Race will be starting at the approximate time it would have been ending

Mixed compounds down the grid. Hope McLaren hasn't bungled this like in Canada.

What a slide by Pierre, that floor is thrashed

There will be quicly safety car...
And waiting again.

The Slicks will be faster within a couple laps, I don't know if the Inter runners will be able to create the pit stop to make the advantage

Assuming no one on Slicks crashes..

Edit: I could not have been more wrong...

The new Merc livery constantly makes me think there's an Aston near the front 😂

Will be interesting.

Some on Inters, some on soft, some on mediums

Still too wet for slicks, but starting to dry out for inters.

Maybe we need a new compound.
Semi-Slick.
A half and half type tire.
Half slick half inters

Kinda like what the Toyota Triathlon used.

Here we go, standing start, mixed tyres.

Red Bulls got bogged down.

Aaaaand Kimi in front. Pack it up everyone, race over. Hope we all had a good hour and a half of whatever this clownshow was.

I waited freaking two hours - to see 2 Mercedes ahead ☹️

The slicks ain't it 😅

Hamilton already lost that pitstop gap.

Hamilton already lost that pitstop gap.
The highest slicks runner is 10s behind the lowest inter runner at the end of the first lap...

The Charles seems to have spun out as he just entered the pits after dropping to last.

Slicks will be viable soon but the Inter runners have a two pit stop gap 😂

Agree with Hamilton there, if they don't gamble they don't have a chance anyway

Slicks were not the right tire,
Track is still wet and the humidity would be pretty high so it would not dry out as fast as team would've wanted.

They don't need to rush switching to the dry tyre either, the gap is so big to the current dry runners is so big, there's absolutely no pressure to do it.

One of the Audis doing Audi things,

Lawson's start was absolutely insane 😮

Are Ferrari using Google AI to decide what to do?

Yes Russell
When the Humidity is high, like in Tropical countries or after rain.
It takes time for things to dry out.

Frustrates me how when a Yellow Flag message pops up on the leaderboard, it doesn't mention where on the circuit it is

All the teams seem like they used ChatGPT to make the engines, might as well use it for everything else at this point..

Max is teaching a boy how to drive on wet!

Perfectly timed SC to switch to slicks

All the teams seem like they used ChatGPT to make the engines, might as well use it for everything else at this point..
That would seem crazy.

Anything you feed into Ai, becomes usable by it..
Last thing a team would want is their engine design or ideas being used by others because the Ai suggested it.

Have to say it is great to see racing back at Sepang... it's a great circuit and a great pity it's not back on the F1 Calendar in its own right.
