Yeah exactly, the Real Driving Simulator... not necessarily racing. Sure, in the end that's what we're all here to do--gotta get those gold trophies. But that doesn't mean we don't also want a wide variety of vehicles to test drive in the simulator as well, whether it's just doing donuts in a Crown Vic or thrashing a little runabout like a Mazda Protege around our favorite track as fast as we can. So yeah, some may argue vehicles like the Nissan Leaf and Ram 1500 have no business in a game like GT, but I say the more variety the better. Especially cars that were significant in history for one reason or another, and I think the Crown fits that mold.
That being said, I'd prefer the most basic, stock, factory example of a given car to see what it could do straight from the manufacturer, so I'd still say I'd rather a "civilian" example than a police unit with some random city's police livery, then we could mod it as we see fit. The black steel rims would be cool to have as an option in GT Auto.

It's just disappointing that important things get left out every time, when silly things somehow find their way in. It would be nice if they took care of the racing parts first before wandering off in the woods. Cop cars on a race course is about as far out in the woods as I don't want to go. Things that are more entertainment oriented set a precedent that's hard to shake later on. Continuity is important in any game. Back when it was primarily a racing game, no one complained about all of the racing that was required like many do now.

Why does everyone keep calling it a cop car? Yes I know the first post has police cars, but it was a trim/model of the CV. All the police stuff is aftermarket.

Because the OP said "Crown Victoria Police Interceptor" and all the pics have lights on them. I can remember when police interceptor meant you got a bigger carburetor or bigger cylinder heads, things that already seem to be in the game. I'd have no problem with just adding a Crown Vic. That seems fair enough all things being considered.

So long as Sheriff Roscoe to show up in my review in my time trial around Daytona.

Well really what would be great is to add both to satisfy both parties. We understand the interceptor was a factory option from Ford, but yeah we're just saying "police" vs "civilian" to differentiate the two... What my point was, is I tend to prefer the cars that anyone could go out and buy, so the CV. If I want it to be slightly more powerful and whatnot, then I'll mod it myself. However if you're saying anyone could get one that was like a PI level trim, with the steel wheels and normal paint jobs, I'd be ok with that. I was just under the impression Ford only made them to fill orders from police departments, so the only way to get one would be to buy a used, decommissioned police car or something, idk. Honestly though I don't see either versions making it, at least not in GT6 :/

We already have 2 police cars, A Skyline and a M4.
