Can't finish behind the safety car, if it doesn't come out.

It's out now.

Peak Italy guys.

Well, at least one Aston will see the chequered flag...

Italian punctuality at its finest.

Stick a fork in it, this one is done.

Two points for DEV.

Message for LAT...

Bye Bye Goodbye GIF

Feel like I'm watching an IndyCar race with how they've dealt with this stricken car.

They won't get racing again. Shame.

This is a trash finish. The FIA mucks this up again.

On a separate note; If DeVries isn't taking over for Latifi from here on out, it's a travesty.

They should change the rules....if an incident happen within 10 laps of the end of the race they should immediately red flag the race to prevent this from happening again and then restart with a dash to the finish cause this is annoying.

Shoulda let the two lapped cars go, they do have precedence for that  :scared:

As much as it sucks and kills the mood, it's the right call imo. Don't need a repeat of Abu Dhabi '21.

Also, as much as I like Latifi as an individual, De Vries' performance today should be the last nail in the coffin.

They should bring a joker card - if there is an incident in the final 5 laps, they bring Masi out.

Welp, they're finishing behind the safety car.

Amazing drive from de Vries, P9 so that's 2 points for him on his debut. No doubt he deserves an F1 seat.

If it was red flagged, they would normally declare the race as it so close to the end wouldn't they?

They wouldn't actually do that because it's Ferrari at Monza. Leclerc was never even close to winning anyway, declaring the race wouldn't have changed that. Nothing would have made a difference to Verstappen winning; not enough laps left and the race was too close to the end for a red flag anyway.

Ted Kravitz's butthurt tears are marvellous though.

Horner saying that VER was fastest all weekend, must have been in the toilet during quali.

Not anymore, races are always finished these days even if there is only 1 lap after a red flag.
