couple things i hope we can do with fh5 events lab is do a timed trial race like u see in nfs games where u have to get to each checkpoint before the time runs out and just adds seconds when u pass. would be fun to race against the clock that way. and hopefully we can recreate rally mode from fh1's expansion
 
That thing I was working on today... well, it's behind schedule and I hope to deliver just before 12:01...

Any performance issues so far? In comparison with FH4?
 
ok just launched for me :D


since no one menitoned this before i decided to check out the audio settings and apparently u can finally set radio to be mute now. kinda wanted to do that since fh3. but we had to have some radio audio for that though.

I don't know what's up with the loyalty rewards, but the only car I've got is the Senna for FH4.

All the other qualifying games were played on this gamer tag, but only FH4 was installed to my Series X since I got it.

Yeah exactly the same here as well. At the moment I also have only FH4 and FH5 installed, but I played all the other games as well.
 
Wow, putting a SSD in my One X was a godsend. It doesn’t take anywhere near as long to load events as the comparison videos showed.

Menus do lag a bit though, especially when viewing the Car Collection screen.

I love how the car select screen has been overhauled. Each car looks like a scale model version of it from that overhead isometric view.

Now I've just got to get work out of the way, which is a massive inconvenience 😂

So apparently some people who bought the premium add-on for the game pass version of the game are having issues with the early access. They can't start the game even though it says on the store page that the early access is included in the add-on.

I'm only starting the game tomorrow so hopefully it's fixed by then.

Had no problems here playing at midnight with the premium add one game pass edition. Played for a good hour.
 
I have to say, I rather like the little expedition intro missions that you do when opening up a new outpost. Being encouraged to actually do a little sightseeing is quite nice.

So it turns out that it only gives the pop up notification for the Senna, but if you go into the cars section of the pause menu they should all be there. At least that's what happened with me.

Had one in the festival garage very early on, but no problems after that in about 3 hours of playtime.

I only got the Senna so far and I've played all seven games and have six of them installed on the same console. In fact I was playing Horizon 2 and 4 in the hours leading up to launch.
 
Question to over beloved Premium edition holders:
What weather presets available in blueprint tool in different seasons? PG mentioned snow at one of the streams, is it true?
 
Just completed a nearly a 9 hour first session and the only reason I'm stopping is cause my eyes can't hack it anymore,great game,looking forward to going back to it after a sleep.

Edit: I also only got the Senna as a reward car,should have had them all,although I did win a 2013 Viper off the wheel.

1) I absolutely agree! These expeditions can be so thrilling. The one for Apex/Tulum we all know from Forza Horizon Let’s Go! episodes, but the one for opening the Baja Festival was an amazing experience! I’m not going to give any spoilers but OMFG the sound effects during that expedition in combination with controller vibrations were a joy to experience. Tip to everyone that hasn’t done the Baja Festival yet: this thing absolutely rocks with a 5.1 sound system loud and controller vibrations at default.

2) About those loyalty cars. I just started FH5 on my aged gaming PC to see if I can access the game from here as well, and it works but it’s not playable (good enough to check car stats and whatnot). But on my PC I now got a new loyalty reward pop-up and cars added to my garage, its for 5 cars so there is still one missing!

  • Yesterday night @ XSX: Notification for 1 car (Senna, for FH4) and added to garage.
  • This morning @ Windows PC: Notification for 5 cars (all but the P1 for FM5) and added to garage.
  • So the P1 from FM5 is still missing, I hope that one will be sent later.

Thinking about it, FM5 is probably the game I played the longest ago from all the loyalty reward games. And it hasn’t been installed anymore for years.

Hope they can still give me the P1, if not then that’s no biggie either, the car is on the Auto Show for 1.35 mill credits. I ended FH4 will all cars in my garage and over 410 mill credits in the bank. 😁

Hot season weather:
clear-clear post rain-cloudy-cloudy post rain-overcast-light precipitation-heavy precipitatio-dust storm-gale-fog

Wet season weather:
clear-clear post rain-cloudy-cloudy post rain-overcast-light precipitation-heavy precipitatio-gale-fog

Storm season weather:
clear-clear post rain-cloudy-cloudy post rain-overcast-light precipitation-heavy precipitatio-tropical storm-gale-fog

Dry season weather:
clear-clear post rain-cloudy-cloudy post rain-overcast-light precipitation-heavy precipitatio-gale-fog

Time of day (in all seasons the same):
dawn-sunrise-morning-early afternoon-late afternoon-sunset-evening-night

So the differences are only the storms: dust storm in hot season and tropical storm in storm season. The other 2 seasons have no storms.

Also note worthy that there is no selection for snow. I guess that’s because the snow is now only applied to the higher altitude regions. So I expect that you cannot add any snow effect to Guanajuato for example.
 
Played the game for a few hours. Looks great gonna play more this weekend for sure, I’m almost at a million credits already and have 30+ cars.
 
Regarding those loyalty rewards: I also only got the FH4 reward so far, despite FH3 and FM7 also being installed on my Xbox Series X, and having played a bunch more with my gamertag. I seem to recall similar issues with previous Forza's, including one time I had to post a message on the official forums to get it fixed. No big deal.

First impressions are positive, as with everyone else. It drives well, looks great. I am wondering how soon I'll suffer from cactus-overload, but other than that it's all looking good.


And most importantly, after brief use of the Bronco and the welcome pack Evo X, I was quickly able to afford the Bentley Bentayga, which will now be my primary vehicle for most events for the rest of the game. Got to explore Mexico in luxury and style, obviously :D

P.S. Avatar attire so far is rather boring. Lots of T-shirts and jeans in the list, no formal wear. How can I have my avatar showing up in post-race victory scenes next to a Bentayga wearing this stuff? :eek:
