I have an issue with my Fanatec DD Pro on PS5 since installing the update. Happened to me twice in my gaming session yesterday:

When trying to set off from a standstill, the car won't move, like a brake is applied. The engine revs and it is clear the car is trying to move, but it is fixed in place. I pressed every button, tried to go backwards instead of forwards, went back to my house and then back on the road - nothing helped. Only turning the wheel off and on fixed this, then the car would set off and drive like nothing ever happened.

I've never had this issue before, it started with yesterdays update.

EDIT: I just remembered that this game applies some kind of "shadow brakes" when you are at a standstill so the car doesn't start to roll off. These brakes normally disengage automatically when you touch the accelerator. I believe it is this brake that won't release, something about it broke with the update.

I was bored and I found someone selling the game disc really cheap so I thought what the hell I bought it.

The first few hours, the story felt a bit of a slog and some stuff were questionable (the audio volume at times quite immersion breaking). It's starting to be decent up after finding the 3rd camp IMO and got interesting at the second half of the game. Tbh by the end I'm quite interested in a sequel.

The walking flashback missions were boring, the random events were pretty cool at times, I like the gun combat, horde missions were terrifying.

I guess the game either interests you or not but I had a great time with it, riding the bike was fun.

Fun. I bought it back when Covid hit, went in with 0 expectations and ended up loving it.
Most underrated Sony exclusive from last gen in my book.

Anyone else having problems to start the game since the latest update from a few days ago (PC Microsoft store)?
Everytime I select: Load Existing Forza Horizon Profile. The game just crashes.
And the backup where I only have 492 cars must be really old since I have over 1000 cars now.

Also my account and the latest game save does work on my Xbox Series X, I also tried to buy new cars on Series X to update the Game save but still same pop up.

I tried DDU, Repairing and reseting game files and Microsoft store, I tried other games (FH4, FM23) they both work fine.
I discovered this yesterday after FH4 Crashed on me with a Driver Time Out. Might that be the Problem? But why is it affecting only FH5 then, shouldnt it affect FH4?

Im now reinstalling the game.

GPU: Radeon RX 7900XT
CPU: Ryzen 7 9700X
RAM: 64GB DDR5 6000MT/s CL30

Enjoying the game a lot. Completed the whole season yesterday lol.

Think I almost completed the base game apart from racing and few bonus boards. Just bought the premium edition pack so I can now start with my Rally Adventure. I hope they bring FH6 to PS as well!

So, I pulled the trigger on the premium edition yesterday. It came with one free backstage pass.

I've been thinking about getting the Valkyrie from it, but are there better suggestions for someone who's just starting.

Haven't driven the Valkyrie on GT7 so no idea what it isto drive, but apparently its a somewhat of a monster on track.

Would it be the best option to get for free and how often do those backstage passes get handed out?

You get backstage passes either by getting 40 points in the weekly Forzathon playlist (and because you got the Premium edition, it's easier because the expansions have activities that contribute to the playlist) or by trading 1000 Forza points at the Forzathon shop, which are earned through the playlist, specifically the weekly and daily challenges. You can also get some FP by completing the car mastery trees.

Just finished the PS5 version of FH5, and it made me feel how fast four years felt playing it on PC (Microsoft Store), then on my Xbox Series X, then on PS5 again, where I had to start everything from scratch and (quote-on-quote): "rebuild my empire".

The reality is still not hitting me yet, with Forza on PlayStation... but I immediately forget about the fact that I'm playing the game on a platform that was once deemed unthinkable in the past as I'm immersed into the game.

There's still lots to do, and more cars to collect, but I feel like FH5 is the most impactful Horizon game I've played since FH3. Horizon Mexico was indeed a blast, and I'm prepared for where the next one will be headed to.

If you go into the accolades tab,evolving world i think,completing all the accolades to do with the Realms update gives you roughly around 5000 forzathon points.There easy to do and pretty good fun.Also the 4 new cars are easy to aquire.

Yes, I get about 1100 FP per week ever since (i think) the Realms update and I've no idea why. Thought I was the only one!

Well, I can't vouch for it this week because, well, I'm not at my xbox...

Which reminds me, I wonder if anyone has created this on Eventlab Island? 🤔 must check when I get back.

Just add the points. The weekly challenge gets you 5, the daily challenges 7, the Trial gets you 10 (you must qualify by getting to the Hall of Fame), the Lab events 3 apiece (6), stunts 2 apiece (6), championships (you have to win them) 5 apiece, that's 15. That's 49 points there. Alternatively, the photo and collectibles challenges bring 3 apiece, and the monthly rivals get you 2 each (it says four, but 2 go to the weekly list and 2 go to the monthly rewards and they can only be done once). And if you have the expansions, that's 14 more points (2 championships and 2 stunts).

Also if you click the right stick you can see which vehicle or class of vehicles is required for each challenge. At least on Xbox, anyhow, so I'm pretty sure it works for PS5.

Fortunately (a) my second attempt had people who knew what they were doing and (b) I'm not even sure you have to win to get the necessary points as I'm sure we lost the first game by fifty points but it still completed after the second.

This must be the only game I've heard of where people complain about getting free stuff. They gave out a lot of gifts over the years for anniversaries etc. You're getting them all at once because you're four years late to the party. Check your Message Center and there may be some explanatory notes. Or not, it doesn't really matter.

The first race in this week's trial is awful. The second and third races the AI seems a lot more beatable.

That second circuit whose name I can't remember with the long right hander through the final two checkpoints (think it's Los Jardines?) is easy to get a leg up on the Unbeatables with.
