Totally agree with you there TM. The racing here is very enjoyable to watch!

This safety car will benefit all the dry tyre runners who lost so much time in the beginning.

I would say it's more of a damage reduction than a benefit

Please inform Ferrari of this as they screwed up by not pitting Lewis as he is going to need a pit stop shortly due to him being on softs.

Horrible track. Thank god they took it off the calendar in favor of bangers like Madrid. 🤡

He’s on a good recovery drive now considering he was close to being lapped, up to P5

But how much more life to those softs have?
Going to Medium and take it to the end might be a better call.

Apparently degradation lower than expected because of the previously wet condition of the track...but that said, I can't see Lewis go all the way with that soft....he's going really well here so let's see how things unfold.

Never been a fan of the spoiled brat on the radio type. Same reason I never liked Yuki.

Can't tell if it was spoiled brat behaviour or genuine shock that Hamilton was up there with him.

We all saw the soft performing better why didn't Ferrari put Lewis on another soft??

Couldn't have Hamilton gone on to another set of Soft tyres?

I'm assuming he has none left, but given the issues at the start of the race, he was technically allowed to go on to any compound for the remainder of the race, so Mediums seem like an odd choice.

Hamilton asking how long he has to stay on these tyres...

I would assume shock.
He would know Lewis was near the bottom due to being on softs at the start.

It was a choice of choose a more used sorts than the current used mediums he’s on now (which only did Q1). So not the best now, but could be better than the option at the end of the race

Edit: Lewis now currently fastest

Alex Albon has crashed. Virtual Safety Car time!

Well that’s a bonus for Lewis now. Could be on for P4 - tough now that Hadjar managed to get in under the FCY

Why is it taking this long to remove a car that's right next to an opening?

Gearbox failure.
Neutral Switch does not work when the gearbox cant respond.

Sure, but even with a crane it should have been much faster to remove it.

Might not be safe to touch it due to battery system.

As for Kmi
His best bet is to go defensive and defend against Russell rather than attack Max.
Any damage that may happen would ruin his WDC chances.

If a recovery vehicle needs to be on track a safety car must be used. This is a result of the Bianchi crash

Safety car about 7 laps too long already.
How are they screwing this up so bad.

Infuriating.

They couldn't have just made Sergio slow down & let everyone pass him.

And now, that could be the race under Safety Car....

Yeh, this is getting ridiculous.

Such a pity - a good race has been utterly ruined.

Oh FFS - that's that then...

At this rate, Bernd Mayländer will get Driver of The Day.
