There has been 33 million Ford F-Series trucks sold worldwide. Is there really 33 million people who use their truck to tow more than 3.5 tons daily. The most likely answer is no. I can totally understand if you were towing large trailers daily but most aren't. Peobryant how often do you tow very heavy trailers?
This thread is about the F-450, which are sold in much smaller volume and are used for towing things like farm equipment and horse trailers. About as far away from a bro truck as you can get.

It's abundantly clear you have zero interest in learning anything from these threads.

I don't even remember the last time I even saw an F-450, and I'm the kind of guy who is around these things more than probably anyone on this board for the most part.

What does this have to do with you defining a "bro" truck?

As for me, I tow heavy quite often. From farm equipment to our pulling trucks, I'm behind the wheel of a truck with a trailer at least a few times a month. As for my personal truck (a '91 Ram 350) it rarely sees a trailer, but that is beside the point.

I claimed a land rover is more useful than an American truck. Are we going to begin dick waving?

Stop right there with your vulgarities. A Land Rover is in no way more useful than a Full-size pickup.

This is why "farm trucks" are popular. Because they can do things most vehicle can't. 👍

I've never seen Land Rover do a commercial like this either btw...

I have no problem with Land Rovers. We have vehicles similar to them here in the states, called Jeeps.

Last time I checked you don't have 8 feet+ of bed space and can haul 40k lbs up a hill offroad with a Jeep. You'll break your suspension and axles long before you even start moving. Plus torque. How many Land Rovers have almost 500 horsepower 900lb-ft of torque stock? Not many....

Apparently living in new york and hanging around a few truck oriented guys makes you think more of yourself and your exposure than I previously realized.
I see F450s nearly daily. DAILY.
I'm around large trucks from all sorts of years DAILY. Damn near hourly.
Trucks and the deep south go together like NY and, well, something other than trucks apparently.
DEEP SOUTH FTW!!!

I'm pretty sure we have another car here in the states that is like a LandRover... They are called LAND ROVERS. Oh, and Range Rovers.
Being that I've spent a ton of time behind the wheel of a Range Rover, and tons of time behind the wheel of many, MANY different Ford and GM truck based products, I can say with absolute certainty that the similarities are greater than you think.
Then again, my Range Rover was an '87 so it wasn't exactly the modern yuppie soccer mom SUV.

All that said, if you really like the stuff you talk about so passionately, you need to move to the south the very moment you can.

Everyone's arguments are invalid her is the queen driving her land rover!

I could've sworn we were talking about all the dick swinging between two auto Manufacterers, not a portion of the buyers of their products. Also, isn't this same "Compensating for something" Generalization the exact same thing I hear about people who buy certain cars?

And you know these people are trying to compensate how, exactly? Who cares if a dude who never needs a truck to work buys a truck? It is his money and he should be able to enjoy it however he pleases. Just because you don't like trucks doesn't mean anyone who does, but doesn't genuinely need one, has a small penis.

Of course if you see someone in a truck and immediately start thinking of his dangly bits I'd say that is more your problem than his.

What about the ones who stick "Truck nutz" on their trailer hitch?

What about the ones who stick "Truck nutz" on their trailer hitch?

Those are generally seen on "bro" trucks. I don't understand why someone would want a scrotum on their truck but whatever, they can do what they want. I don't think it has anything to do with compensating, it has to do with taste, or lack thereof.

My grandpa had them on his truck for a while.

Most of the new diesels that are coming out are rated around that. Past years have been slightly lower.

I do see your point though.

How many pickup trucks have almost 500 horsepower and 900lb-ft of torque stock? Not many....
Thats crazy, almost actual truck/lorry figures. You wouldn't know you were towing a trailer

@SniperRed3 A US pickup is far more useful than a Land Rover, until you go into town and try to park. But that's not a problem in the intended market so it's a pointless argument.

Maybe over in the UK it's tough to park but we have no problem parking them here.

American Trucks such as the F-450 are useful for towing and carrying very heavy stuff and that thing only. Land Rovers can proficiently tow heavy trailers, travel well off road, carry a lot of heavy items, it can also do the school run, is economical to run in Europe, It can successfully park in Europe, you can carry 7 people in one, it can even roam the battlefields and carry a lot of military equipment, they can stand up to a lot of abuse (I totally didn't cry at this) and It's about as Britsh as the union jack.

No one cares.

So, about that laughable "Legal Action" from Ford...

You realize the F-450 wasn't designed for offroad use right? There are other pickups you can buy that do it all just as well.

The last time that I saw one that wasn't a tow truck was 4 years ago. Other than that- the only 4500 and greater Fords and Dodges that I see are tow trucks, and that isn't often. I mostly see older (mid 90s-early 00s) 3500s since the majority of the land around here is farmland.

I never said it was good for off road use.
No, but you'll sit here and preach how it sucks for everything else and carry on about how Land Rovers are the be all end all when it comes to a work vehicle

I never said it was good for off road use.
You never said anything of particular value regarding the discussion, be it in this thread you tried to derail or the other one that you tried to derail. You redefined your argument so many times in that other thread that what little sincerity or meaning you might have had was long gone by the time it finally came to an end, and carrying it over directly into this thread doesn't do you any favors.

Anything else?

I simply commented on the relations between Ford and Ram.
It's certainly evident how clever you think you are:
Dick waving about bro trucks.

I can totally understand if you were towing large trailers daily but most aren't. Peobryant how often do you tow very heavy trailers?
But I can assure you no one actually buys the act. You entered the thread to continue the discussion you got blown out of in the other one, as is pretty evident with how you immediately rose to the challenge when questioned about it by peobryant. No need to put on airs that you actually wanted to say anything about the actual thread topic.

I'll take that as a "no," in any case.
