Compare it to games like FM/GT and tell me which game offers more as a package. iRacing has superior realism. In the physics department and track accuracy. It's already behind in graphics. From there on out, you can list lots of stuff in favour of FM and GT that iRacing just doesn't bother to do.

Different games for different audiences.

Being elitist about the physics doesn't change that fact that a lot of people seem to enjoy their photo modes and single player career events and playing a relatively complete game out of the box.

Depending on where you go. GT5 could definitely beat out Forza on graphics. Forza's car models just don't look as... sharp (?) as GT5's.

Comes close enough for me besides tracklist and gameplay wise we all know which one gonna have the upperhand. Screentearing is a bitch and frameratedrops are far too ferquent in Gt5. Too me that kills immersion. Btw the ring does look good in gt5.

Every time he says something it will be connected to GT bashing in one or other way.
Seems here are 5 or 6 forza fanb...em fans,who constantly here 24/7 with they "facts",and as forza release comes closer they become more aggressive with they funny posts..seems like somebody was right few pages back saying they might work for M$ or Turn Wrong LOL
Official forza forum look way more civilized than this so called forza forum.At least there is no different shrifts and funny pics,like certain forza lover like it here (it must be cool thing to post those things....yeah,feel the powwwwer)
And yes,im playing forza - tbh played all of them,like GT,just some forza lovers to arrogant with they "facts" and sound funny sometimes

You do not know me, what sims I play (obviously must have read past my signature), or what my beliefs are on the sims I play.

You do realize that stating someone is a troll is just as much if not more trollish than anything else.

Quite frankly, I could care less about your opinion considering you failed to produce one coherent sentence within your entire post.

Cars look like plastic in that first pic to me. frameratedrops are so lame. And i'll agree that GT5 does have it.

@luminis - NFS has it's pluses. Like the sounds in Shift 2 Unleashed are bang on. I wish every game sounded like Shift 2.

I see just as many GT as Forza enthusiasts - those that "prefer" one series over the other. What is funny is each sees the "other" as fanboys with their "opinions".

You can say Forza is behind because it lacks day and night transition and weather but the same can be said about GT5 lacking graphics on 80% of their cars along with the lack of customization on the cars.

I don't think anyone is defending GT5 on the things it lacks, but at this point people who keep pointing at those things sounds like broken records.

Don't get me wrong because you have the right to visit any forum and post your opinions but what I don't understand is why someone without an Xbox is visiting a Forza forum and is surprised on the pro-Forza comments.
The GT forums are the reverse - Forza bashers. It's all fine as it's just opinions.
 
The car looks awesome in those GT5 shots, and the trees are good. However the bland grass textures and slightly odd looking 'canned texture' armcos ruin the pictures for me.

Guys FM4 is nearing release and some great info is coming out. This is bound to bring the haters in full force looking for a reason to justify playing a game they know in their hearts "failed" this time around by berating one that looks like it's headed to the next level. Brace for it because it'll be full tilt till about a month after release. The only thing that will slow it down will be the fact that while we're playing we wont have much time to come to the forums and debate a FM vs GT thread. We'll likely be in other threads where we'll have a hate free environment. So hold tight fellas.

There's alot of butthurt going on with all the goodness thats flooding us with FM4 so don't sweat the posts from people who should be enjoying their game right now instead of hating on Forza. Maybe something good will happen and GT5 will finally finish being "released" when Forza 4 hits.

The Supra in that shot has an aftermarket bumper with a built-in intercooler that was also in FM3 which could be painted in FM3 as well. I had mine painted chrome on my FNF replica.

Makes you wonder what kinds of picture will be floating around once a few of the photo mode veterans are getting their hands on FM4. The dicrepancy between good looking FM4 images and not so good looking ones is already visible, in my opinion.

We'll at least be able to compare GT5's finest with Forza 4's finest. Not, you know, GT5'S finest with FM4's "what happens to be available".

Gotta agree, though, the 908 looked better in the GT5 shot.

I doubt it. There just isn't as much to criticize. Yes FM4 doesn't have things that GT5 has(rally, karts, weather, etc) but everything that FM4 does have is done in top notch quality. The same cannot be said for GT5 imo. GT5's graphic on premium cars are still just a touch better but the gap is extremely narrow compared to what it was with FM3.

Graphics are really close now. You can't say it's not with a straight face. Physics? I'm sorry but I didn't know you played FM4 already. From what I have heard though the physics are much improved (so that should be really close now too). Feel counts as physics if you ask me.

So, if thats the only things that can be criticized then I think FM4 is in pretty good shape because none of that is as bad as the standard cars or huge frame-rate drops and pixelation.
