Damn Ocon

+555 second penalty for Ocon

Another standing start, the one thing I like about red flags.

Kmag: Out
Hulk: Out
Perez: Out
Gasly: Out?
Sainz: Out?

That was the most bonkers 1st lap in a while, possibly since the Grosjean torpedo?

Only thing I hate about RF restarts is the "Free Tire" Change
IMO if you change tires, you go to the back of the grid.

Unless you drove into the debris field I see no reason to change tires.

Magnussen and Ocon doing Magnussen and Ocon things. They both should be at fault.

To get around the regulation. Put on some hards and try to go to the end

Changing tires means you wont have to pit as you have run 2 compounds

77 laps, not gonna happen.
With more safety cars, it might

Its going to be 75 or 76
There will be another formation lap so -1 lap there.

They are short, relatively slow laps though. Plus the tires can be completely destroyed at the end, it won't matter if they can just make their car wide and block everyone else behind, like Ricciardo did a few years ago

Yeah, no KERS and was still able to stay in front.

Might be Sainz only choice, if I'm out front and only have 1 new set of tires left (H) I keep the (M) tires on.

Gift for Sainz - the cars will restart in the original order less the cars out.

This red flag will be out for a while. The barriers were damaged.

Question, why were the Haas's on the grid? I thought they'd been disqualified and had to start from the Pitlane.

Ted said they were allowed to fix the wings.

A driver made 41 laps on purple tires in F2 this morning. This track can allow a single stint of hards for the race.

Hamilton managed 66 laps on a set of mediums in 2019. Not sure how that tyre compares to this weekend's hard.

But F2 have less downforce and less power and if the tires are the same as the ones used in F1 they will last longer.

12 minutes to restart.

Piastri has floor and sidepod damage. They are trying to patch it up, but it won't be fully fixed
