I tried to get all the cars I was missing from the auction house but I seem to have met my match with the Lotus 340R. I’ve been searching Obsessively all week and cannot win one for the life of me. I found every other car I was missing except the 340R and 4 Extreme E cars I don’t care to try to get from the AH.

The Plymouth Belvedere took the longest to find but I did eventually get it, and I think the Ford Mustang SVT ‘03 may have been the most frustrating to win since it shows up strangely frequently but you can almost never win it. Anyhow I wouldn’t recommend using the AH for this purpose unless you feel like using up tons of time.
The best tip I have for AH hunting is to use the Y button to attempt buyouts rather than going through the rigamarole of loading the entire listing. It's gotten me quite a few cars I'd missed over the course of three uninstalls. At this point in the game's life though you might be better off either waiting for the car you want to appear as a Hard-to-Find in the Playlist or popping up in the Backstage Shop.

The 340R is a very hard car to get if I remember right. Your opinion on the Extreme E cars matches mine bud. They're only in my garage as I'm a completionist. I very rarly use them.

Good luck on getting the 340R, it's a fun little motor.

I still need the Formula Drift Forsberg Z and that's it. There are some Forza editions I don't have but I kinda don't care about those.

koenigsegg-sadair-s-spear.jpg

This is my early nominee for the next cover car for the next FH, considering that Koenigsegg is chums with the Forza Motorsport/Horizon franchises.

I highly doubt this will be the FH6 cover car
If we're indeed going to Japan, I'll bet it'll be either the Aspark Owl or a Japanese supercar we haven't seen yet. I doubt they'll let this game go without making it blindingly obvious it's set there, though the Temerario would be a likely fit too considering they don't usually use cars from the setting country--having only done it three times in the last five games.

FH1: 2011 Dodge Viper
FH2: 2014 Lamborghini Huracan
FH3: 2016 Lamborghini Centenario
FH4: 2019 McLaren Senna
FH5: 2020 Mercedes-AMG One AND 2020 Ford Bronco (though the Bronco Sport is produced in Mexico)

I would predict the cover car to be whatever new supercar/hypercar is due to be in full production next year given T10's ability to partner with manufacturers & use their game to showcase their newest halo models.

My guess given their partnership dating back to the P1 & the Senna, is the W1 that's due to enter production this year & the first customer ones delivered in the first half of 2026. I would even expect a production model W1 to be displayed right next to Horizon 6's official debut.

Does Playground plan to add a last car to fill the gap to 900? Would love to see what a 900 distinct car models badge would look like.
I would doubt it, if most folks that got that far only have, what, 895 or something along those lines? Maybe when FH6 is announced they'll add the cover car to 5's Autoshow as a way of tiding us over or something.

That wouldn't be a bad guess either, since Japan and Britain used to be great friends historically. I wouldn't mind the W1 as a cover car either way--as a PHEV it would definitely fit with Horizon's new focus on sustainability.

Considering we got the 22 NSX on FM (first new Honda/Acura road car in forever), I wonder, could they be saving the 23 Type R for a cover car as a way to reinvigorate their Honda relationship? I think we're getting multiple cover cars again.

So there are rumours that T10 might be shut down or udergo severe layoffs:

There's online speculation that entire studios could be closed, and I've heard from sources that Turn 10, the studio behind Forza Motorsport, is bracing for cuts.

I been wondering I have tried 2 times to get into this game but both times I have just lost interest.

First time back in 2022 I bought a Series X and this game played for 5 days and just lost interest. I ended giving up my series x to my sister

Now I bought the Ultimate version (ps5) back in April to get the 3 day early play time and after putting in around 10 Hours all just driving the c8r  I just lost interest again I even delete the game of my system.

There's no P1 GTR?

I think this is mostly Euro based jobs getting the axe by Microsoft
I can't imagine that's good news for Fable if Playground gets hit. That game hasn't been getting any major news since FH5 came out. FH6 will probably stick around but at this point I do wonder what the future of Horizon is.

There's no P1 GTR?
That is the main reason yes but I just felt lost I didn't really enjoy the races and driving around the map just got boring fast.

In my time with the PS5 version I did manage to get some of the better cars like the enzo, f1 '94, 765lt and with 1 free car pass I got a free normal P1.

But overall the absent of my beloved p1 gtr just became to much.:embarrassed:

What '23 Type R are you referring to because the NSX ended production with the Type S you noted in Motorsport. If they're going to use a Type R for the cover, they'll likely just use the current FL5 Civic.

I feel both T10 and PG will be mosty fine, remember T10 works in ForzaTech engine and both are working on FH6 and Fable that are confirmed to be launched next year

quoting my FM thread post:
but, putting emotion asides and focusing logically, i am not sure what leadership is planning, but i think that 1 of 2 things may happen, and both may hurt forza franchise on long term although in different degress

1- FM update team closed, T10 focused only in-engine work for Fable and Horizon
2- FM update team cut slllightly, most layoffs focused on devs in FH6 and Fable that were already concluded their workss

Considering the fact that the idea of FM is closer to Fallout76/Sea of Thieves than as Forza series is traditionally, the fact that Fable and FH6 launch are next year and that layoffs may also be planned for UK Studios, is save to assume that 2 will be likely to happen, likely they plan to steamline the things that FH/FM does together into a single team and them could deal with the updates together

Yeah, I probably should have put the word "Civic" somewhere in that post

If anyone was wondering if the Ferrari F80 might be the cover car for FH6, it won't be:

Are there any other good bets for the cover car?

I just now finally got the 340R! Woohoo I’ve got every car except a few DLC cars and 4 Extreme E cars I’ll live without.

Mclaren W1?

Or The upcoming Lamborghini "Fenomeno" hypercar

Maybe the Lexus LFR:

A shame as I really loved Forza Motorsport years ago. T10 had like 5 years to make a fresh FM and it flopped. This was after a string of games with FM5-7 that nobody really views highly. MS could just choose to not make one again and keep them around as a support studio for the engine that’s used by Playground Games in FH and Fable and still make some content updates for the current FM.

Turn 10 being a support studio for Horizon is probably a more likely outcome than Microsoft spinning up headcount again for the studio for several years to make another FM game; especially if the XBox division itself is on as borrowed time as it looks.
