It doesn't surprise me what Robin said above could have happened.
Let's face the facts. GT has never really given European and American cars a big advantage in numbers against the numbers of Japanese game. And it seem in GT1, though, they were almost equal with the Euros and Americans put together. However, after GT2, I feel the jump on European cars to Japanese cars grew extremely well.
IMO, I think the number of European cars to Japanese cars resulted in a bigger number of Europeans. I mean, there were 4 citys. 1 for some Japanese, 1 for America, 1 for most of the well known European manu. for us Americans, and then 1 for the European Manu. that were mostly Euro only. However, that number dropped greatly in GT3 with Japanese cars getting the GIANT advantage, and with now GT4, the Europeans and Americans still coming a bit short on them. Its a big number increase with Euro and American cars put together Vs. the Japanese cars which is good.
But what I'm trying to say is that since the game is Japanese based, and even though KY has the Ford GT, it shouldn't surprise you that to them, American trucks are sometimes shown as BIG 4WD monsters.
And come on, its not the first. Look at the GT3 and its areas. Also, the Mercedes in GT4 is a mistake as well.
Look, it doesn't surprise me that they can only get the exact info on Japanese cars instead Europe's and America's finest.
That Ford GT better be exact in ALL Specs. The damn guy owns one.
