Well unfortunately it looks like everyone is right. The patch released today ruined the traction at the drag strip and now my wheelie cars that worked yesterday, dont work anymore. :guilty:

Well...thanks for the bad news...I didnt even get a chance to try it yet! I am sure the official forums are exploding and it will get fixed.

I wondered what that patch did - didn't notice anything myself, but that kinda sucks really. :(

If I had to guess, I'd say the patch was mainly to fix the "no money and exp after races when using the wheel" bug.

Yup yesterday changed a lot of F4 and not in a good way.

Here's the official word on what the patch did. You may have been inadvertently using the exploit.

http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/thread/4875997.aspx
What exploit? I think that exploit was for drag racing times. All I was doing was tuning cars to do wheelies. I wasnt even running the drag strips. I dont even think I have any times with the Cuda or the Delorian especially since they both maxed out at about 45mph.

It doesnt say it in that list but they FOR SURE reduced the traction at the dragstrip. I loaded all of my wheelie settings that worked on Tuesday and Wednesday and now NONE of them worked Thursday. :ouch::ouch:
So as you can imagine I started to get some very frustrated messages from people that purchased my wheelie settings. So I ended up pulling all my wheelie settings from the storefront. :guilty: Thanks a lot T10. 👎 Its the first time out of 4 games that I have ever been this mad at T10. Its also the first time I have ever had to remove a tuning setup.

And for those that dont know.....they will be reseting the leaderboards.

The exploit was adding drag strip traction when you went into the tuning menu while at the drag strip, apparently. I've heard reports of people still running the same times in normal conditions. Haven't played it since Wednesday, and probably won't get back to it until Monday.

Don't see the point in drag racing events if you can't get traction. My 500kw+ (?) Dodge Dart does 11's... Thats realistic, sure.

What mods did you do to the Dart? 500kW is just under 700hp, what's the torque specs and did you lighten it up, drag slicks, widened wheels, etc etc?

I did the Infineon Rivals 500 hp 1/4 before and after the patch and I'm getting the same times with my King Cobra Mustang. I was #40 on the leaderboard last night.

Everything possible to reduce weight/increase performance including drag slicks, widest wheels etc, and even tried playing with settings to make the car squat under launch to help traction. It did work, but still not the sort of times it should be doing. :(

Drag times were unrealistic in FM3 already (meaning cars where too slow) and in that game all track times were way too low. Now that FM4 has more realistic lap times cause of better (lower) tire grip, I can only imagine how much off the drag times are. Unless its like GT5 where grip is programmed differently for cornering and acceleration.

How hard can it be for turn 10, to give the drag racers more grip ??
Just make the track surface sticky, and give us more tire grip.
I can make a 400hp car that weighs around 1000 kg, with 305 drag slick, and a weight distibution of 51 % front 49% rear, smoke its tires like an burnout contest :(
That car should atleast have instant grip, or maybe bog at the start.
But well turn 10 got all our money, and there LTFAO.
Maybe we should spam there facebook, and there emails.
Promising us wheelies in under the hood reviews, and then its nowhere to be seen :(

I loved what they did with fm4 but now I don't even want to turn my xbox on for the update. Who doesnt like seeing a car doing a wheelie going down the track. I haven't played much so have they fixed the awd problem from fm3? I got so tired being the only rwd in the lobby.

After not playing for a week, my Mustang which was able to run 11.1s consistently using the clutch (record of 11.034) can still do 11.4s without using the clutch and without getting readjusted to the game. I don't think we lost anything.
