yeah, Taurus is 15 inches longer and 11inches wider than A4. it actually manages to dwarf the A6 too by few inches. Same goes for A8.. :odd: :nervous:

No way no how does a Taurus dwarf a A8... My friends dad has a A8L and I've been in number of Taurus's (how do you say that? Taurai? :lol:) and A8's are much much much MUCH MUCH MUCH! much much bigger.

Yeah, Taurus is HUGE. And of course I was comparing Taurus to the base version of A8, not to the "compensating for lack of something vital"-model. and I got the width of the A4 wrong earlier.. gotta rely more on the manufacturer pages from now on. :p

Impressive. This things beasts the SWB versions of all three German premium sedans but inches in every dimension. This car is now almost more than full size. And pretty weak considering the engines the other cars in the class have. All of a sudden the SHO doesn't seem so special anymore considering the only one of the Germans that doesn't overpower it is the weakest A8, which is down 15 hp.

Dodge has the Magnum and I see those everyday. Along with Volvo wagons which are everywhere.


I bet if Caddilac gets serious about that CTS wagon concept Ford might make somthing out of the Taurus.

Ford should make a Taurus SHO wagon and make a couple hundred and when people buy them and see how awesome they are Ford could make a bigger run with them.

.. I've learned to hate the gillette grille.. that is almost as tacky as ZR1's window in the hood.

Do we even get the short wheelbase A8 in the States? Yes, I said "short", not "normal". The short wheelbase version, if I recall, has the same rear seat legroom as my mom's Pontiac G6 and a trunk even smaller, which is hardly large enough for the luggage required of a one-child family's week vacation to Disney Land. We Americans tend to take things with us when we go places, and we need huge trunks to put it all.

Lots of trunk space. The previous Taurus? Could easily fit two dead bodies. Like, 200 lb, six-foot-tall dead bodies. I mean, not that you'd have them, but yeah. That's a lot of golf bags.

Try doing that in an Audi. Fuhghedaboudit!
 
In an S Class or a 750i? Those are also smaller than this car.

After seeing just how big it is, this car really doesn't seem cool at all anymore, and even starts to seem cheap and weak.
 
I think it makes the European cars feel overpriced and weak. Eighty thousand dollars for a small trunk and electrical problems? I'll take a 365 hp Taurus, thank you very much...
 
Wasn't the Taurus originally supposed to compliment the Crown Vic with a smaller sedan? why you so fat now Taurus?

My 95 Taurus has plenty of boot too. i joked with my brother that the trunk is so big I could fit a couple of dead bodies in there. I proved it by getting Me my brother and my mom's boyfriend's dog in the trunk. boxer btw, not a small dog.
 
The only thing better than the Fomocosaurus is a 465hp supercharged v8 Genesis sedan. :)

Wow. I had no idea it'd be this big as well. That's 16.9FT for a Taurus! Keep in mind that a Crown Victoria is 17.6FT!

Originally it did, but now since they stopped making the Crown Vic the Taurus is taking its place.
 
I'm still confused why Ford made the Fusion named the Fusion in the first place. Oh well, we might as well get a Fusion SHO out of it too.
