They said the 7th and its 2:27 est.
It's available on the xbox store page but there seems to be car pass issues, its still charging $4.99 even for people who have access to it. Few more hours and things should be worked out.

On the GB store they're not even advertising the main game as having been released yet, let alone the DLC :ouch:.

One of the funnest cars to drive........to me!

...handing off the game to a dev like Sumo Digital whom I've never ever heard of in the world of racing games, was plain disrespectful. PG did a phenomenal job on the 360, and I was disappointed form the very start to know another dev was doing the X360 version.
I was actually aware of Sumo Digital because of the racing games they've worked on -- the Xbox version of OutRun 2 and the OutRun 2006 ports, and Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing. I don't think FH2-360 suffered for their influence; FH1 has similar limitations and bugs that were never fixed.

Whilst 360 owners might feel put out by this, as an Xbox One owner who paid a fair bit of money on it, I'm fully in favour of the new console getting the better treatment. They didn't have to release anything for the 360 and you should be thankful a first party game came out a year into their new console's lifetime.
I am thankful, because if not for FH2-360, I was ready to sit on the sidelines. Everyone knew FH2-One would be the superior game, and I bought FH2-360 not as a discounted ticket to a next-gen experience, but as one last fling with the franchise before possibly giving it up for good. I didn't even expect DLC, but I did expect a little more support and goodwill for a Forza-branded game. How does FH2-One benefit from a lack of Forza Rewards for FH2-360?

FH2-360 is still a great game, but the cool dismissal and poor communication on T10/PG's part -- especially regarding DLC even though I called it -- is not exactly going to inspire holdouts to march with T10/PG into the next gen. While I don't share the resentment, I understand it.

From your thoughts, I'm guessing the 360 version of Horizon 2 isn't quite as good as the first one. The first one is absolutely brilliant, with noticeably better engine sound sampling and recording, great ambient sounds, very good open road physics, and graphics + lighting to boot. Especially the slightly improved suspension physics (rebound modeling).

MS will always be MS. They have to find a way to screw customers somewhere somehow. There SHOULD have been a FM5 on X360. And handing off the game to a dev like Sumo Digital whom I've never ever heard of in the world of racing games, was plain disrespectful. PG did a phenomenal job on the 360, and I was disappointed form the very start to know another dev was doing the X360 version.

I'm sticking to my X360, its a super duper console. Highly memorable gaming years, these past few. Got a major back log to get through, so that'll keep me busy for quite a while. In no hurry to get an X1. Irrespective of what the specs and reviews say, it is not all that powerful compared to the 360. Certainly not the jump we saw between Xbox and Xbox 360. Even though FM5 and Horizon 2 are great lookers, you can tell compromises were made. Won't get into that in a lot of detail though.

Like I said, 360 is a perfectly good console, and has got a good few years left in it. If you want more power, you can always settle for a PC, or a PS4. I'm not quite convinced an X1 can keep up with either one of these.

To put it in a nutshell, as long as you don't expect it to be a big improvement over the first Horizon, you should enjoy it. It at least addresses some issues people had with the first game, such as the career mode not being long enough and the "small" map size. Plus, the 360 version has cars that aren't in the One version, so it's not all bad. My only real complaint so far is that the overall presentation could have been better. It isn't as good as the first game graphically and some parts of the map are pretty barren. I almost feel like I'm playing a beta at times.

I agree about that, I feel that it was a jerkish move to hold 360 players from getting Forza reward benefits with their version of Horizon 2 and let all of the xbone players have everything. Though, I still think the 360 version is a great game on its own as well. I still have a lot to do even though I completed the tournament such as building up my car collection, finishing the other race divisions, and etc.

Anyway yeah, I kinda figured this would happen once microsoft brought out their new Xbox. I knew they would take some tactics to lead players into getting their new console.

I definitely see myself playing Horizon 2 longer than the first one, despite it not being as polished.

Considering the pre-release comments on having a DLC plan in place for both systems, yeah, I find this an incredibly shady move that will likely put me off of getting a One for longer now. I never expected a game that compared with the One version - absolutely not - but the fact they waited until after release to mention the shafting of 360 players with regards to DLC and Forza Rewards leaves a bad taste. Do they owe us those? No, technically not. Did I expect a bit better of them? Yes, yes I did.

I'll probably be trading it in, which I haven't done since the PS1 days.

Someone on the official forum said the back of the box on the 360 version has Downloadable Content as a feature as well. If that's true, someone at Sumo/PG/T10 better respond quick; that's false advertising on the box.

But what is there already isn't good? And then there's always the one version.

How is that false advertising, your making an assumption this is the only DLC which it's not.

Meh, there's not that much there that I haven't already seen in FH1, other than the new map, obviously. It won't hold my attention for very long the same way GT6 hasn't; it's a lot of what I've already had.

As someone who bought the CE's of FM4, FH1, and yes, even FM5 - in preparation for one day owning the One, because of this series no less - and all the DLC up until this point on the 360, yeah, there's the One version, and T10's disregard for the existing community on 360 means I have much less incentive to move up any time soon.

The announcement on the official forums I saw this morning said "at this point", so I suppose technically, you're right. But do you think they're going to skip a month and then start pumping out 360 content? Really?

At this point, there is absolutely no DLC content for the 360 version. So yes, that'd be false advertising.

Fh2 isn't revolutionary, but that's a good thing because change for the sake of change (instead of improvement) is bad. This is classic fun with awesome cars and a decent map, along with sim orientated handling and customisation, it's like the perfect driving game.

I imagine the perfect driving game wouldn't get the under-the-rug treatment from its undoubtedly-proud publisher, no?

That's too bad that PG doesn't see the benefits of supporting the 360 community with DLC. If they would have said there would be no DLC for the 360 when they announced the 360 version of the game, then no harm done, at least that would be honest and upfront.

Playground's done hardly anything for FH2-360, it was mostly Sumo who was working on it. They're the ones to ask regarding DLC.

There's two sides to a coin, how many threads and posts are there on the forums that claim DLC is a money grabbing tactic, but if a software company doesn't offer DLC then they are screwing their loyal customers... hmm.
If it clearly states on the box that there will be more cars and tracks offered as DLC to purchase then that should be addressed.

It states as much, and they said as much in an interview pre-release.

the current gen version isn't

Which isn't the subject of the complaint, rather obviously.
