Lando already struggling with dirty air. Can’t wait for this reg to be over.

A frustrated Verstappen being slowed back into a British championship rival who he already (ludicrously) blames for a hold-up in qualifying...

Can't see that ending sensibly.

This is feeling very much like Suzuka, with Norris following Verstappen the whole race without ever making a move.

Other than that move down the outside. Try again Lando.

Hamilton goes off in 16, so that shuts the door on a top 5 for him.

and they swapped him back with Leclerc - didn't wait for the final straight this time

What a farce

I can only assume the meatball flag was forgotten somewhere

Commanding race from George. Nice result for Kimi.

Solid defense from Max.

Congrats to McLaren on their WCC. Gloves off? Goooooooooo!

Cheeky Lap 1 pass from Norris, but he made it stick. I get Piastri's frustration with this race and the team's past decisions that favored Lando, but just get on with it.

Quietly decent race from Ferrari. Hope Lewis doesn't get that track limits penalty.

Alonso points!

Bearman points for Haas! Well done.

Point for Sainz!

Whoever did the race direction on the cameras needs a slap for that ending. The delta between Hamilton and Alonso absolutely disintegrating over the final lap thanks to Hamilton's dead brakes with the possibility of snatching P7 on the line, and instead we watch Russell crawling around after crossing the line.

or
British Team, British Driver, British Bias
Piastri certainly has a massive problem and it's one that he can't really do anything about. In a predominanlty British based series, in a British team, against a British team mate, with a big mouthed team principal who has openly said this to be the Lando Norris era, he's Australian to begin with. And not Lando Norris to finish it off.

He was also bought into the team, not nurtured by them. Poached from elsewhere.

The run to the title conclusion is going to be very interesting.

At times like this I really wish I'd gone pirate and used the F1 TV coverage. Sky F1 are so British-biased it's laughable.

It's pretty funny but equally annoying.

All the first lap incident analysis - like every race they just go over and over on something - are saying it was "Tough Racing" but really Norris was probably too aggressive made a driver error collided with two cars - he was very lucky that it was slight contact and that Piastri didn't get pushed into the wall because he would have had a slam dunk penalty and could have delayed the constructors title. If they were not team mates I wonder if Norris would have got a driver standards warning.

When it was clear Norris wasn't going to pass Verstappen why didn't they swap positions at the end to give Piastri back the time the team cost him with the slow pitstop like they did with Norris in Monza? hahaha

Poor Lando keeps getting so much luck and still behind, if he wins the title it will be quite amazing.

At least the constructors championship will be wrapped up today, so no reason for any more papaya rules.
Just let them fight to the end.
Of course that will never happen.

A championship stage-managed to the very last lap.

Did Ferrari pull a Ferrari again? Will they DQ Hamilton?
5 sec time penalty. Swaps places with Alonso in the final classification.

Missed that Sainz managed to get into the points from the back. Good drive.

Very happy to see back-to-back titles for the team. Papaya rules should go out the window, let the boys decide the fate of the WDC or bottle it up for Max.

Crazy how much this season has eroded the loyalty I had towards McLaren. Like on one hand yeah, swapping positions after the lap 1 scuffle and a slow stop is daft. But also, under McLaren's own rules its fair. Why does fair seem to only apply when Lando's luck runs out?
