What a joke... Where is Forza?! So this game is a popular and critical success, I just can't understand.

I'm going to assume the nominees were placed before the game was released to critical success. Its nomination in racing was a given, & its nomination in sound could be from the development videos.

Not saying I agree with the nominees, though. Deathloop and It Takes Two seemed to have come and gone from what I saw. Some hype for them, and then fizzled out shortly after release.

I must say that I am disappointed with Forza Monthly today.
No update info, no info on car pass after 11/25.
There was a short introduction to the Event Lab, but this should have been done before the game was released. It's too late to be introduced now. We've been exposed to this feature more than 10 days ago.

My time's going to get absolutely flattened by the time everyone dives into rivals, but a little achievement like this is something!

I had fun playing Deathloop but once I beat the main campaign I pretty much closed the door on it. I'll come back to it in a while like I'll come back to Prey, just because I really like the whole feel of the setting, but it went from "I could spend all month in here" to "well that was a fun experience, now what" pretty quick. As for It Takes Two, everything I've seen in Let's Plays and walkthroughs has seemed tonally bizarre in every respect, it's unintentionally hilarious.

But now I'm wondering if we'll ever get to the point where racing games, even arcade-ish ones that have potential appeal outside us gearheads, will ever get that Real Gamer Cred. Because right now, it seems like we've been stuck in the "eh, whatever, that's normie stuff" category along with sports games. General-interest gamer-as-cultural-phenomenon coverage still seems to stick with the kind of perspective that has to preface any preview or review with "I'm not a car person and I can't tell a crankcase from a crankshaft, but..." qualifiers. Basically the majority of vocal gamers are of the "Burnout, Mario Kart, or nothing" type and it's kind of irritating, at least when I stop to think about it. Which is why I try not to.

The Group A accolade will unlock just fine when owning all the listed cars other than the Delta Integrale, I assume the same applies here.

It's curious that the Lancias would show up in the Accolades, tho. The order to remove FCA Italy cars must have come in the eleventh hour... But the Accolade works as it should, it's just the text description that still mentions cars missing from the game. One has to wonder if it's by accident, or on purpose.

A supercharger to the factory 1 cylinder engine, a 10 speed gearbox and slick tyres, among the usual upgrades of course, except no aero.

Unless you count the Aerodisc Rims.

Despite all the “Legit” times around me, I’m just over a second behind well established leaderboard topper Hamilton HD, someone who’s been doing Rivals leaderboards since FM4(Maybe earlier too.) so I know he’s genuine.

Hmm. There's an Accolade for getting three stars at any speed trap in an X class car. Can't trigger it at all - pinning the accolade gives me the requirements, and ticks the box that I'm driving the correct car (tried an X999 Ferrari 599 and an X999 Aston Martin Valhalla), but it won't give me the three-star part.

I've tried getting three stars a speed trap I've already passed, and three stars at a brand new speed trap. Nothing.

And it pings while I'm mucking around at the Festival drag strip in the Valhalla... Whatevs.

Sounds like when it always tells me I leveled up and have a wheelspin, about 30 minutes after I leveled up and used that wheelspin.

Yeah, I hear games journalists talk as if huge games don't even exist like when millions of people were checking out GT Sport one guy said "Sony don't have any big multiplayer games right now".

The general ignorance and lack of interest among journalists is odd given the high sales of racing games. They have only recently started being taken seriously by motorsport racing so we know it's mostly been gamers buying them over the years.

I had a terrible experience in one of the multiplayer races a few days ago. I forget what it was, but three talentless hacks were in the MB truck while the rest of us were in normal cars and they wouldn't let anyone pass, even those on their team. I made it past them several times because, again, they sucked ass and couldn't race worth a damn but every time I did they'd ram my car into the barrier or wall.

Several dozen dirty words came out of my mouth and I'm reminded why I hate online racing unless it's organized with people I know.

Speaking of organized racing, tho... H5 has the glorious Sierra crosskart which is basically useless in the division the game put it, and a half-decent Baja-cross track. Just sayin'.

Everyone's going on about how god tier the Sesto Elemento Forza Edition is, but the CLK GTR Forza Edition is an absolute weapon in its own right. I did the Volcán Sprint with it, wasn't even pushing it very hard, and still came up with a time of 2:33 and some change. That was good enough to put me around #1,300 on the leaderboards out of 245,000 entries. It's a bit understeery on tighter corners, but all you really have to do is point it in the right direction and it just goes.

In fact it seems like all of the Forza Edition cars I've tried are just really, really good drives with no need for extra tuning, which is a big change from the last game.

Just to put this out there... what's the point of Showcases? They're fully scripted, rubber-banded, borderline QTEs that you literally have to try to lose (and the AI will try really hard to stop you from losing).

Not the cleanest run though, could probably go another 1-2 seconds quicker at least.

Just to put this out there... what's the point of Showcases? They're fully scripted, rubber-banded, borderline QTEs that you literally have to try to lose (and the AI will try really hard to stop you from losing).

Yep. Been that way since the original, though it wasn't as blatantly obvious as it is now. As for the point? Car chase-levels of excitement, I'd assume.

Actually...I had an interesting experience with the monster truck showcase. I did two runs of it back to back for Accolades (1x for completion/winning, 1x because I missed the hidden thing) and I somehow lost the second run by a few tenths of a second despite having an absolutely flawless drive there.

the lancias are a text that was ment to be deleted. if u play on pc then u will see lancia in the text. same with that citroen logo where dmc suppose to be. only can be seen when playing on pc. doesnt appear on the xbox version.

Something I've noticed with auctioned cars is that the perks aren't reset like they are with gifted cars. If you want to be sure of getting wheelspins and mastery screen cars it may be better to save up and drop the extra cash at the autoshow to avoid disappointment.

That can happen every once in a blue moon (though it may be a bug in FH5's case because why not? Everything else seems to be. ) and I think it may have something to do with the AI being wonky.

Either way, completely broken, just as the cactus hunting. That's 6 points I don't get from the Forzathon. And the store is still broken.

You can get the cactus one using Super 7 events, the one I used is 531 845 273. It's literally just 500 cacti in a line.

Today i dedicated this tuesday in hunting down the remaining 14 barn finds scattered across the map. I've managed to find all of them in a span of one hour.

I've updated my tune spreadsheet to separate them in 4 distinct pages:

1) Road/Street Race Tunes
2) Dirt/Offroad Race Tunes
3) Drag Race Tunes
4) All Around Tunes (a.k.a. jack of all trades, master of none tunes)

In addition to that, 4 new tunes were added and 1 old tune got updated/replaced.

• Ferrari F12TDF: Rear-wheel drive power build for S1 Road Race.
• DeLorean DMC-12: AWD Drag tune with Funco F9's engine.
• Chevrolet Chevelle SS454: Offroad tune for B-Class Dirt/Offroad Race.
• Buick GSX: Offroad tune with Powerstroke swap for A-Class Dirt/Offroad Race.
• Dodge Charger Daytona: A-Class Offroad/Dirt Race tune updated. Now it's a heavy car with the Viper V10 engine.

Yesterday, i've promised to host some Youtube videos showing me burning through all my Wheelspins i've been accumulating until i reached the 1st Prestige level, so here it is. Enjoy!
