Formula GT B-SPEC help!

I didn't mess with the tunings at all and Golded all the races but had to babysit a few...remember to change your tyres back to slicks from rain tyres if the next track isn't raining, all the AI cars will seemingly forget and pit in straight away. Take advantage of the buggy AI on the Nurburgring, they skid off a lot near the end but pace down before that part or you will do the same (unless your Bob is pretty experienced)

I did read that putting your transmission up to about 250mph max speed helps, am running that successfully in A-Spec now as it's the only regular event i've only silvered so far, on course for Gold this time.

You pretty much need to keep an eye on your driver for this championship though, it's not an event you can walk away from, at least not all the races.

I left this championship until my B-Spec driver was at level 37, and he won it with total ease. 👍

I think you can only use hards in B-Spec? Could be wrong though as currently working through it in A-Spec again (with softs!)

Only 19 laps into the 37 of first race but he is doing AWESOME...ahead by 10 secs...no pit yet!

Hard for me, just pitted 3 laps ago and he's now 1min ahead ;)

Dammit, looks like I should have put hard on.
In the second race, 2nd last lap, Bob was in 1st by a good margin, I leave the room and come back and he only picks up 40 points in the championship.
Now only 5 points ahead.
I put on Racing hards at Monaco and Bob is just falling back, and he brakes way too early on the first corner...
Things aren't looking good.

Very bad, Bob just finished 5th on Monaco.

EDIT: Lap 1 of the Nurbugring, Bob get to third from the first corner. Bob then gets caught out at the last chicane and spins, the little glitch place where all the AI keep spinning. Fortunately, another car came and hit Bob in the right direction so he keeps 3rd.

:( You using those settings you recommended to me yeah?

I think it's those tyres that may be messing with your bob...

I've used softs for the first two, he won race one but lost race two because they worn out.
Race three I used hards, he lost again.

I pitted in the 18th lap, ended up in 8th place after getting out, and proceeded to over take everyone till I was in first again, and they pitted later and lost even more time. Running on soft tires.

I don't even want to make a pitstop.

I don't understand that....that's just crazy

In these FGT i just consistently tell bob to "pace up" then "overtake" seemes to work!

I'm not babysitting him.
I'm not allowed on the PS3 right now, so I just setup the car, race start then turn off the TV :D

I WAS going to quit and do some A-spec racing on my wheel, but you guys seem to make me want to finish b-spec (I just bought my FGT after a whole afternoon of grinding)

Race 2 now starting, again on soft tyres.

Ah, that might explain it! haha

Glad to help DMB, think about it! Get B-Spec out the way now and you can race to your heart's content! :D That's my reasoning

There's no big mystery to this.

Use soft slicks, full downforce, and maybe put your gear ratio up a bit, so that bob hits the limiter a bit later than the opponents. This way he can always pass at the end of long straights.

Pit at the middle of the race, no need to let the tires wear down more than that. The opponents really struggle near the end of the race because their tires are shot. Then they pit in the second to last lap, or something. Your bob will outpace them almost 10 seconds per lap at this point, if you already have a new set of tires.

I raced this one as soon as it became available, and my bob won all the races with atleast 40 seconds.

I did an accidental extra pit stop at monaco, and my bob spun a few times in the chicane the AI tends to spin at, at Nurburgring. Still, he won both of those races, too, with huge marginals. I started Suzuka with the wrong tires, so bob had to pit at lap one, and fell 40 seconds behind, he still ended up lapping everyone.

So yeah, the FGT series was one of my bob's most dominating performances.
