I just wondering, did anyone no longer plays GT but still posts here? Reason is because enough people quits, as far as i heard. I only plays GT6 when there is an update or my friend told me to play offline or online, which is less occur than the earlier or even GT5 days.

I post here because it will be an unrelated to GT discussion. Its also because some of you may not check GT section anymore, i think.

I haven't owned GT6. I haven't even had a PS in my possession for over a year.

Would I play if I had it? Probably. Are there others? Loads. There are plenty of people here who haven't played GT since several editions ago.

Never played GT6. I've participated in one or two GT4 events just before it's sunset so that's pretty much the last time I visited the GT forum section with interest. Make it 3 years back.

It would be nice to get back into sim racing but it's just not something I have the the time, the possibility or the money (especially the money) to do. Though that being said, the off-topic sections of the forum are a mighty nice internet place to be. :)

Played all the GT's religiously from 1-5, geez even played GT5 everyday for the first year it was out, then a friend invited me to try iRacing on his triple screen rig, I went straight back home downloaded iRacing for myself and have now barely touched GT since that day. I own GT6 and very occasionally plug it back in to update it, but can only play for a few minutes before I've had enough and go back to my PC racing sims.

Never finished it. Haven't touched it in a year I think. Not even Midfield has brought me enough motivation to start it up.

Bit of a shame though because it's the first GT I haven't played to 100%.

Do I go back to GT6? I never left. Not yet.

Do I play every time I get a chance to . . . do whatever I want? Yes.

Unless I'm posting at GTPlanet. Or playing with die-cast cars. Or eating. drinking. 🤬 That kind of stuff that gets in the way.

I might even go back to playing GT6 for some odd reason or other after I start playing GT7.

I don't play by myself as much as I used to, but I do still participate in online leagues and in fact am getting ready to start up another one. I have a gaming PC now with Assetto Corsa installed (and waiting on Project Cars) but they won't completely stop me from going back to GT.

I only get on GT6 anymore for updates and that's about it. The only reason I'd consider going back is to gold the Senna challenges to get back to 100% trophy completion. Most of my PS3 time is devoted to GTAV (both Single player to go for the platinum trophy and multiplayer to play with friends) and an occasional PS1 game.

Never stops, and too much work waiting for me :D Having great time making replicas and just drive, close to 70k miles and growing :P Anyone want to go back to GT6, be sure to try this and make the return more fun, drive it at Midfield on SS or RH and feel the Countach magic :D Never drive a replica ( realistic setup ) in GT6 is missing a lot on the driving simulator part ;)

I left and I'm not going back. One of the updates failed, three times did I try to fix it via deleting the entire install and re-downloading the 18gb of the game which took forever. I never got it to work, always got the same error code.
GT6 can freaking burn in hell.

I still go back to GT6 occasionally for a serious and casual racing series on weekends, but now that I'm working means that I don't have as much time anymore. Plus with my recent purchase of an XB1 and Forza 5 (to give a middle finger to pCARS), I'll probably be playing GT even less.

Dropped GT 3 years ago and didn't regret it one bit. Seeing both how 6 turned out to be and reading people's frustrations with PD since it launched didn't really make me doubt my decision neither.

Still heavily addicted to GTP though

Left GT6 behind in November whilst I don't miss the game and all it's problems one iota. I miss the crack with the regular guys I raced with terribly.:indiff: Hoping PCars can rekindle an old flame or two in the future.:)

i threw in the towel on GT6 and the constant lag and lobby disconnects over 9 months ago and have fallen in love with iRacing.
Sadly the current updates are not enough to get me back on it. It was fun while it lasted

I haven't played video games seriously in months. I don't think I'll be playing Gran Turismo for a long, long time. I only play a shooter here there and League of Legends from time to time.

What @Cano said.

The game isn't good enough to sustain being strung along with empty promises of 'new features'. With BF losing it's appeal and direction at the same time, I haven't touched the PS in over a year.

I'll play GT once every few months, but not really regularly enough to be either a current or former GT player.

I came for GT, but I stayed because of the community and everything else outside of GT.

I do all GT6 seasonals (no drifts though) and keep updating the game because of my ongoing threads "GT6 gift cars" and "VGT cars".

Can you please add the option: "Only for GTPlanet thread updating reasons"

I guess "only for the updates" if this includes Seasonals fits best...

Probably. Somewhere between that and the yes, occacionally.

I go back for the odd update or two. I`m not a full time player like I once was, I`ve now moved onto Xbox and Forza so its understandable. Also the first GT game I`ve ever stopped playing full time when it was in its prime. But for now, I go back once a month.

GT6 is too boring for me. It was fun for a time, but then I get about 30% of the way through GT games and they don't do it for me anymore.

I still do - or, I would, but I don't have a proper setup as of right now to play it on. It's hooked up to a PC monitor at the moment... but one that lacks a way to play sound without external speakers. If the PS3 had a 3.5mm input jack, I'd be fine.

It doesn't, so what I've had to do is order a red/white AV to 3.5mm adapter (and a set of PS3 AV cables.) What I'm going to do is run the video through HDMI but have the sound going through AV and out of my desktop speakers.

Barely touched GT6 in a long time, pretty much only playing Assetto Corsa for racing games at the moment, and has been that way for quite some time.

I've pretty much ended the console game realm for me. All I do now is play Automation Game on Steam.

It was sort of an emotional step for me since I've played since GT1 back in 1999 when my mom bought a PS1 for my brother and I. He isn't here.

GT6 was like any other game, really. Played a lot at first, then ran out of things to do and hardly played it. I'll occasionally go on, maybe for an update, or to go online. The matter is that I have a decently capable PC, so I just play Race 07 (PCARS when it comes out. And Assetto Corsa if I can survive the giant download), which has great AI.

Also, I love the voting option of "I play the other game genre." I never knew that there were only two gaming genres in the world. Is it "racing," and "not racing?" Yeah, I know it's just a minor error/typo... I'm a horrible human being.

I turned it on to drive Midfield a few days after that came out. Before that, I think I turned it on for a Photomode competition or two. I used it for school back in December, oddly enough. Otherwise, I think I stopped playing GT6 at a rate that could be considered "regularly" about two months after release. It simply hasn't evolved enough during the last 10 years to be able to hold my interest for very long.

Last played GT5. Eventually stopped because all I cared about was tuning cars, which meant I had to grind. I already lost all interest before Seasonals came around.

Heard GT6 wasn't much and that GT7 had already been announced back then. The initial plan was to skip to GT7.

To answer the real question, no. I'm here for a few other things, but not Gran Turismo anymore.
