Well that's what happens when every car is shaped like a wedge with a cabin nowadays.
Good point. Who the hell started this trend anyway. It's like the next step is simply not having a rear window.Well that's what happens when every car is shaped like a wedge with a cabin nowadays.![]()
4.6 that only has 315 HP.. Com'n it's a sports car. 4.6 should at least have 400!!! HP!!!!!!!

You're exactly correct. Ford loved the Bullitt so much that it used those engine/drivetrain parts for the new base V8. And if you recall, the Bullitt is faster than the R/T, which is what these Mustangs should be fighting against. It's just a hair slower than an SRT-8I think they're just giving us the Ford Racing tuned version that they've been shoving in the Shelby GT, Bullitt, etc for the past few years. Not much of a big deal, more power is more power, but it needs at least an extra 50 BHP to seem relevant against the SS and SRT-8 competition.
While I'm thinking of it, Highland Green (or something similar) better be a paint option this time. No more "mint" green. I will not have it!
There will be no Hurricane V8 in the picture unless Ford changes their minds. So far it's looking like a 5.0 will be an *option* on GT's.I'm not a fan of the 4.6L, never really have been. There is supposed to be a 400-ish BHP 5.0L somewhere on the horizon, but I have no idea when its coming down the pipe. The big question is how Ford will apply their EcoBoost program on the car. Rumors say that it'll get a 2.4L 300 BHP Turbocharged I4, possibly a Turbocharged 3.5L V6 good for nearly 400 BHP... But where the V8 fits in, that is still undecided. Especially if they're even going to apply the Hurricanne V8 or not, which last I heard, was a "no."
Is the new V6 from the edge or mazda 6 available for 2009?
all that time to work on a 4.6L and they give us 15 extra horsepower.
I completely missed the debut.I'd vote "very, very, very good-looking" on this update. I definitely agree with Keef on this, they've done a better job of capturing the feeling of some of the vintage Mustangs with it.
Thought: I love this color blue!
So it only picks up 15 BHP and 25 lb-ft, but thats enough to keep things interesting with a 400+ lb advantage to the Camaro. I do hope they bring out an EcoBoost I4 option, because IMO, that'd be the way to go.
Perhaps it's already been said, but do we expect ford to still be around in 2010 to sell the 2010 Mustang?

Sure, but perhaps not with the current ownership.
I'll still like a Camaro even if it's a Dongfeng Chevy.

I mention it because I'm trying to decide whether or not I need to be prepared to buy a C6 before GM goes under. If this is my last chance to get a new 'vette, I might have to move heaven and earth to make it happen.

LRA? Still??
DOH!!!
Oh, man, they dropped the ball...again.
LRA? And the car looks like ass?
What a winner.
I guess they think Mustang buyers don't have a lot of automotive knowledge.
