Thankfully, that feature can now be turned off.

Not only did you not have to use rewind before (it was optional), you could even turn off the tool tip. So, essentially it's always been off for us hardcore racers.

One thing I noticed is, the driving. I remember when we used to watch videos of FM3 like this during the hype and in every video there was someone crashing and going off the track with out braking. Basicly at least we are seeing clean driving now.

Yes it's for real. A good feature for a simulator when you're tuning, practicing. It's also not mandatory, I'd know since I never used it while racing in FM3.

Anyway, I doubt I'll get this game. It looks good, but it requires an Xbox and Xbox Live. FM3's online mode was one of the most horrible things I've ever seen, practically spoiled the potential that the game had. If FM4's is the same I certainly won't get it.

However, if the open online rooms have all the settings that FM3's private race rooms had (please PD, copy this, copy it immediately) and the physics are improved, I'd say Forza will be the best is and I might just try to get a 360. Those are the things I need to see to be interested, right now it looks like we're just getting a lot of fluff.

Top gear track is nice but the other new track not so much. The cokcpit is same just that FOV is adjusted lol. The lighting is improved makes it less cartoonish. As expected not a much of an upgrade.

Looking forward to this and appreciate the changes they made, especially active aero it was long over due. Got a few races left in FM3 to complete all of them, great the game is still holding my attention since launch day in 09

Graphics look improved as does lighting. And the features have been greatly expanded or added. Very big upgrade from what we've seen so far and more is set to be announced.

In game graphics are not big upgrade at all but that was expected because they are also using more than 8 cars this time, lighting model is improved that's all.

Until we see direct feed from game play especially of the final build, and not some youtube video of a camera shooting a tv screen of a beta build... it's all speculation. What I did notice is that lighting in game play, even with these compressed web videos looks greatly improved from prior Forzas. And it's not just lighting either. The models look better too.
Then like I said all those features added or expanded, and T10 is still holding stuff back. A lot different than your 'As expected not a much of an upgrade' remark

I'm going to agree with prymet1me on his remark regarding the demo making people all butthurt.

I think Dan said the lighting, shadows got a big upgrade, but also draw distance, detail in scenary and tracks, car models and then the new visual effects all went to producing a much better looking game.

It's already been confirmed that Custom Public Lobbies are returning.

And that to me is a big plus.

My biggest gripe with FM2 was that the private races didn't earn you anything and friends and I would race privately all the time to avoid the Timmys online who ruin the online gaming side of things. Then FM3 came on and added credits to private races but they botched the custom public lobbies. Now they are bringing that back and that is awesome news.

EDIT: Much more of the cockpit is viewable, you can see most of the steering wheel in an STI during the IGN video.

FOV( Field of View) is changed that's all. Some PC games like rfactor, SimBin games you can do it yourself lol. But whatever makes you guys happy
