Ah right, 2017 was when they still had the 650S. Hope you went this year and had fun!

As a matter of fact I did go this year and had a blast. So, in keeping this thread on topic, here's a couple of 9s from this year's race:

Ok, now a question/comment on the game instead of the (fun) countdown pictures.

Premium early access is November 5, while Standard access is November 9. What happens right in between those dates? The F1 Grand Prix of MEXICO! I would hope we'll see some game-related marketing that weekend, maybe via some trackside signage. If not, then a missed opportunity.

The lighting in the game is a bit weird and unnatural, check this out, driving into a tunnel and the car is still lit as if the sun is above it, very strange. I've also noticed that shadows from world objects don't seem to affect the car, as if it lit separately from the world.

One of the perks of raytracing; raytraced shadows would fix this.

Idk about on track signage, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a TV ad for the game every break.

And I’ve got no school on the 5th, as Fridays in the college I’m taking now are not school days, which means that I’ll begin grinding the game to prepare myself for the playlist on November 11.

What’s interesting’s the fact that I could get to play FH5 next Friday, at 12 PM (GMT+8?).

i live in british columbia so i can play at at exact time it launches (which is on a thursday for me). 9pm. 3 hrs after i finish work

I've got enough vacation built up at work that I've taken the week of the 8th - 12th off. I'll start driving on the evening of the 5th and may stop only long enough to watch the Mexican GP.
... and maybe eat. Sleep is optional.

Btw. Have you guys seen this video? It's really cool that now every car can have a purpose depending on how you build it. Seems like it's not just having a large car count, but giving every car a different customizable spec type. I LOVE THIS IDEA!

I replaced the hard drive in my One X with a SSD in preparation for the game. It’s still not as fast as the Series S/X of course, but it’s a significant upgrade. Horizon 4 loads much quicker than before, so no doubt Horizon 5 will benefit from this as well.

Not only that. Forza also celebrates car culture as a whole, with what kind of cars it gets on a regular basis. For many car enthusiasts (and car lovers, video game lovers alike), Forza is definitely a place I would want to forever live in.
I'm digging the countdown images everyone has been posting, as I'm discovering some cars I haven't even heard of. And the imagination...I LOVE this subforum. 😍

Car list update with all of the Forza Editions (aside from the VIP Pass ones) added in.

If you take out all of the FE's, Welcome Pack Cars & Series 1 cars (from the current list of 528), you only get 501 cars. Hoping that changes before release!

The sound of that Murci sounds so freaking amazing! And the shifting noises is flawless! PG have done an OUTSTANDING job on the engine notes this time for FH5, as well as the environment sounds and raytraced sounds of other cars. Change my mind!
