I watched the video last night but it didn't reveal much, I'm glad there is much more information here at the forums. I had no idea it was free until now, I would've paid money for it either way plus I still need to by the Storm Island DLC too. I really hope there is takedown missions, that would be fun to do with friends.
I agree I never expected it to be free. Playground Games (PG) has truly gained my respect with H2 in MANY ways. I plan to get all the dlc for Horizon 2 but at this point I need an external hd. My current HD is full. But I will get all the dlc for this game for sure. PG truly deserves the support.

Anyone recommend an external hd? Maybe around 2 TB?

I haven't looked into external HD's yet, no idea on that one just yet.

I figure I will buy the DLC when I get back into the game, right now I'm busy with DA Inquisiton (X1), Mine Craft (360), and the Crew/ I figure there's no sense buying DLC until I'm ready to get back into the game again. The last two nights it's been strictly Minecraft and nothing else.

I'm no hurry, FH3 won't come out until 2016, plenty of time left to enjoy FH2.

The 'Too Soon Junior' achievement certainly answers one of my secretly wanted requests. :P

Oh boy, they're going to add nitrous. That can only go so well.

Also, I guess I'm going to earn some new achievements off the spot. I have a few of the cars shown there already.

It's not so secret given your username. Would be great if the nitrous upgrade carries through to the main game.

Probably only for those specific FnF cars. Unlikely for the rest of them in the main game.

Finally a Veyron wish it was a GS though.

The SuperSport is already in the game.

The cars from the expansion are available in Vanilla Horizon once you've unlocked them and Storm Island's rally suspension and tyres are available to all cars, so there's hope nitrous will carry over to all.

He said GrandSport, he's referring to this model:

EDIT: Wait a minute, did I just see a 2015 Challenger mentioned in the achievement list? Oh c'mon expansion pack, hurry up!

FYI, it's out now, (about 25 mins ago) downloading now :)

Update - must be noted it's been nearly 1h30 and I'm still only at 43% :@

So does it add on to Horizon 2 if you have the full game? Or is it always standalone but Horizon 2 can use the cars?

I hope it's not still downloading :nervous:

Will wait until I get home for the weekend to attempt this mammoth install

First thoughts:

It seems like an extended demo - like a trial almost for existing FH2 players. I can certainly see why its free and certainly would not pay for it, but its a bit of fun with some awesome new cars on FH2, which is fun but only for a few hours, maybe a bit more if your pushing it. People who thought this was going to be anything more than that - probably should have lowered their expectations. It doesn't really add anything new to the FH2 experience apart from NOS which is minimal at best and it isn't adding new experiences like Storm Island was.

This is made for the more casual gamer I feel - take one of the biggest movie franchises associated with cars that mostly everybody knows, use the existing Horizon engine with a few tweaks (NOS) and make it free. Gets people playing FH2 and ultimately getting them hooked and buying the game, whilst simultaneously giving Universal a game to go with Furious 7 that isn't an abomination like Furious 6 showdown was.

I really hope this isn't the last expansion we get for Horizon 2. We'll get more car packs for sure, but that only gets you back playing for so long. I hope they try add a new experience like Storm Island was - but if going by the last Horizon is any indication, then after this April Car Pack and maybe one more, we are probably done seeing the game being supported. Hope PG and T10 prove me wrong.
