'm a local guy call me at this number to confirm what you need"

F: "yeah bro sometimes zie germans are kinda confusing to us Canadian parts guys... just wanted to make sure I send you what you need."
Me: "yeah I need a new PCB for the GT3 RS V2"
F: "oh yah, i'll hook you up that's no big... you want some more free stuff too? I have lots of extra bits i'll toss in there for you eh?"
Me: "cool bro"
tracking number shows up the next morning in my inbox

I haven't had support this good since I had an Act-Labs Force RS wheel which was a nice boutique shop in BC that eventually had to shutter due to Canadian dollar issues and Logitech becoming a 900lb gorilla.

sweet, parts came today coincidentally.
Easy step-by-step instructions with pictures... ~1 hour no hassle fix. 👍
+ now I have a box full of extra parts and my wheel was never out of my possession or out of commission.

Quick note to everyone: I may not make the first race as there's a possibility I will be moving at the end of the week. We may not have internet service set up at the new place until next week, so this is a heads up that Division 2 may need a host for the first race.

Ah, that's a bummer man, I don't know what everyone else's thoughts are, but I would be willing to push the division 3 race back until you get your internet working. Just wouldn't seem right with you not in the first race.

I've also been wanting that, but I'd assumed with all the asking by Turbo people would have their pictures up faster then this.
It's surely not that difficult to get into some kind of practice room, or take a picture, is it? (By my count missing at least 10 pics)

Anyways I just want to see who all's in this and where they're racing, just curiosity that's been getting to me over the past 2 weeks. :D

I can get that list for you tonight. I'm pretty sure Spyhunter was going to host, but if he's willing to give it up...

Also, been talking to my old boss at FM lately about racing simulators. He picked up a G27 today and is still deciding which way to go, GT5 or iRacing. He knows the pros/cons of each, but it's nice to see him getting into it. FM will also be providing some goodies for the championship winner. :D:tup:
 
I've got pictures of the TC in black, white, silver, orange, yellow, red, blue, green, purple, and brown just in case we need last minute shop stock jobs for the lazy blokes.

It takes about 15 minutes to do and the picture can be taken from any replay (online, offline, A-spec, B-spec, practice, and so on) with the car in it. There isn't much of an excuse for not getting it done.

It's pretty exciting that Div 1 and 2 are full again and Div 3 is getting there. Looks like adding a third division worked out after all.

So how are everyone's lap times on GP/F? :D I've managed a 2:22.767 as my best lap. I'm averaging high 2:22s and low 2:23s. :sly: Though... I feel you guys are just going to break out of the 20s overall. Right? :nervous:

You need some lead and follow ED, there's no reasonable way you should be close to ten seconds off pace. We're all willing to help, just jump in a room :) It'll be like the Top Gear show where Jackie Steward shaved a bunch of time off James May's fastest lap around a track in a TVR.

I'd expect you should at least be able to hit a 2:17 or a bit lower with some effort and time. Go for it!

As Wardez said, something's wrong there, I'd double check your specs too. (SS tires?, oil change, broken in)
In any case joining a practice room and following someone around the track will surely help out.
 
How the 🤬 am I 10 seconds off?! I was kind of proud of my times too. I set all the needed things like Grip Reduction on Real and all things in that category. I was using Sports Soft. I wonder...

My cars specs are 197HP / 975KG. Is everything ok in that department? Oh yeah and... oil change = no. Break in? No. Can that really take that many seconds away from me?
